Good job Curious …..no wonder all the surveys etc….. NZ TAB thought with geo blocking 💰 would come flooding back…. not going that well is it. Then they lose the doggy revenue, and those involved in the sport may also not bet again..

Wow, Had a few bucks on Longview Tui, looked like it locked wheels first attempt, 2nd go used up to speed to lead…. race stopped.. another attempt but horse was spent already, a few others were affected to. Should have been a late scratching ….

Good that you mention the Melbourne Cup. Pretty sure 7 or 8 horses have died in the past decade while racing in the Cup? Not a good look is it, very few died previous years, so what’s the cause?

Yep, you’re right. I think issue with Chief is that he’s not a regular punter, and knows zero about Australian operators.

Things have changed …. Races beamed all over the world so really public wouldn’t know how many nags injured or died 30 yrs ago….. but everything under the microscope. Also didn’t have the protesters or greenies years ago…..times a changing.

You always get the wrong end of the stick, I LOVE JUMPING RACES. But things should change as jumping racing both here and Aus not a good look. Maybe run over shorter distances, seems most fall later in race. Maybe some jump races shouldn’t be run on certain tracks…. lower fences? I don’t have all the answers, but the dog brigade over many years could have sharpened up their game…which could have saved them.

Have a mate living in Aus, pressure on to get rid of jumping. We all know 3 died at the the Bool late last year.

Pathetic….who received this? Where are the new punters or punters they want to increase their spend. Do they think a couple of crap adverts are going to do it? Obviously they are panicking…. thinking where are all the overseas punters…. we need to sign them up🤣 Sales 101…. look after your existing customers first, retain those.

Good on you for posting…. as I have always said the gallops rate of deaths is not good, far worse than Australia per % of races. Be interesting to see death rates of dogs racing in Australia…

I love horse racing…. but mainly Aus racing, why is that an issue, far easier to pick a winner Aus than NZ. I’m not the only one that thinks NZ racing is on a slide…. but good on you for turning a blind eye.

Thanks, yes my point exactly. As for jumping races, I have always looked them, one of the first times I went to Riccarton I remember Grey Warbler winning. So it’s not about me disliking jumping, it’s what is happening lately in these jumping races.. too many falling, maybe inexperienced riders, maybe dodgy tracks….. I was pointing out that once the anti racing types jump on it jumps racing will be gone. Some may say I’m dreaming, but 5 yrs ago nobody would have thought dog racing would be banned.

Anyone else get survey from TAB? Asking for views on promotions…. or lack of, I gave them my honest opinions🤣. Me thinks they should be worried, been told from those in the know, TAB figures show no gains since overseas punting stopped

Last jumping race at Te Aroha another disaster. If greyhound racing is cruel, fuck knows what you call jumping in NZ.

Well…. Don’t want to sound like Forbury, but his drive on Don Juan was poor, why on earth go back to the inside, real brain fade. Before that, a horse ended up with foot in another cart🫣, amazing anyone bet on these races, as surprisingly pools usually not bad… I think the reason, these amateur drivers have plenty of family and friends, who have no idea what will happen… so easily put a few bucks on anything…. and of course, the bet on red brigade…
