Wrong Michael.

Which Michael do you think I am talking about?  I presume not Pitty - he gave up on you site because of your unreasonable, irrational, incoherent and incessant attacks on him(and anyway Pitty is MRP not MJ O'B)

You might be right Doomed, or i could be from the not so deep south, which part of nz are you, I suspect somewhere in the lower Noth Island.

Reefton showed how mixed up he was when he mentioned the heavy wallet lol.

I dare say it will be heavy enough Michael!

Pitty got the pip when it was pointed out that given his status and involvement in Canterbury Racing he had some part in the downward spiral of the Riccarton track and facilities.  The response was irrational.

As for Michael O'Brien the king of the pokie rort he too should take some credit for the dependency that was created on those blasted machines.  But O'Brien doesn't hide his identity.

Shows how much you know about the way things operate at South Island headquarters.

I just cannot understand how you don't step up the plate and put yourself forward to take on a major role in NZ Racing.  Apparently you have all the answers.

Really?  You're the one telling me I know nothing about how things work at the southern headquarters.  I'm genuinely interested to know how it works especially if the leading stakeholders have no influence.

Well anytime anyone says anything you are always either disputing what they say or blaming them for whatever disaster has befallen them.  Clearly you have all the knowledge and all the answers hence me querying why you want me to tell you how Riccarton or the NZ racing industry operates.

However....

I just see on Facebook Riccarton has appointed a bloke Zane Tate as 'Fashion  Coordinator'.  My initial reaction was the boys are exactly one month late with this breaking news but I am concerned this might actually be true.  How the hell has the CJC got any business spending Industry money on a 'Fashion Coordinator'?

A cross between Millsey and a Cockatiel. Do you still have the Board's backing, Millsey?

Actually I don't however I do point out that most of the blame for where the industry is lies at the feet of those who have benefited most from it.  I don't point the finger at some mythical cartel or blame the track manager.  You may as well blame Trump for everything.

You get upset when I point the finger at those that have the most power locally at Riccarton.  Mills and Pitman.

I don't believe that the largest trainer and beneficiary over the years of the Riccarton facility has had no input into where we find it at now.  You would have us all believe otherwise.

For goodness sake!!  The fashion shit should be left as a side show.  Don't get me wrong, I am all for glamming up the event and don't mind getting dressed up now and again but, money cannot be used on all of this rubbish instead of keeping the course proper in pristine condition.

This club has lost the plot!!

Don't talk utter piffle.

It is well known that there is only one trainer who gets listened to at Riccarton and they only spend part of the year there.  There is even a tongue in cheek name for the grass track they used before  it was actually allowed to be used the '## #### grass'.

There might be another who is in the management's good books but MR Pitman is neither of them and never has been.  Most of the rest of them, if they were truly honest would be scathing of the CJC regime.

Actually the Riccarton Trainers are all going to be expected to up their games at Trackwork now the Fashion Coordinator is in place.  Freda for instance will be required to put on her best mocka and face paint for attendance of a morning as far as the blokes go it will be like the good old days when the trainers turned up in collar and tie of a morning.

Add a little decorum to the outfit I say!

Cant think of what the hell else this person is going to do

I was astounded when I saw the announcement..and even more astounded when I saw the list of congratulatory comments.

I thought someone was taking the piss when I first read about it, not being a fb user, but obviously it is true.

To give them credit though, the CJC have obviously accepted that they aren't very good at boosting stakes, running imaginative programmes, attracting the public, providing a decent racing surface, pulling down old public grandstands etc, so they have decided to set themselves a small, achievable target that might be achievable So good on them, I hope it goes well.

You will certainly be able to spot the Riccarton trainers when they turn up at Reefton. The northern lot might have to up their game a bit.

I was going to suggest we can probably expect high fashion gumboots at Riccarton this Saturday, but surely the track is back to Good by now.

So Pitty @Pitman in all his time at Riccarton and participating on Local Programming Committees and other National Organisation bodies has had ZERO influence or say in what happens at Riccarton or the CJC?  Even when having by far the most number of horses in work in Canterbury?

Yet you lead us to believe that the big bad bogey of NZ Racing Te Akau has had more influence even though in your own words they are only part-time resident there?
