  1. Surely the running of the Harness 5000 at Ashburton and Invercargill Cup day on the same weekend was the biggest blunder HRNZ has made.Tha available horse pool was badly split between the 2 meetings.
  2. Is there a bias against SI jockeys with the Hall of Fame administration? Paul Richards won over 1000 winners and is also missing from the list.
  3. Seems a good way to get a lot of younger people involved, and going to the races for a small outlay. The thrill of your horse winning is the same if you own 100% or 1000 %
  4. Surely it is time to limit the numbers starting in standing starts, both the DG Jones trot and the Akaroa cup at the Mot have had two many horses trying to be lined up, took 13 minutes to get them away yesterday. Any thoughts?
  5. I'm sorry TAB FOREVER and Rangatira,I made the mistake of posting after 3 bears (beers),of course Real Force won at Addington on 1990,that year the Pacing champs were held in Adelaide Accept my apologies. Even the mighty can fail
  6. I'm sorry to correct you TAB FOREVER, but the year Rondel won at Addington, Real Force and Peter Davis won the Trotting final
  7. Can I now nominate a colt or gelding for the NZ Oaks?
  8. Chief, I wasn't trying to make a statement about something I know that many others don't
  9. Now part of the northern Stonewall team
  10. Mouse was probably one of the best front running jockeys of his time, certainly better than the modern brigade st Riccarton
  11. Great drive to win the big trot at Northern Southland today, also trains the winner I
  12. Doomed, Another southern jumper that did well in Australia was Derrydonnell who won a Grand National for Mouse Kennedy, both him and Bell Flight were ridden by Nick Harnett who shifted to Victoria soon after.
  13. Just Believe was always the only contender for horse of the year based on performance, won the Rowe cup, the Dominion, and the slot race at Cambridge.I suspect Keeyang Zahara would have been 2nd placed. These were by far the best performers, I think that they are Australian is immaterial
  14. If they are going to drug test drivers, I suggest they test BP, fronting the Sunday Session, he's trying to make it a sleep fest compared to recent weeks when it has been good fun when lead by the young females.
  15. There is surely nothing else the North Island administration can think of to cock up a race meeting
