    • So if only 2% of their customers generate a profit, the TaB thinks that is too high? So we will only allow those that lose to wager with us? So we get rid of the successful punters and that is ethically ok? No one that bets with us is to win, we make it difficult for winning punters and encourage the 98% losing ones!

    • Thats roughly 80-90 million left over after all debt repaid.Heck they could even put some in the bank if they wanted after relocating. when they do relocate,it should be to somewhere where the racetrack and the training complex are one and the same. Imagine that. No transport costs for the owners whose trainers are based at the new racetrack.
    • Absolute rubbish........ 50 years ago my neighbour's horse won NZ Horse Of Year  , twice from memory and there have been at least 20 Awards given out annually in NZ for a variety of things at an Annual function.  The list is added to from time to time when recognition deserved. There was an Award for strapper of the year from at least 10 years back and it now called Stable Hand of the Year. Then for the X -Factor participants there is the 'Hall Of Fame' . For younger folk there are a number of Awards including Sunline Trust Scholarships etc among others. The Breeders also have awards ...in fact all aspects of racing/equine have had Awards ,rankings and various forms of recognition etc . Entain obviously decided to increase the publicity around them and add some Financial awards to some of them. Harness Racing also has a heap of Awards , in fact I personally was 'Owner of Month' one month back in the day ...no function but a trophy ! Some clubs still have Horse of Year , Performance of night etc with a small reward . Always much appreciated and well received !
    • oh,i think we all realise that to go somewhere else ,they would have to have something like a 5 year plan to ensure continuity of enabling racing and training to continue before a new complex opened.
