Nice story good that you got him back after retirement. Notice the half brother Bob's Boy was pretty good. For the number of horses Andrew has had quite amazing record. Four horses have since run a faster 1100 at Otaki. Not wishing to stir the "pot" but one had to chuckle about the Mother Fokker gravy, jockey roast and the judge having a job deciding whether gravy was a sauce. Don't think the Mother Fokker product would sell well on mothers day though.

Tim, if you get back and have the time love to hear the story on Generalk There is a story behind every galloper but most importantly some lesson to be learnt. Must admit can't remember the horse.

Tim, Its not always a good idea to post with your real name. With search engines your content can show up alongside objectionable content that you strongly disagree with. That gives the trolls an opportunity and excuse to cast you in a light not justified. Thats my take on it anyway.

Yes I have followed your episodes with Molloy for probably 14 years. I haven't seen anything remotely that would justify the vendetta and spite against you. Not only has it been irrational but also illegal. Clearly its the type of behaviour the Digital Harm Act was designed to prevent. For so long Molloy has tried to belittle, embarrass and denigrate you obviously its illegal but I realize the daunting task and hassle of starting legal action. Mr Carter if you saw all Molloys internet postings and the people he has hounded away from racing you would change your opinion. Like you aliases are used but after time most people identify the poster so please don't start copying Molloys example with the "nonames" put down.

Generalk you totally miss the point. Just because Leo goes to Church Sundays doesn't mean he can break all the rules elsewhere because of that. Most people couldn't care what Leo does or has done but when it comes to social media certain rules, customs, behaviour needs to be observed. Molloy is easily the worst offender of breaking those rules I have come across. Then there are those that buy into Leo imagined them/us conflict and sadly you seem to be one of those.

Agree. Disgusting seeing horses come to the last fence having to jump it almost exhausted. However the economics just don't add up. Transitioning horses from racing to show jumping or for hack could still occur with races for qualified jumpers on the flat. Given the number of injuries to riders both on raceday and at home, the level of interest both from punters and spectators plus all the costs its a no brainer. Jumps racing has to go.

Its pretty well documented how terrible, illogical and badly thought out the whole platform venture has been. What doesn't seem to get attention is a call out of how the decision to go with the project came about. Who pushed for it and who authorized it. With that come questions about the whole way racing is managed. An army of board members, managers, consultants along with a trove of dummies. Not even a murmur from them of what went wrong? But hey racing just scored $72 million from the government so everything sweet now.

When racing restarts I doubt there will be any SkyTV. So where does that put NZ racing. Its quite obvious SkyTV cannot compete with the likes of YouTube, Netflix and others. The only reason I've ever had Sky is because racing. Russian TV is getting a bit tiresome. There is just nothing worthwhile on SkyTv even before the virus. Plain and simple SkyTV is dead. Why should racing follow down the same path?

Yes. $9000 yearling.Small. Hard ridden recent trials. Perhaps someone on the computer seen ages ago won trial sub 60sec for 1000. The horses in that trial were stretched across the track none of which any good. That said the horse today went to line reasonably well so probably exceeded my expectations even though well beaten.

Don't know if many follow WA racing but the first race at Geraldton has got me head scratching. Why did from the get go bookies make Rubillicious Rose the favorite??? Being a bonus race no doubt the bonus addicts will go betting on the favourite. Maybe they know something I don't. Anyway still looking.

You are fifty years too late. Or have you been saying the same thing all that time. Perhaps its time to shut up the horse has bolted.!!

What gets me that there are businesses owned by members of the so called NZ rich list which cater for billionaires coming to NZ so hardly essential for New Zealanders. Yet these biz owners are the first to hold their hand out to the government.

We need a whistleblower. Someone who was there a while.

Unfortunately racing suspended from Tasmania. They had livestream from the track even though still tied up with Sky Racing. With 5G this should mean every track can livestream so that viewers can decide what to view.

Yes however in the early days of RC (angie & dave) the Racing Board were the first to endorse RC on their racing portal they established can't remember the name. That was before everyone started using Google so portals were common. Murray, I believe that photographers e.g. Race Images can play a far bigger role online and not just specialize in photos for owners. Any thoughts?

Thats good. The way see it there will have to be greater emphasis presenting racing online whilst NZTR are going to have to cut costs. Therefore NZTR & TAB should reach out to people like Chief to advance the online experience.

Coincidence perhaps. Suddenly appearing on the other channel request for ideas by email. That however is not the same as an open forum.

This crisis even if solved soon will revolutionize many ways people work. New Zealand has so many natural advantages it is stupid piling so much money into central Auckland. Example. The convention centre. i.e. the burnt out centre. Why would you come from high density areas like Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, etc etc and be holed up in middle of Auckland. Also why billions spent on the rail tunnel when a kilometre or two walking to work would do wonders for the heart. Already estimated $5billion probably $8billion when finished. Racing does not need any offices in Petone of all places. There are plenty racecourses for a head office e.g. Ellerslie and new management techniques using technology for mobility.
-
With your experience setting up quickly forum websites I really think your services should be taken up by NZTR, HRNZ, GRC or RITA Now is the time industry participants must be communicating and floating ideas. Racing management won't go out to forums because they fear any criticism of themselves so if they have control then so be it. The main thing there has to be open two way communication.

Health System "Stretched"! Uh? Be Vigilant of Crap Jounalism
The Centaur replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Galloping Chat
When I was in hospital for several weeks knocked out for some I was surprised at the number of overseas patients particularly from Asia. Staff told me it was significant boost to finances otherwise the tax payer would be paying far more. I would say many of those coming back only because of the better, cheaper accessible health service. -
The yearling full brother to Verry Elleegant surely must be a steal of the year at $140,000 purchased by Bob Peters Western Australia, Looked magnificent albeit on the TV but I make a prediction it will be the best horse in WA in a couple of years. Pity WA don't get many wet tracks however. Don't think it can do worse than the $2.2M horse running at Wyong. They finally moved to Plan C and gelded the horse. Didn't help still ran last in a maiden.

What a load of rubbish above. The situation is extremely serious. Don't forget that due to the nature of the problem the health system cannot perform as it normally would. A good proportion of the time safeguarding health workers is the focus. No health worker should be put at risk. Bed capacity in hospitals means nothing if there are limits on how close and in what numbers patients can be housed. Even travelling in an Ambulance how do we know the virus doesn't remain in the vehicle. Look up the meaning for exponential growth. -
Most people who go to a university do so to educate themselves on what they feel most passionate about and will launch or further their careers. Well Dean McKenzie did so in Sports Management. So the self appointed genius on the other racing forum went about lobbying his yes men who invariably can make tax deductions for their eating and drinking habits to install McKenzie as racing's bright hope in Wellington. Never thought "the genius" was into sports in such a big way.

Doubt your high school daughter would have got a pass writing that screed. What has 9/11 got to do with it. The only useful information in that pathetic rubbish is the COVID helpline number. Oh as well there is the bit on esports WOW!!!

The farmer with teenage kids is ideally placed to keep horses going. Perhaps a marketing area for NZTR to pursue. Even get new families started in racing with retired trainers acting as advisers on the phone.
