crowd size

Great to see the crowds lining the fence like we have seen at westport, gore and previously the likes of geraldine. When you see that it does make you wonder why the likes of waimate and wyndham can't run an annual meeting on their home tracks. If the harness industry wants to only give minimal funding for training purposes to those type of tracks then fair enough, but  surely those clubs should be given an annual date if they have their own funds to support it?  Going by the public support we are seeing for those type of clubs then it just seems a bit of a no brainer.

A lot of no brainers making decisions, one thing I'm bemused about was the statement regarding Gore that it was something to do with no fibre optic cable or something yet it seems to work fine for the racing club, racing ain't dead and buried yet, this time of year shows that,Westport,Gore,Omakau, will carry on as always, just the same as Xmas.

Great time of year to get new people to the races, and hopefully they get hooked, and continue to go during the year as well!

Only thing is that you will need to be a losing punter or the TAB will stop you!

The NZ TAB have stooped to even lower levels with the amount you are able to win.

Time that the Racing Minister steps in and makes a fair minimum that is able to be won by punters from a single bet,  as $60 is just a farce!!!!!
