Want to be part of Saturday's Boys Get Paid Punters Club?

It is super easy - simply place a bet on the below market to purchase a share before 1:00pm on Saturday, 28 August to get involved.

Buy into the Boys Get Paid Punters Club here

You need to know:

  • Ignore the $1.001 odds when buying your Punters Club stake. Every $1 you bet on this option gives you $1 in the Punters Club. By way of example only, if you place a bet of $100 on the Punters Club betting option you will get a $100 share in the Boys Get Paid Punters Club syndicate.
  • You can follow along by checking back here for details of each bet, as well as a running pool balance. Bets will be placed on races between 1:00pm and 8:00pm on Saturday, 28 August.
  • Depending on the success of the bets placed as part of the Boys Get Paid Punters Club, a dividend will be declared at the completion of the day (around 8:00pm).
    • By way of example only, if the initial syndicate pool is $50,000 and $100,000 is the balance at the end of the day, you will receive $2 for every $1 you've invested. On the flip side, if there is only $10,000 at the end of the day, you will receive $0.20 for every $1 you've invested.
  • Please don't use Bonus Bets as these will not be eligible for a Punters Club payout.
  • See below for full Terms and Conditions.

A couple of questions for the punting experts out there:

    1. Why would you take two bets at the same time for widely different amounts?
    2. How do you get widely different Fixed Odds Win prices when bets placed at the same time?

Pretty sure the 2nd 11k was a Top 3 bet.

Things were pretty frantic at that stage so just a typo I think.

You have to laugh when you look at those bets.I guess its not their money,it would be like an imaginary game.

Good on the TAB for giving the losses back. Its a good PR decision. They are a business, and it will help the tab long term. Anyone participating in the BGP syndicate should realise that.

The TAB of course play the long game, and know the overall figures.

Sorry a "PR Decision" is presumably a marketing descison.  A good marketing decision must met economic value criteria be it short or long in term.

How is this decision going to add value?  Particularly when it isn't the first time that the BGP and Luke Kerney have been favoured financially by a substantial amount.

@the galah you seem to allow TAB NZ a free reign when managing what is effectively industry funding with the rationale "it is their business and they know what they are doing"!

Their "long game" hasn't been all that successful to date and has been reliant on non-wagering revenue.  As is the coming year.  Wouldn't that indicate that they DON'T know how to play the "long game"?

Well have been tinkering with my NZ Monopoly Board !!!  (if unfamiliar with the game, it is all about assembling wealth through investment in the better properties and Infrastructure)

The richer properties do well the poorer ones sadly don't get invested in as much ............ I'm re-naming some lol..

Sorry, but I do not follow the Boys Get  Paid stuff and never participated in it!

    However, what have I missed?

Has the NZ TAB gifted this betting outfit over $20K?????

If they have, then they are an absolute disgrace!!!!
They gift losing punters $ so that they can punt so much more??
And yet other genuine punters are not even allowed to place the bets that they want!!!!!

If this is true then the NZ TAB are far bigger DICKHEADS with their business plan than I thought!

Why is this BGP group get preferential treatment, however it does not surprise me as I have been on the end of  unpreferential treatment for many years!

    Disgusting!!

    Hope they do you!!!!

    Lol Yeah they did Ranga!

Not that I was advised of it Ranga, but without my knowledge I was given someone to look after me!

I am a highly valued customer apparently that they do not want betting with them!

    Go figure?

A very good idea. NZTAB are very kind.😇

When can we expect your to start moaning about All Stars /Cullen winning all the big races and it being unfair and not good for the dying sport of harness?

JJ, you being in the know, who is currently in charge of running the stable?

Unfortunately the sport is struggling on other sides already, so that is just another issue.

No idea- your the expert on that topic . So, when do you start moaning about AS/Cullen dominance of all the big races etc. Or have you got a new topic to moan about.?

Looking at the terms and conditions kindly posted above by The Chief you may be excluded.

To be fair Ranga, The Brodster doesnt need to be involved in a group that punts large amounts on GALLOPERS!

Surefire way to be a losing punter!

JJ, are you happy with everything in NZ at the moment?

Brodie is entitled to his opinion which as you will be well aware, is always on the money!

As for the AllStar stable being run, it is Mark and Natalie.

As for it affecting me personally, it doesnt!

As for affecting harness racing, yes it does majorly!

Then you wont be moaning about it from here on in? I think we all know that answer. Its not if but when and only applies to one stable. Cullen Racing
