globederby12 Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 Take that NZ. Outstanding run by Chicago Bull. Missed away, sat parked and bulldozed his way past Jack in the straight in quick time. Listening to the commentary he was given an ovation by the crowd on course. One serious racehorse and will make the Kiwis in the Cup very nervous. 1 1 Quote
Newmarket Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 Yep, could even be aussie trifecta in nz cup 1 Quote
globederby12 Posted October 26, 2018 Author Posted October 26, 2018 NZ record for 2200 was 2.43.4 by Awesome Ambro from a stand. The Bull has run 2.41 flat. Factor in it was his first ever that way round , having first start in a foreign country, first start from a stand and blowing the start it kinda puts it into to perspective, regardless of the class of opposition. Mind boggling. 1 Quote

Guest CrossCodes Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 That's terrible news. He would have been a huge draw card for the cup and at least made it a genuine race. Guess it is just one of those things that happens, but I hope it doesn't put any others thinking about coming over in the future. Quote
Rangatira Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 is this a common post race procedure in harness racing Quote
globederby12 Posted October 31, 2018 Author Posted October 31, 2018 Some questions need to be asked here regarding the drug administered. It is a very powerful anti inflammatory medication. 1-Was the horse in some sort of muscular discomfort, or is it a standard procedure across the Harness industry for recovery. 2- Had this particular medication ever been administered before to the horse without a problem.( I somehow doubt it) 3- Would it not have been prudent to follow previous medication regimes using the same generic drug. ( that of course does not cast aspersions on the vet) . Quote
