  1. I don’t care for all the bullshit stories, fact is it’s a banned substance.
  2. No doubt The Doctor will be chipping away at the Dunn’s, giving plenty of advice. Funny , that even with The Doctors courtlike speech, they still pleaded guilty? ?
  3. Apparently crowd went crazy, mud wresting, fights , drinking games. That’s what’s missing in nz racing
  4. Nasty reply to Reefton? You need to chill a bit, you are now on the premier racing site, so no need to put people down.
  5. Xmas At The Races. When this first started, I thought it would be a flop, I’ve changed my mind bigtime. I know many people who have had Xmas work functions, family or groups just meeting up, I have not heard anything negative from anybody. Would be great to see a jackpot run on it, just like the old days. If nobody picked it on the day, it would roll over to next Xmas meeting. I suppose the only thing holding something like this back, is the ageing jetbet system. If the nz tab offered an option that overseas agencies couldn’t, this would be a way of luring back punters on course. Start off with $100k, that would see a bit of interest, what do you think?
  6. Barry & Hesi need to team up & get a mouse circus going. Big money if they can train a few to do tricks?
  7. If the main tracks in nz were 100%, maybe closing down some of the country tracks may make sense. But some country tracks have far better racing conditions/ surfaces than main centres. It may make sense to an accountant to close some country tracks, but I think it will be a big mistake if it happens. I love the country tracks, main thing I look forward to over Xmas.
  8. Most of the blokes had boring suits on, but I suppose with royal protocol, they had too. Im no fashion guru, but I told family last night that I could make that gown easily on our old Bernina! Amazing what a bit of grog does to ones state.
  9. Pretty impressive cat bringing in 2 mice, if only the horses I back tried as hard. ?
  10. I see on Harnesslink that she was purchased for $220k recently? What were the owners thinking, surely she is worth more than that as a broadmare, even without racing? Why bother spending $220k at the sales, when you could have purchased her?
  11. Due to pressure from others in house last night, had to watch a bit of it. Poor old Victoria Beckham, face like a spanked arse, then the circus really sparked up when Michael Curry let loose with some god squad lingo. But it got me thinking, we need to have weddings on course. Not gonna get anyone real famous, but maybe LJM might want to tie the knot again, how many would turn up for that, especially if it’s a woman, would double the crowd to 30. Plenty of hot dogs & chips on course, bit of Chardonnay in a plastic glass, day would be mint. This is what we need, weddings on course.
  12. Good money all right.
  13. Sad to hear he passed away today after having health issues, aged 80. What a great line up of horses he raced.
  14. Yes, really knuckled down the last bit, didn’t think he would win 100m out. Was listening to trackside radio this arvo, some guy labelled Alta Orlando, also said his roughie was Bonnie highlander, think he also picked show gait. Pretty good picking, anyone else hear these tips, was wondering who it was that tipped them out.
  15. Listening to radio, prob not suited by slow pace early?
  16. Good picking, thought it was a win chance 600m out, had it easy in front but battled on ok.
  17. Only thing weasel, when he won last at ricc, it was a real bog. Not sure track will be as bad. But I do agree, good chance
  18. Totally agree. Seems a bloody good guy too.
  19. Good luck for next season Reefton,
  20. Maybe that’s why Paula Bennett had her puku stapled, and a heap of Botox epoxy, she needs a pay rise??
  21. What did you all think about speed duel race 5 tonight? Also, if you backed Sex On Fire, did you feel a little peeved you didn’t win? Seemed a lazy drive until late.
  22. Another surprise, Dunns appeal to be heard next week, they lodged an appeal against the level of the fine?? I would hardly think a fine of $7k each is to severe? If they lose appeal, will costs be added?
  23. Actually purchased whole set of racing annuals about 2 years ago. Still in garage, will have to get them out and have a read, Have read most of the harness annuals.
  24. Yep, I agree with Globe. Let’s all just concentrate on those bewdie harness horses, not many sleeps till the jewels!! Could be a big day for you Globe, wherever you finish.
