  1. You only need 1 $17 winner to get ahead n.m ... But it was a funny day punting wise for sure, .. bring on the mot! $600 for your 30% treb not bad!
  2. Hes certainly all dressed up!
  3. There you go n.m, thanks for that, I backed didjbringthebeers this morning but was scratched and popped refund on globe trekker.....many thanks!
  4. Your right from a plain punting point of view, if you know your horse is cuddled up in the trail you know you'll get a run, but as a spectacle it has made watching a race a bit dreary, Aaron white doesn't have to call much further back than some horse waiting for the passing Lane very often. I just remember what got me interested and excited in the sport as a kid were the mid race moves and horses coming from the back to win races.
  5. Nice happy, and Newmarket gave us the quinella
  6. Auckland trotting just getting worse, it's like they are just going through the motions, scrap the passing Lane and you will see plenty of thinking drivers make moves and, apply pressure etc . The trailing horse and 3 back on the inside don't have to think anymore they know they'll get a run, where as in the old days the master horsemen that were locked up used to work overtime to get their horse Off the rail . Gloscester park a good example of no passing Lane and great exiting racing where the drivers don't die wondering!
  7. "Scoobmarket" his nasty diatribe clearly not going down well .
  8. The guy needs a medal
  9. Nice to have Eugenie coming down under, rather than that moaning non trier Serena......... Thomaaas wtf is that bloke Ivan doing on his video on that Twitter feed you sent about 8 tweets down from Eugenie? That's not the princesses Pilates instructor is it?
  10. At this rate of horses leaving NZ raphoe will be given a 20metre handicap in next year's cup!
  11. About time, I feel sick when those crude screens go round a horse on the track. I remember a thoroughbred race in the early 80's possibly the big sprint that Avondale used to have, I think it was the Concord and a horse broke down, the screens were put up but the trainer wasn't having any of it and he limped the horse onto his horse float, not sure what the end result was, but it made me feel happy at the time.
  12. I have no doubt he will ... imagine him racing on the smaller tracks over there, the way he fights they wouldn't get past....
  13. Sorry to say Harewood, but not many holding on to the decent ones, such is the strangle hold on the big NZ races one stable has......the level just under top class never get the chance to develop over here as the money owners get from the u.s or Aussies is to good to refuse....and the Aussies have a knack of turning those horses into top liners eg Chicago bull.. Anna Malak will surely be a star in WA, Friday nights ordinary races worth $20,000 or so at Gloucester park...we are now just a nursery for the U.S and Australia.
  14. Pretty sure he never raced again after that....,
  15. Yes I think it was, he had won all his heats and got sick or broke down, Aussies had some crackers in the 80s
  16. 4 years earlier I was 13 at alexandra park watching gammalite and popular alm battle out the finish of the final, great horses so didn't mind to much......old delightful lady 3rd
  17. What a shame, always loved the idoms growing up, I'm sure horses were subsidised back then to travel, poor stake for the trotters final as well $350000 less than the Pacers final, would love to see parity one day for both gaits!
  18. The drivers that adhere to the rule and punters that back horse's that these drivers are on are the losers.not to mention the owners....get rid of the rule or make a punishment that is fitting. Make the whip softer? (I believe it is pretty cushioned already)
  19. Your right Brodie, either get rid of the rule or enforce it, they are piss weak and drivers know they can get away with flouting the whip rules.
  20. Here's Chevy calling out Scooby about 'scoobmarkets' behaviour CHEVY Scooby is Newmarket on r.c now!
  21. Welcome booby, all the good ones slowly drifting over.
  22. Thanks to you Rees, I had a nice bet on p.p today has a bit of fight alright,... majestic man will come right
  23. The value in your beloved Preston pans is non existent tomorrow Rees....but should still be winning
  24. All I can say is "scoobmarket" what a W..ker ..Tasman man pretty big owner knows his stuff, "scoobmarket" as wide as he is tall nowadays but one of the most moronic comments you are likely to see!
