  1. This is what I had last week and the TAB said that they had no problems??? Maybe you have been banned from Punting Ranga?
  2. Yes from watching the replays The Crossing was diabolical. Lets just chuck some loose grass on top of the gravel that should be fine!!!!!!! This has come up regularly on many of our grass tracks and nothing surer it will turn punters off and away from racing! HRNZ are extremely quiet at the moment and I do not believe at all, that betting turnover on harness racing is healthy! Punters are fleeing.
  3. With respect, if the Stipes couldnt determine that the horse galloped over 50 metres in a continuous gallop then they need to go to SpecSavers and they are totally inept! How anyone could have any confidence in this Officialdom is impossible to fathom!, Maybe they should be looking for another career? Shocking decision once again.
  4. Unfortunately it doesn’t take a whole lot of intelligence to be a Stipe nowadays. From what I know it ain’t going to get any better on the future ! Not sure whether a I can say this Chief, but personally think they do a less than average job and are grossly over remunerated.
  5. Consistency and common sense is not a priority nowadays with the judiciary of harness racing unfortunately.
  6. Doesnt put Hamish Hunter’s training ability in a very good light, does it??
  7. It was the last race Galah! Want to get home as it was getting cold! Didnt watch any races live, but have just watched the replay and yes it was going rough many times inside the last 200metres. Yes it did gallop continuously for at least 50 metres and shouldve been ousted but there are dumb rules that HRNZ have adopted so they dont have to do any work! You are correct that because it was an AllStars horse it would be given favours!!
  8. Does no one know the answer?
  9. Seems to me that if someone that only wants 1% share in a horse then they probably wont have over a spare $3k to part with for the initial purchase. To my mind it would be better to be in a syndicate with a horse that is up and running rather than a $340k unproven yearling! Still think for many, syndicates are great for racing for affordabilty and enjoyment.
  10. What is the monthly training bill Mardy going by your %?
  11. Are these options available oncourse and TAB agencies does anyone know? or are they only available online? Why are there no option no.s??????
  12. I notice that the mothly payments dont start until March next year.
  13. What are the trainers charging for training nowadays? There is clearly a huge variance in training costs now and far higher than I was thinking! Stonewall Stud are doing a great job with their syndicates to get potentially new people into ownership so that it is affordable for the syndicate members! However it would seem on the face of it a great money spinner! A current advert seeking new syndicate members for an expensive yearling requires a payment of $3422 for a 1% share, $17,110 for a 5% share therefore valuing the horse at 342,200 so it has to be extremely good to win anywhere near the current value!!! PLUS the monthly payment for training is $36 for a 1% share $180 per month for the 5% share therefore the monthly income for training costs for this yearling is $3,600 or $43,200 per annum whether it is in work or in the paddock spelling! I appreciate people will say that it is giving people the chance to own a good horse but are training costs really $118 per day all inclusive bearing in mind that the horse wont be in work every day? No wonder harness can not attract owners!
  14. No offence Tim but there is absolutely no racism if the majority of people do not want to speak Māori. If you want to speak it then do so with those that wish to speak it. It is a language that has got absolutely no benefit whatsoever for the NZ population and even Maori do not know how to speak it! The BS of having it chucked down our throats by the media is absolutely repugnant and people who want to live their lives are over it! We live in New Zealand and not this other place that you want the name changed to! Call me a rascist if you want to cos that is what you do, but I am speaking for the silent NZ majority.
  15. What HRNZ and the TAB are doing is not working if they want a financially viable harness racing industry. Things are pretty tight out there for most people but they don’t seem to want to improve things! What happened to the brainstorming initiatives that were discussed? They can bury their heads in the sand and think they are great but it will be to the harness racing detriment. They need people to want to go on course so that they become addicted and then be punters and they won’t do this on a Thursday or Friday night which are work nights for most. Saturday nights are what the metro tracks should be racing to get people a greater chance to have a night out. It was a huge backward step when they decided to race Thursday Friday rather than Friday Saturday! From what I am seeing, the industry the way it is currently being run,is on a downward spiral that needs fixing. When the Trackside announcer says from the Bookies desk that $200 fixed bet is an amount worth mentioning then they are pretty deluded. Seriously the TAB needs to be encouraging wagering and get the turnover growing rather than stifling it with their pathetic restrictions on punters including the pedantic $1k anti money laundering limit. Nothing to do with AML the Clowns just want control like someone else we know!!
  16. Who woulve thought that a Southland harness meeting would be abandoned due to lack of entries? Obviously a very bad sign for racing in the deep south! Invercargill meeting set down for Friday this week has been abandoned due to lack of entries! Not sure whether Michael House had entered his horses but he has been keeping field no.s up at various meetings including Palmy! Reality is that things have been going backwards for owners for many years and is going to get worse with the cost of living and very few new owners coming through! There are many issues at play here that is making it look like harness racing is in a dire position and unless HRNZ and NZ TAB change policy and wake up, there will only be racing at Addington in the future.
  17. Personally dont think anything untoward going on here at all as very minute compared to how many horses Stonewall line up. Didnt Cran Dalgety lose a few awhile back? Bigger concern should be the loss of life and harm caused by people accepting being forced into having toxins injected into their body! Reality is that it is always going to happen that these high performance horses are going to have issues by running so fast nowadays. What we dont want is to have these SAFE lunatics sniffing around due to our own poohing in our own nest!!
  18. I am not overstating Carter’s skill level! He is by far our best Junior driver at the moment and definitely the best we have had for a long time. Trainers will be using him more and more as he has got what it takes in the top 2 inches! The fact that he has been around horses so early and been around Dexter and other good drivers it is not hard to understand why he is going to be one of our very best. Brodie is on the money
  19. Originally when the Telfers said they were setting up in Canterbury, I was not sure how they were going to go! Well they have showed us all what a great set up and trainers they actually are! By the look of it they are going to win the Premiership very very easily. Amanda Telfer obviously knows what she is doing but I would say there biggest asset is Tim Williams! It appears that the fallout with the AllStars has been a blessing in disguise and Tim is the one who has come out well ahead . Think AllStars loss is Stonewalls gain without doubt. Tim has developed massively over recent years and continues to give goals.
  20. I still maintain Carter in his first 2 years of Junior driving is a superior driver to Dexter! If he isn’t then he is very close and the best since Dexter. He sits very nicely in the cart, is confident and intelligent so he can only get better with experience. Dexter is in the top few drivers in the world his record shows that, however my point was Carter Dalgety as a Junior is equally as good.
  21. Probably am Ranga! Early days a superior UDR at this stage!
  22. Doesnt affect me Ranga, I live in NEW ZEALAND!!!! Blatant BS having Maori rammed down our throats!! I do have a major gambling problem! Never get enough on!
  23. Of course, the point I was making is that Carter’s UDR for both of his first 2 seasons as a Junior was superior to Dexter’s! Far superior to All other Juniors!
  24. Not sure what is going on? Can not get onto the TAB betting site saying that it is not available from my location! WTF? Not on Stewart Island or PNG! Has “The Brodster” been locked out by the NZ TAB or is everyone out?
  25. Mr Cock, maybe I have been on something? Have no figures as to how many Junior drives Dexter Dunn had! Seem you are Mr Know All, Mr Cock, what was Dexters best year UDR?????
