  1. Great that the NZ TAB brought back the “Head to Heads “ for harness!!! However, what is the point when you seem to be able to invest on them on your account???? Do not believe you can take them Or Power Plays at agencies, pub tabs or on course as there does not appear to be any OPTION NUMBERS!!!!!! It is pretty clear that the TAB is not interested in attracting punters money or they would be providing OPTION NUMBERS to enable punters to GAMBLE!!! If Brodie is wrong in what he says, I would be delighted to be proven that I am not on the money!!
  2. It would appear that with the success of the ozzies and Kiwis over in the States, there will be others that go as well. John Dunn has also mentioned ithat he may well be going in the next few years as well. Things need to change but We are not seeing too much being done for the betterment of the industry.
  3. Current UDR Carter Dalgety .4902 Sarah O’reilly .1440 You would have to think that Carter is the better driver at this stage by quite a lot and definitely the equal of Dexter in only his second season of driving? Best UDR of any Junior ever for 15 drives or more?
  4. World has gone mad with this BS that we are money launderers and/or sending money overseas to support terrorism!! Most people are going to have trouble keeping their families clothed and fed this year
  5. Ranga, so you believe that money launderers are offloading and risking their dirty money on harness racing gambling to win small amounts??? $1k nowadays is next to nothing and insignificant to any money launderer, they wouldnt waste their time, and yet the NZ TAB is happy to lose big turnover for no gain!!!!
  6. Personally havent heard of anyone being restricted on Sports Betting but I am sure that if someone was consistently winning on Sports, they would be restricted! Trying very hard not to comment on the Covid19 BS on BOAY this year as anyone with any intelligence is now aware that the Pfizer so called vaccines have done far more damage than any good, and most were conned by the one that abandoned her team of 4,999,999!
  7. no problem with NZ trying to stop money laundering from criminals or like! However the $1k limit on racing is total BS and the limit needs to be raised to a far higher amount! Money launderers are not going to waste their time with putting bets on of say$300 to potentially lose it on horse racing! You are seriously deluded if you think think the AML limit of $1k is not harming the racing industry! Never have and not going to play their stupid little AML GAME!!!!
  8. BGP are great for racing Gamma! However, they are allowed on for hundreds of thousands and yet others are allowed on to win a few hundred? This Anti Money Laundering Bill excuse they use to ensure that the NZ TAB knows everyone that places bets of $1k or win $1k is a load of BS!!!!! Seriously, they reckon that someone that puts on a small amount and wins $1k is potentially a money launderer???? it is all about total control!
  9. all I ask is for the TAB to play fair! They restrict everyone to the same amount or have no restrictions! When a group like BGP can get hundred of thousands on and others are restricted to microscopic amounts is certainly is not a fair playing ground. They should take the good with the bad as they are a gambling monopoly in NZ for racing. I am up for the challenge but they aren’t which continues to be a disappointment!
  10. Preferential treatment to one group of punters is just not on! All punters should be treated equally but the NZ TAB do not treat all punters the same!!! NZ Bookies, rethink your business plan and allow ALL PUNTERS to have the same rights as BOYS GET PAID! You are costing the racing industry big time with your narrow minded thinking!!!!!
  11. The shorter races are a lottery and you are correct, frontrunners dominate. So many horses are lining up with no show as drivers just go thru the motions!
  12. Suit and ties are just “so yesterday”Chief! What is the point of a stupid bit of material tied around our necks with the top button to the shirt done up? Smart casual is far more accepted now than people dressed up in a poncey suit with the hem around the ankles.
  13. Seems like a rather cumbersome way of doing it? Surely would be far easier for the stud to put the $1k credit on the invoice to the broodmare owner? Then the stud puts in a claim for the total amount of all the services supplied with the broodmare and owners name??? Would seem to be a far easier system but lets make it more complicated! There probably is not that many studs with stallions nowadays anyway?
  14. Geez $400k plus costs takes a lot of winning, although there have been some success stories in Perth from NZ horses. Some people have no issues paying big money for very promising horses although Regazza Mach won most of his races away from Addington so it was a bit of a risk for the purchaser. Many horses that race at Addington would have no problem running around in the tighter class races in the major cities in Oz. Think there are going to continue to be a big number of sales to Oz in the next year if things do not get more viable for owners!
  15. No idea what a horse like Cranboune would sell for to the States nowadays but bear in mind the exchange rate is not too bad for them! Personally think that Nathan Williamson is a consistently a better driver than Matthew but Just my opinion and UDR shows this! No point debating but Nathan us a very very good horseman!
  16. All good! Personally do not believe that $1k will make any difference to whether broodmare owners breed or not!
  17. Auckland race on Friday night again and once again it will be another loss making venture for harness in NZ! 6 races carded, 2 have only 7 starters and 3 have only the 6 starters!!!! Surely this can not continue and needs addressing as it wont get any better with the way things are being run! Turnover will be poor, oncourse attendance will be low and the racing will be boring you would think? It will be OK though because we can talk about “THE RACE”!! HRNZ need to address the elephant in the room that is the cost of racing horses to what you can earn with stakes. We know that the stakes are going to be reduced and training costs will continue to escalate! What is HRNZ suits doing about it???
  18. Are you sure about that? I have been led to believe it comes by way of a credit on the studs invoice to the owner??
  19. always on the money!! lizzie Richter has barely paced a full race in its career, although it has improved recently with ANOTHER TRAINER! Havent seen the race yet as the miles arent really worth watching, anything can win and clearly they can with the galloper Lizzie Richter today!
  20. Lol that lunatic won again? havent seen it yet, mustve not galloped and a weak field? Mark Jones now training it would help!
  21. Lol you are right, he did say “ you know me” Got $2?
  22. Brucie, he was the bloke that always asked for $1 lol. Harness needs those characters back!
  23. Galah, were you one of the regulars that went around picking up the discarded tickets and taking them home to check to see if they were winners?
  24. Carters UDR is .4889 Sarah’s .1792 currently Says it all really? Carter Dalgety would have the best UDR ever I would say and he is only going to improve Certainly as good as Dexter at the same age !
  25. Sorry Gamma, Sarah is very good, however Carter is the better driver the UDR clearly shows this now and he hasn’t needed to go to Palmy for easy kill! Sarah has more drives than Carter at the mo but young Carter is going to be picking the drives left right and centre soon. You will admit in the future that Brodie is on the money lol Anyway it is good for the industry and we need more of them. Dunn benefit day at Nelson.
