They are sold overseas . There is no money in racing horses in NZ unless it can win a group type race. We know unless you are in the AllStars colours you are pushing shite uphill mainly. The costs to breed a horse is far too expensive. The cost of having a horse trained plus associated costs just make it financially impractical to race a horse compared to the stake money .

Seriously Horrific night for punters! Not a single race worth having a go in! 3 horse race and all from the South Island, so why bother running it at Auckland? Auckland is Doomed, Doomed I say!!
  3. The no. Of people damaged already and in the future in NZ and around the world is huge. Covid is the flu, the Pfizer is a toxin and it is very dangerous. The media is evil and wont tell the truth!
  4. Must’ve crawled down to the dairy in my nappy!

    The Race

Chief, surely Michael Guerin wouldn’t be putting false information on TV???? Michael you are delusional if you think the IRD are going to allow you to claim back 33% back due to buying a slot in THE RACE!! Where on earth did he get this info from, or has ne just shot from the hip just like this incompetent lot that half the country put back in? Going to be very interesting to see who actually has more money than sense tomorrow!
  6. Galah, I am wondering if Chief will allow me to call them just a bunch of absolute tossers! You are a bigger tosser if you actually still believe the total BS that the citizens have had to endure for the past 2 years? It is the biggest scam in history bit as we know it is not about keeping everyone alive. You have been conned and this Booster is going to stuff you
  7. And more than happy I havent had the shit injected, and will never, even if they never l.et me out! Mass Disability Event according to the NZ Herald today! Huge no.s of people,in the U.S. with health issues now and they say it is going to bet far worse. They are calling it LONG COVID!!! I call it stupidity from allowing them to inject toxins into your body as it aint good! As I keep saying the Pfizer is a toxin that is going to have serious consequences for many that have been believing of the BS! Anyone who has health issues they are going to call it LONG COVID FFS , as they wont tell the truth and say it is from the toxic injections! You watch as people who havent even had Covid get health issues and they will say LONG COVID!!! Interesting times for the people who believe in that this lot have their best interrsts at heart. Personally know many who now wish they never got the Pfizer toxins in them and dont want anymore of the crap! Wakeup NZ! Sort of on topic Chief, people need to be aware so they can make an informed decision, so we have people around to keep racing going!
  8. Lol, never been there Hunter, watch the dirt track on Trackside every now and then. Dont actually know where Marburg is exactly? There would be quite a few that race there that probably wouldnt qualify in NZ!
  9. There is also the dust track at Marburg where the slow ones race.
  10. Lol no the harness track on the Gold Coast was at Parklands. As Gammalite said they closed the track and built all these horrible colourful units for accommodation for the Commonwealth Games. They were meant to build another track somewhere but never have and now race at Redcliff.
  11. I didn’t know that Gamma. It was John who was on the GC, Michael his son, was training in Victoria and was going pretty good. I think John went to Michaels after the GC track closed. John Langdon as you will know was a top trainer and driver and nice bloke. Richard Hooper could train pretty good, not so good was his driving though.
  12. Not sure on that!
  13. There were a few ex Kiwis that were training there when they closed the Parklands track. I know John Langdon had something to do with running the GC Club as I spoke to him once there, plus Richard Hooper was also based there and training. Even was close to “Steel Balls” one meeting over there, was interesting lol
  14. They have driven the punters and enthusiasts away from attending! I havent attended a full meeting at Addington for a couple of years, basically since the Commie closed the country down. Actually do not really miss it at all, for a variety lf reasons and I know many that dont bother now either. This is why I think interest is dwindling for the sport and it needs to be resurrected or the end result is not going to be that flash!
  15. Most of the time there wernt any Bookies oncourse. Wouldve gone to in excess of 70 meetings at Parklands, and probably only saw a Bookie oncourse 3 or 4 times. Not sure whether Bookies was ever that strong at Parklands on the GC ever, certainly were not in the last 20years that they raced.
  16. Parklands at Surfers Paradise was great racing, very relaxed! Went many many times and easy to make money. Redcliff is a dog of a track even though I have never been to it, but you can tell watching on Trackside. Not worth betting on the tote in Queensland as there is never anything worthwhile in the pools. Had a a few cracks on fixed over there, however they are tighter than nuns!
  17. What about the state of the “Crossing” on the first day? An absolute shocker, they went up and then down! How can course attendants do such an abysmal job of something so simple?
  18. There is very little attendance Chief! Why?
  19. Dogs have wrists, so why dont sheep have wrists? Are sheep legs totally different to a dog’s leg? Anyway, you know what I mean, Chief! To be taking advice and accepting of what Ardern, Bloomfield etc. are wanking on about, without looking for the truth is limp wristed and poor form. The Labour Government is performing 100% at total incompetency and to continue to follow this BS in regards to Boosters giving you the best protection from this mild Omicron, is pathetic from the citizens of NZ! The consequences to peoples health from allowing toxins into their body is going to be catastrophic in the future! The CEO lf Pfizer even says that the Booster gives minimal protection, so go figure? In the next month or so Ardern will the want an Omicron accine to go into you FFS! Anyway if you are stupid enough to believe her then I wish you the best of luck, you will need it!
  20. Reality is that NZ is now full of limp wrist, easily accepting of BS sheep. This is a mild virus that most people who test positive for this thing, do not have any symptoms or very mild at worst. Not a single person in ICU in NZ and next to no cases in the South Island and yet all these DICKHEADS think it is something to be worried about! As I have said many times before, suicides, broke business and partnership breakups are a far bigger worry than this effing COVID19!!!!!!!! Wake up NZ, it is nothing to do with a virus! The government is your enemy, not your friend! The jabbed are the ones that are transmitting this mild virus so why is it that the intelligent ones are the ones not allowed in pubs and restaurants etc? Watch this space as hopefully the sheep will awake from their slumber!
  21. Trackside has potentially had a negative effect on harness racing! The fact is that why would you really bother going to the track and taking others including your kids with you now? There really is absolutely no atmosphere anymore and you can watch the races in the comfort of your lounge and the food cost is so much less! You have the same BS re the AML that needs getting rid of! Unfortunately there are major headwinds at play for racing in NZ that are going to be very hard to reverse. Yes you can say that things are going ok and we can do this and that as talk is easy, but it is the action that is what is going to determine whether harness racing can survive around NZ! From my own standpoint, I still love the sport and hope that it can survive and thrive! Personally speaking from my position as a punter it is totally broken and unless attitudes to punters change then the industry is going to decline as they are not doing anything constructive to retain or introduce new people to spend money!!!!!! As to achieving to introduce nee owners to the sport, I believe it is going to be almost impossible as the current generation have got far more important issues ahead of them. The country has gone from having relatively low level of debt to now being heavily indebted by a so called government that has totally over reacted to a mild virus. This action by a totally incompetent bunch of non business Socialists has now left the coming generations debt that will take a lot of pain to recover from. This constant BS from the government and paid off media has people believing that this Covid19 has been worth blowing trns kf billions of dollars that the country of 5 million could afford. Heads should roll and those of you that voted Labour back in last election, must realise that what you did is the reason that the country is still in a real mess.
  22. More trainers on their own wont bring in more owners unfortunately! Reality is that harness has lost a generation and this Covid BS is going to make things worse if that is possible. There is very little money in it for anyone nowadays and that includes the punters, as they get hammered if they are successful. Auckland can not attract enough people into the sport to even be able to run successful Junior driver races, so that is an i dictment on the sport surely. The costs to owners is prohibitive compared to the prospects of winning sufficient money to make it pay. The yearling sales this year is going to be very interesting, to see if the average owner is prepared to front up and pay big money for horses with the likelihood of losing money.
  23. To be fair, why does anyone bet on mile racing? Any horse can run over a mile in a quick time. It is a total lottery this stupid short distance racing in NZ, and there should be a mandate from Robertson to have 2000m as a minimum distance!!
  24. Be ok if you can get on for a reasonable amount.
  25. No it wont help NZ harness Chief, but what is the answer up there? No one wants to start training up there as there are not enough new owners coming thru! The NZ TAB do not want certain punters from wagering on harness racing! The tote pools are pathetically small, so would not think that fixed odds are huge due to restrictions! The racing is as boring as anything so buggerall go to watch oncourse so no new punters coming thru! The programming of races is shocking due to both the small no. Of horses racing and the Dickheads programming boring sprint races!!! Unfortunately can not see how it is going to get any better as so many business owners in Auckland have been decimated financially due to the total over reaction to a mild virus they gave a name to COVID19!!!! The modellers have once again been telling BS to the believers!!
