    But you're more likely to get a champion if you breed with champions. Eight Carat may have been slow on the track but she was quite well bred and nicked with Sir Tristram and Zabeel. Her dynasty is immense and still influential.

    Don't you think that Thoroughbred racing is getting disproportionately more funding than the other codes? I'm not knocking Entain although I can't see where the money is coming from for them to make anywhere near a profit. You can't keep buying revenue. My opinions of Mckenzie have been posted many times and none of them were favourable.

    Eight Carat produced a dynasty of flukes. The majority of champion performers are well bred. There are exceptions but I don't know anyone who specialises in breeding duds by duds from duds.

    You should excuse the cynicism amongst many who have seen this all before. Remember the 10 x $1m races? Remember the TAB bailout? But what is being done to address the fundamental issues? Three AWT tracks that no one wants and a Strathayr at Ellerslie. Meanwhile every other main track is stuffed. I'd rather have a surface that provided fair racing and was safe for my horses than more novelty races.

    Prove it. Regardless what does my credibility have with anyone wanting to post their opinions on BOAY? You don't need any credibility to post here. What's more you can fire as much abuse the way of the forums convenor and you're still allowed to post. Try that on the other channel. Just this week I heard from someone wanting to come back here because they were sick and tired of being moderated for daring to criticise the opinions of the head dog. As for Noodlum - prove it!
