    Surely they could just take the main trackside feed live, at least that would let punters listen to the races, especially local meetings. Could have saved by just having it on certain hours, noon to 7pm or whatever, to close completely was bullshit. I for one do a heap of driving, certainly wont bet if i can not at least listen.

    Wow, this nag is going piss poor in Aus. I always thought it was overated here in NZ, but it is going crap over there. Wonder what it was sold for, makes you wonder.

    Out of all of the cutbacks the TAB have made, I think stopping Trackside Radio is the worst. To the many that listen to radios, and plenty do , thats crazy.

    Will be interesting to see how form holds up. I had a punt on Steve, R1. At $8 good value, huge first start. Hands Up Jack, R4 at $15, Prodigul Guiness R5 at $7 & Ghostwriter R6 at $6-50. Pretty sure will go close. Good luck

    Was in the Barrington Mall in Christchurch this week. Thought I would pop into the TAB, nope not open. Rung help desk to find when it was opening, was informed its closed for good? Is this correct, where is a main TAB in christchurch that you can withdraw now, and deposit back into card??? Christ, whats gonna happen melbourne cup, nz cup week etc??

    Think a guy called Craig Pierce did comments for many harness meetings. As he was a contractor, he was shown the door pretty quick. Hope my info is correct

    Looks like this is confirmed for later this year. Poor old NZ TAB is really gonna find it hard in the future. They should have let another operator take them over years ago, spread the resources.

    Nice. When you think of all the top mares of the 80s, Armalight, Bonnies Chance, Delightful Lady, Glen Moria, Idolmite, Hilarious Guest, plus a few others, none left anything of note. Think Delightful Lady could not leave foal from memory, she man?

    So if they stop nz punters betting with aussie operators, will other punters from overseas be banned betting with the nz tab??? If this was the case, they would be far worse off? NZ punters are betting less each year with nz racing & sport, if it wasnt overseas racing & events, they would be worse off. We all know they will never stop nz punters from betting overseas, easy to set up vpn for this, no biggie.

    Come on Rutherford, ya bloody dreaming. Tell me this, how has the TAB managed to struggle on through Covid, oh thats right, offer betting on OVERSEAS RACING & SPORT?? Punters are sick of nz racing, it was going backwards before covid, will continue to slide. NZ Tab should be happy that the rest of the world offer good racing, for nz punters to bet on, either in nz or overseas operators.

    Cambridge 34 meetings, Auck 36? Wow Lots of meetings Cambridge, shit front runners track, not good for punting on with mostly lower class racing. Auckland & Addington predictable nowadays, keep the lead until stablemate, brother, uncle or other relation comes around to plan race. Ashburton gets less meetings than Oamaru, Methven get more than motukarara?? FFS, strange.
