  1. If whips were banned, racing would be finished in NZ! Serious punters would not participate if they knew that their horse they had put their hard earned on, was not going to be given its best chance! Far more things to ban than the whip! Ban the Woke BS Lefties, that is the main cause for the state of the world at the moment!
  2. would be far better banning Green Party members! Am I allowed to say they are LOONIES?
  3. It looks a bit like a whip but it is a ehip!
  4. They say there has been increase of customers opening accounts? If these 21% opened accounts solely cos they now have free Trackside and coulldnt before when they had to pay, suggests that they may not be wagering too much! I hope that this Cameron Rodger is speaking the truth and the turnover does increase big time as he said if this 21% had not come on board they were in trouble! MR Cameron Rodger, if you want turnover to increase and by a helluva lot more than your 21%, then drop the betting restrictions that you the TAB have imposed, on certain punters?
  5. How do they know that Trackside audience is up 25%? have they asked everyone in the country if they watched Trackside on Saturday? Make up the figures as he goes along?
  6. Brodie isnt attacking anyone personally. Just think that they must have spokespeople for TAB and HRNz that could at least come on and put their point of view forward! The fact that neither do just shows contempt or a lack of confidence in the decisions they are making!
  7. The thing is when posters start a topic and it is about something that seems wrong or puzzling, I find it very hard to comprehend why a spokes person from HRNZ or the TAB dont come on BOAY, and defend their decisions? They are paid by the punters in NZ, without them they have not got a job! I reckon it is in fact very poor indeed and quite ignorant really!! If they have not got the guts to defend their decisions, I would be thinking that they can not defend their decisions and regret them? There are normally 2 sides to every decision but the fact that they are not prepared to discuss these things shows that they are more interested in their own financial interests, moreso than the interests of racing?
  8. And the 1980metre races are close to the small crowds that actually go out now?
  9. Decades ago they had the stands there at trials with a few horses in each heat. If it is ok as a starting position lets run all them from there? Some weird and dumb programming going on and I look forward to having many more of these 2400metre stands at Addington each and every week. crazy this time of year!
  10. So Norman, you are a believer in having a standing start just short of a sharp bend at Addington? What is your reason for supporting this 2400metre stand in the middle of Winter? How about a 1700 metre mobile at Addington then?
  11. What is interesting is the Auckland fields this week! There are 9 races and 5 for pacers and 4 for trotters! Used to be so many more pacers racing than trot races a and yet in Auckland this week they have 43 pacers and 36 trotters? Without the number of trotters around up there, the race meeting may not be going ahead?
  12. Do you really? Crazy, they are not Quarter horses! Who would want to bet into them? Only a few lineup in them so buggerall punting on them!
  13. They had a few of them at Forbury many years ago. Crazy!
  14. The 1700m would be near the bend and would be a shocker just like the mile start! What on earth inspired them to program a 2400m stand this week is hard to fathom?
  15. Noticed that Addington has a 2400 metre stand on Friday night for 35-50 class! Now I appreciate that they have one every year in December when the weather is warm and plenty of newbies drinking are there! However I am not too sure that in the middle of Winter there are going to be too many of newbies or regulars standing on the wet grass at the 2400metre mark to watch the horses close up? Is there really any reason they are holding this standing start race just prior to the Showgrounds sharp bend in Winter?? why not have a 1700 metre mobile, now that would be more interesting,
  16. Inconsistencies from the Stipes. Lol. Colin Defilippi was warned for using the ehip with more than a wrist action! Colin one of the good guys has been fined and suspended many times fir the same stupid thing and they warned him this time? Go figure? Brad Steele, if you want to improve harness racing in NZ, overturn your totally stupid whip rule and put it back to what it was and worked a decade ago!
  17. A lot of harness horses need the persuader, Ozzies use it more than Kiwis do, and it was temporarily banned in Oz, but that rule was overturned. There are a lot of other things that should be banned before the whip, such as COVID VACCINES that we now know maimed and are still killing people!!
  18. The North will struggle and Entain will realise this and some meetings will be cancelled. Know what you mean in regards to same horses and small fields especially on the Thursday and Friday nites. The low class meetings at Addington provide the best punting opportunities!
  19. If Luk did become more urgent earlier in the straight it would not have been beaten by a nose! It is what it is, Luk got the quinella!
  20. You dont get much sense from out of there unfortunately! The ones in Wellington that remain wont be too worried about much, they know they will be gone along with all of the others.
  21. The TAB dont seem to hold cash Ranga! Betting voucher and credit account
  22. We all know that the information on the new TAB website is now diabolically incorrect! Unfortunately a helluva lot of the information they are giving coming out Ozzie is totally misleading and is it on purpose?? When wagering on Sunday at Addington check the name of the race to see if it says MBL in the name which means it is a MOBILE START! There are several of the mobile races they quote as STANDING STARTS when they are NOT!!! This info coming out from Racing and Sports is shockingly poor and they claim that they have been trusted for 20+ years FFS! Delusional!!! We deserve far better than what they are offering, but hey apparently they want to improve turnover etc. well with this crap they are. far from impressing many! Hopefully this Brad Steele the new CEO from Ozzy and a mate of Dean Shannon, will sort it out?
  23. Fair enough and Luk does seem to throw the reigns at the rather than whip, but still maintain that a bIt more urgency earlier in the straight and Luk wins. It is what it is and we can criticise some driving in every race. We need more Luk Chin’s going around.
  24. Not trying to castigate Luk at all, although he should not have been beaten by the stablemate . Luk only tapped the horse once in the straight with the whip and that was very late in the piece. If he had shown more urgency earlier on then he would have have been further ahead, but he obviously felt he had the field covered! I have seen cases where a driver has been done for doing exactly what Luk did last night and less
  25. Luk Chin is great for harness facing in the North, not only his age but the no. Of times he lines his trotters up. He has a lot to do with the Cambridge Club but he does get favourable treatment up there from the Stipes. There have been occasions before where he has received preferential treatment that others would not have got!
