The BGP don't seem to be restricted by the TAB

Obviously the BGP are not restricted.  The put $48k to win on Surprise Baby in the Melbourne Cup.

I guess the chap in Bishopdale who won $1.1m with a $30 first 4 is now restricted?  I thought there was a limit to how much you could win in  day?

I'm not 100% certain but I think the limit that is still in place is on multis

I think it was $250,000 but now has been increased to $500,000 on any multi bet

Haven't done any research, but this sticks in my mind as the case

The first 4 is not thru the Accountants/bookies so he is probably fine

BGP probably be losing punters so they be fine as well

It is the winning harness punters that are restricted to being able to get much on!

Problem with harness is the races are so predictable in some cases  but giving away money ain't profitable.

Agree with that Mikey but the TAB will take money off a punter that backs a horse and yet another punter who backs the same horse is restricted to small amounts.

The odds are always in the TABs favour and therefore should be encouraging punters and not the other way!

$110 000  down the toilet for the day wasn't it?

Nearly 50k on a horse to win in the Melbourne Cup is a bullshit bet when you have lost in all your other bets but it is easy with other people's money. No sane punter would do that with their own hard earned and they seem to be going for the big moment instead of punting responsibly.

After their other massive loss they need to pull their heads in.

HRNZ would do well to attract such a fine body of Young enthusiasts to attend harness races  other than Cup week .Once again TB boys on the money on a regular 

 I see BGP are attending NZ Greyhound Cup meet on Thursday. What does that say Happy
