If you are a licensed racing person don't call Cindy a mole!

There is a person in NZ thankfully not residing on this forum who in comparison would have got several lifetime bans.- 1 reply

As for betting I think there should be some rationality in the rules. Therefore a limit placed on jockeys, trainers, jockey agents and officials such as handicappers. Instead of zero for e.g. jockeys have a simple limit also for officials. In this day and age a judge is hardly going to change the result of the race if he had 10 each way on the runner up. In the case of a presenter its a bit like a share trading journalist. Buy shares, heavily promote the shares then sell them for a profit.

Listening to Michael Guerin can be rather stressful. Ok he seems to have ditched his diction tutor but his oh so "knowledgeable" punting info leaves lot to be desired. The Foxbridge was the first WFA for the season with disjointed preps. Yet Guerin relayed to all it was a 2 horse race. His so called "speed map" totally overrated and lacked logic for this time of year. Yet when it came to his own money he informed us he had $1000 a place at 7:1 early in the week on The Chosen One. Now did he elaborate on this? No. Had he spoken to Andrew Forsman ? We don't know. Its the same with Emily. How often do we hear what Opie has said. And previously when Karyn was on board did we ever know exactly what Te Akau was thinking.

I was starting to enjoy the days offering until the greyhounds jumped in. -
Curious, If the bar became a place of interest prior to your posting the article (24Aug) how come it only appeared on the official list yesterday. Something doesn't smell right. Maybe Molloy went to lawyers to stymy getting on the list.

The viaduct is deadly. It intersects train, bus, ferry and auto transients. Most businesses there creamed windfalls because of the government subsidy of Americas Cup. How many repayed the wage subsidy that kept them earning millions. Hardly surprising the abusers bar is caught up in the outbreak. All these downtown outfits need to be closed for at least a year. One case there can spread overnight to all parts of Auckland.

Congrats Bernard - another one bites the dust

What a huge coincidence they are in the same building. Have board members that are simultaneously on the both. Share a lot of the facilities. Constantly meet. You are right on one thing. The rubber stamp. -
Ridiculous fine. $100 would have been fair. Wayback when I did stint as owner/trainer there was a seven day rule. 3 days before the race my vet applied some ointment on a slightly infected fetlock. Being an honest sort of guy I reported the treatment as per the 7 day rule. To my dismay on the morning of the race they scratched my horse and fined me $30. Apparently unbeknown to the vet and me the withholding period had changed. After that I learned the hard way it doesn't pay to be "honest".

Well finally the Channel X moderator has admitted the harmful, disgusting and vindictive posts made by Leo Molloy over the years by deleting them. You have to love the latest post replying to "Insider". Insider and Molloy go back long ways which must give rise to wonder what impairment substance he is on. Many nutcases get on the ballot for Mayor etc. This is another one.

Maybe the fact a few hours earlier JFK was assassinated pushed it off the headlines. Sorry wrong month (edit)

Good 2010 article by Mike Dillon. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/racing-greatest-thrill-was-passing-the-post-first-in-the-cox-plate/NNDP4TS3NSMKDDYVDKHL36Q6C4/ Didn't realize he won the Cox Plate.

TAB have admitted their error and are replenishing affected accounts. Also thankful for pointing out the error. However distinct possibility that same problem has been on going for sometime. One thing when Mike Dore was at the helm of interacting with punters these errors would immediately have been listened to. "Help" desk isn't much help at all.

Most racing type movies I find underwhelming. Patronizing and hardly realistic. However this 1952 black and white film is regarded as a classic. Excellent acting and tit bits within it very realistic. Its on youtube called Boots Malone. If you like it...... how about signing the Julian Assange petition. https://www.change.org/p/free-julian-assange-before-it-s-too-late-stop-usa-extradition

Thats a 1% chance. The dividends were correct when flashed across the screen soon after passing the post. They are also correct on the closing divs. But wrong on the payout. I guess I get a bit uptight when someone has tunnel vision like a judge or jury. Look at the case of Craig Murray (Scotland). The judge sentenced him because he could have breached a suppresion order. Your "mate" got off much lighter compared to the 8 months jail for Craig Murray.

So I rang the TAB. Asked to speak to operations. "no we can't do that" So I explained the problem. There after followed a series of exchanges bordering on abusive. The gist being I am stupid the TAB is always right. final word was "we are not going to take the word of one customer"
-
There is just far too much errors due to ignorance at the TAB. In the four place totes they obviously picked up the error because they changed back to 3 divs. But then not to realize the dividends needed changing is just beyond stupid. Or was it a policy decision thinking no one would notice?
-
Take a look at the images. pic1 is the official result. i.e. the result paid out. pic2 is the initial result. Seems they made an error thinking there were 4 dividends for a place. pic3 is the official closing prices.

NEUTRAL....What a joke. The person in question has irritated maybe hundreds with his postings and going on some revelations his business dealings. Most people get into racing to enjoy, participate and hopefully make a contribution. Without any provocation Molloy has responded with personal abuse often researching a persons past and twisting facts to smear that person. I daresay numerous poeple have given up racing as they don't want the hassle. I don't know how long you've been on these forums but I've been in on the long haul so I've seen the postings many under different names even when agreed legally he would not post. I suggest you shake off the Molloy abuse mentality and show some sense.

Yes every time I've tuned in the TAB is giving away something. So I ask how much is the TAB going to budget on spending with SENZ. Plus how much less advertising revenue do the clubs, trackside etc rake in due to SENZ grabbing it.
-
Molloy not only posted the name of the accused but a full blown photo. I recall somewhere on the other site him saying that doing community service was an "honour" and has often skited how much money he has. So I fail to see how he can possibly complain about the penalty which compared to other cases overseas was extremely light.

I don't have much sympathy for studmasters. Whats wrong with encouraging, training, rewarding New Zealanders.

Rather intriguing article. Anyone have experience? https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/447774/nzta-manual-change-causes-headaches-for-horse-truck-and-motorhome-owners
