Well said happy, personally if I miss the pacers final I'm really not fussed, not one of those horses I would consider a crowd puller. As you say with the trotters there is still an unwritten script about them.

Aussies got to have a go from their draws long way to come to just lay down and do nothing or another all stars bore fest on the cards.

More often than not Nat is on the right one, although NZ cup the best and hungriest driver I've seen for a long time blew that out of the water......

For me it's the watching and having a bet ? still love the grass track races. .no A.S horses supporting local races,.. only appear at the premier meetings where the money is up....but don't back their horses running in NZ when Mark and Nat are campaigning others in Australia......they seem to underperform and have a virus ?

It's like a huge mall moving in next to a lot of little shops..... good on them, they have the cash, but for me the fun has gone out of big pacing races... trotters require more patience and are more fun now for me........ With 3 or 4 of the top horses in every group level pacing race now it's just hohum 20 + years ago more trainers more horses, no blood spinning etc....it's sad but for most owners the only money is on selling o/s which is no good for the local product

Let's hope the straight out trotters can subdue them for a bit longer, it's the one facet of harness I really love now, it's unpredictable and lots more fingers in the pie....I echo hunters wishes to you guys in the final

Just watching again, purdon could well have got hemmed up if there was something strong enough outside him in the straight that kept it's line.....my personal thought, he keeps parked he wins, especially a 1700m race, If I had backed him I would be extremely pissed off....
