curious
Yep. You can't ride those sort of races without the cattle. They'll say he stole it but they ran a tick faster than the guineas ... perfectly rated. Super ride indeed but a gutsy performance by the horse and in particular a superb effort by the training team as you say nomates.

Looked in good order albeit I noticed that after the race. There is a R75 1400m at Cromwell which has a nice smooth surface. Does he need only 1600m? Shad
No excuses for the opposition, started from the very wide barrier and found the front, don't see to many do that and win,, well done to Pam and the team, hope some of you got a piece of that big dividend.
Doomed
Bloody hell. Looking at the price I would guess Pam hasn't dressed for the occasion to throw them off again. The female Dummy. Very cunning. 2

You really need to think you have an even money chance to justify the expense of travelling one from Riccarton to Otago these days though and there are no suitable races in Canterbury till late January so at this stage he'll be retired after one more run.

Hope they'll be setting him for the Reefton bloody Cup! Forget the second rate events I could make quite a fuss over the battlers Pam and CWJ(and the poor old owner I suppose) in the President's speech They went perilously close to winning one there last time Edited November 14, 2022 by Reefton 1 2
Doomed
Looked like a Timaru Cup type to me. I have watched the replay and he was travelling all the way, never really looked like being headed.

He obviously took that seriously and went for him inside the 50!

He did exactly as I suggested....but politely said nothing to my ramblings because NZ's winningest jockey hardly needs my words of wisdom about how to ride. But to my query ' did you bring your magic wand ' grinned and said, yep.
nomates
I see one legit trainer on here this morning but quite a few trying to be in their racing suggestions for Light Up . And as expected the one legit trainer is not rushing into making a decision .

Well there's a chilly bin full of booze as a trophy and often the owners don't turn up so if he wins it and Mr Gardiner fails to show his face I guess it is Pam's(wouldn't be the first trainer to snaffle it with glee) 2

I think a guaranteed start would be a good inducement, it is a horse that has spent a lot of time on the ballot. Hopefully now Pam can plan a campaign with some hope of actually getting a start.

Doomed
I think the Timaru Cup, Reefton Cup double would be the way to go Pam. Don't think it has ever been done before. Just a suggestion.
Joe Bloggs
Is there not an amateur race for him to finish on? The owner could ride him and then off into the sunset, dine out on that. 1
