You could see in his past few races he wasn't right, you spend all that money on him and for the sake of a couple of big races you spoil his racing record and his potential Aura at stud....i don't know, time will tell but I can see the yanks being turned off him now.
-
You do, but they are not machines, I really don't think they gave him a chance to get over that virus, I think they could have been a little more patient, it has cost the new owners big Time in The end
-
Spot on bloss, they were so greedy to start recouping the money they spent, they didn't give him a chance to acclimatise let alone get over that virus...He will be at a bargain price over there at stud now.

Quite right happy and don't forget R.C Newmarket who has a friend that emails him when something is said on boay....what a load of shite!!! There are only about half a dozen posters on the trot section not counting the ones that are the same person....but you are right it's all very contrived you have to be a real arse creeper or escaped from an asylum to be allowed to have an opinion.

Yes ordinary horses can run 53/54 halves on those manicured tracks over a mile, can make average horses look sensational. 1.51 will look good next to her name as a broodmare
-
They both went cracking races, pats delight very tough
-
Your on form at the moment kak! Good stuff. We will have to rename you the "sardine" boay's version of the shark and the whale...!
-
I was trying to be gentle!
-
Is this guy playing with a full deck? Oh no alot of people on boay seem to have abused their privelages on shit café by not agreeing with everything said on there in the past! So nice to be somewhere where you are allowed an opinion. ?
-
Yes a bit strange the he is that he is the only journo in the know!
-
Sad note to end on....

Lazarus Sale: This will be interesting to follow

Very poor, no fight at all must be something amiss, having said that I really don't think the usa style of racing is his bag...The owners would have had a great time watching him dominate here for the next few years and then a healthy stud fee to boot! -
Nice one k good money

Its funny what a bit of competition does to people, Scooby has a very, Long Brown tongue nowadays to the people left on R.C when talking to them....but you can see being nice to people doesn't come naturally to him.... probably one of his biggest drawcards and contributors( love him or hate him) giving him the bird and leaving R.C is a telling factor. But I guess Scrooge changed his ways so there is hope for everyone! ....cue tui's ad

I can't see the Nats getting in next election, not until the baby is 5 and loses its appeal!! The women politicians seem much stronger than the men now.....The males are a complete bunch of drips.. the world of politics in nz is upside down!

Ultimate Machete: A false favourite for the Cup?
Flagship uberalles replied to Happy Sunrise's topic in Trotting Chat
Quite right Basil, it wasn't until the 3rd 1/4 that z Butcher put the foot down but by then Gary Hall had a lap full of horse and it was only a matter of time -
That's the big surprise that the Nats only lost a few points, I for one was a big National supporter till john key came along and gave our country away....Nats have always had a dominant figure, I can't see one on the horizon now for them maybe crusher at best!

Ultimate Machete: A false favourite for the Cup?

I agree, but apart from Jacks legend what did he beat? And believe me i have been backing Chicago since the tab included him in the nz cup betting. If he can cans away in the nz cup like he did tonight he'll be toast....very happy to have got $2.10ff on him tonight against practically a c4-5 field! -
Where else can these low grade horses race competitively through I'm sure owners and trainers of these horses must be thankful. I used to enjoy that 4yo series forbury had in the 80' some top class animals used to run in it......forbury also had the idoms there at one stage!
-
Grand horse and I'm sure many a Guinness drunk in his honour, like Jess I'm sure he will have a nice paddock win lose or draw!
-
Amazing, and good on the owners for perseverance, without horses like old Alexy running around (and there are a fair few) I think we would struggle to get the fields we do in the Otago/Southland region, the likes of chief kapai, machie Mach come to mind as horses that keep bobbing up and winning now and again....I know people turn their noses up at forbury, but they run good sized fields that are competitive at a lowly level... would love to seem them get a decent race there again or a Friday race night....crowds must be crap on a Thursday night..only Auckland and Addington allowed to race Fridays!!

Lucky he wasn't on my patranus! -
Flying Stakes: What it told us for the Cup?
Flagship uberalles replied to Happy Sunrise's topic in Trotting Chat
He won a couple of times on the bigger track of Winton, wouldn't think track size would make a difference to him, I hope they drive him aggressively, it will make the cup a real spectacle -
