Wow, it is pretty depressing reading this thread. Boay was going well, until that punting 101 thread started, that is when it all went downhill. Funny how Curious jumped ship same time mardi left, they never really posted until the other one did? Barry gave out some longshots, which people followed, but really it was an agro post. Still, i have always said, you need a little nasty, fun, shock type postings on these sites for them to survive.

Huge win. If you look at both of those horses, each won races from hopeless positions when racing against the best. We have NO NZ horses that could ever do that sort of thing here, not for a long time. These sort of races get people to the races, following the sport.

Nothing i like in those earlier races for me. Thought Rakagem might go alright again R8, will get good run and could win again. Square Dealer you would have to include in the last. Only race I will be having a good go on is R9. Will be speed on in this race, a few with good draws will burn early. Brings Possente Cavallo and Hurricane Banner right into it. PC had no right to win 2 starts back, but huge run from back to win. Last start used up in front, which is not his go, watch for him late again with new trainer /driver. HB going good races without luck, could easily win. I will back them to win same amount back. I am very confident on these 2.

Good luck with him. Its a little hard to gauge last fridays run. Was a slushy track, didnt seem that happy, but still won. Will be interesting to see how the next few months go for the horse

Yeah, fair enough. I suppose he has to understand a horse is not like driving a car. As you say, when he pulled out, he had to wind the horse up around the turn, soto then tuck behind eventual winner, made no sense at all. Many a race has been won by drivers getting into the one one a lap or so out, but dont remember any other brain fades like this.

Wow, anyone have a punt on this today? I really liked it, but thought being junior drivers race, I would leave well alone. Well, when it took off before turn, i was amazed driver elected to follow parked horse half way up straight, cute drive, but not if you backed it. Ouch to all those that did.

Looks like TAB issue. Surprised nobody else has same issue with Ad appearing when confirming bet. Have tried 3 different iphone models, all have same issue. Maybe you old timers using laptop, or phone?

But FFS, racing in NZ is donkey racing, its crap. 4 or 5 hacks that have been racing for years on shit tracks, what do you expect. Come on, be honest, only a few races each month are worth getting a little excited about. Great that we have Aus racing. As for Felaar, i doubt it could win a decent race again. Even allowing for the disgraceful field in the NZ cup, its like its owner, a gonna.

Galah, I was not saying anything dodgy going on last friday. Was just saying that many were not giving their horses too hard a run, with todays meeting in mind. That fav in that first race had hard run fri, which is why i think silk is my bet of the day.
