Brodie never off the money! We always get these figures quoted about turnover and I do not bother checking it as I do not know where it comes from! The win and Place pools in the races I looked at were poor and it can not be economical to be racing for the stake money being paid out! Of the $1.2m supposed turnover how much would that provide harness racing NZ to enable the stakes to be paid? Was the racing yesterday over the short distances fairer for the horses than the normal middle distance racing? Not on your nally!

Just terrible programming! Yes I will get hammered by some saying that they are trying to vary the programmes and the trainers love them!! Just very average racing that gives the horses out the back coming wide, no chance! At the end of the day without the punters, racing is dead in the hole! Great that people are trying to get racing up again and it ks very welcomed! However programming these crazy short distance racing is not the way to improve things. Many of the horses today that placed, just shows what a terrible decision it is!!!

Karrots, with respect, there arent really too many people interested in the NZ Cup this year, so you wont get much interest. There is not going to be patrons oncourse so it is a bit of a yawn really. Great that you are trying to get people enthused with Cup Day but you are pushing it uphill, as there are far more important things happening to NZ and Australia. Although it isnt going to lineup due to injury, who couldve possibly thought that Copperhead Rose wouldve ever started in a NZ Cup?????
