aquaman
Yes, i'm afraid the more the NZ TAB lose customers, the more they take out of the pools. This is their answer to declining turnover, just take more out of the pools. NZ is now at the stage where the takeout on quaddies is 26%, as compared to our cousins across the Tasman where its 22%. This is just one example.
Fred
Does not seem to affect Lotto where they deduct 55%

A betting pool that has 26% deducted from it pays less than the one that has 21% deducted.

Chief Stipe
Trainer says he doesn't need them anymore. Only wore them because in his first race he wouldn't take a gap. Training perfectly without them. Trialled beautifully last week without them. A class animal doesn't need them.
Thomass
It's very common to start off a campaign without Blinkers...if you're not that serious... ...Im betting the right...that as soon as he gets to Oz...they go back on... Hes lucky this week with the 2 drawn outside him are on pacers...and the one inside him is as well... He could get smashed in a pincer movement...although he's better out there than bottled up on the rails...without Blinkers So with cover probably...then hooked out..after spending nothing... ...to be greeted by the WIDE OPEN ex swamp...HQ straight...can't wait
Chief Stipe
Geez you write some crap. The trainer said - "he no longer needs them"... He'll probably go faster without them.
Thomass
Will they go back ON... ..when he starts acting like a drunken sailor up HQ's straight... ...with the Boys Wearing Plaid...shouting out him?
Chief Stipe
So you're an expert trainer now amongst everything else? I'm picking he will run kinder than he has.
Chief Stipe
Anyway back to the Topic. $1.10 is not good value. $1.75 would be. A couple of tidy fillies carrying 4kg's less but Catalyst should be far too good.
Thomass
Could do...the trial was good without them...even though the useless NZTR info...had them as ON... ...but it's about the pressure going on...and the lack of concentration that brings... ...especially in white hot Alligator country... Would he have flattened the outside horse in the G1 without them on... ...knowing Horses try to avoid contact? Most punters have less knowledge than bookies then multiplying their disadvantage over several reinvested races over the day the net takeout far exceeds 55%.
