  1. Hasn't Godber been sidelined or put through the Koru Lounge?
  2. That's a Barry Lichter headline. Suggest you have a look at the accounts. From what I can see everything is heading in the right direction.
  3. Last few hours of voting in black out mode. Elephant sitting on 9th but really close Get your vote in for Elephant. Probabeel seems to have made it through.
  4. My apologies.....the commentator made a quip about the horse named Donald Trump Don't you guys know by now that you don't give our @Brodie a sniff of a gap? He'll be through it before you have had time to blink.
  5. What's this got to do with the Invercargill Commentator? Does he have Orange hair?
  6. Come on you can name plenty of them. Note it wasn't me that used the term bread and butter sire in the case of Roc De Cambes. What do you term a B & B sire? One that is comparatively cheap and produces heaps of winnners across average mares. Zed comes to mind. Per Incanto - started out cheap not so much now. Roc de Cambes served 14 mares in 2020, 34 - 2019, 45 - 2018 (Princess Lowry year). From the 2018 crop only 12 have hit the racetrack. Doesn't the market give a good idea of his success?
  7. Stallion Syndrome. Physical and/or mental.
  8. Can't see you logic or join the dots. Auckland Trotting Club are still holding race meetings, returned a good profit last season and are trying new innovations. So ATC is hardly "on its knees". Remind me again when was the last time you said anything positive about a harness meeting in NZ.
  9. No I was defending his right to a fair hearing rather than trial by social media. I also made the point that if HRNZ and NZTR had proper systems in place then it would be impossible to oversell shares in a horse. It isn't the first time and unless they put systems in place it won't be the last time this rort occurs. He was done for fraud. Documents were exchanged via electronic and paper means and loss of property occurred. That's considered mail (wire) fraud in the USA. BTW has he been charged by the Police yet? Regardless what does it have to do with alleged EPO use?
  10. Well it didn't escalate the first time it was published on Social Media over TWO years ago. What's different this time?
  11. But those two G1 winners weren't spectacular. Vin De Dance for one. Plenty of bread and butter stallions produced more Stakes winners and better performers.
  12. If you had multied those you would have made $205/1.
  13. But the other night it showed zero gate speed and then pulled back to the rear.
  14. Ok there is a good reason for the "staggering" performance improvement? Who would've thought?!
  15. Geez Brodie if you weren't being so anti you would have picked up that Magic Four $100 value!
  16. Probably haven't had a chance to sit down in the bunker and rewatch the HD vision.
  17. That's what I saw in the Trial at Rosehill. She got locked away didn't lose her cool and when the gap came she grabbed it. Much the same as today.
  18. Seriously though in all his years at stud what has Roc De Cambes produced? One ordinary NZ Derby winner and a Toorak winner in OZ. I was convinced he wouldn't be much good as a sire when a poster called Fasthorse (I think) a part-time trainer of murders was buying his yearlings.
  19. I didn't know that it was only $7k for second. He is just $333 short.
  20. PRINCESS LOWRY (L Satherley) - Raced keenly when being restrained in the early to middle stages. Was eased down by its rider from near the 500 metres. Underwent a post-race veterinary inspection which found the filly to be 3/5 lame in the right foreleg. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to racing next.
  21. Sundee's Son runs second in the Lone Star Alexandra Park Lyell Creek Stakes FFA! Takes his Stakes Earnings to over $999,667!!! $333 short of the $1m Club!
  22. Sunny set to join millionaires' club 12 February 2022 , News by Dave Di Somma, Harness News Desk At 8 o’clock tonight New Zealand could have its newest millionaire – and it’s got nothing to go with Lotto. Trotting sensation Sundees Son fronts up as the hottest of favourites in the appropriately named Lyell Creek Stakes to kick off the first ever Harness Million meeting at Alexandra Park. With earnings currently standing at $991,917, the seven-year-old Majestic Son gelding is on the verge of cracking seven figures. But he will have to win the race and the $27,500 in stakes to do it. Second place is worth $7750 and that would take him to $999,667. The winner of 27 races (from 60 starts) has been in dominant form of late and has drawn handily at four in a eight-horse field over 2200 metres. In early markets he was a very short priced favourite ($1.30). If Sundees Son joins the millionaires’ club he will be just the 11th to do so. Leading the list by the length of the straight is Lyell Creek with $2,961,137. The globe-trotting sensation had 56 wins between 1998 and 2005. Other millionaires include Sundon’s Gift ($1,460,561), I Can Doosit ($1,445,774), Speeding Spur ($1,304,992), Take A Moment ($1,164,356), Stent ($1,156,750), One Over Kenny ($1,098,007), Keystone Del ($1,088,449), Tornado Valley ($1,031,977) and Vulcan ($1,025,892). One remarkable feature of Sundees Son’s career is that he has won all his races (and money) in New Zealand. That is certainty a rarity among the very best horses these days. Harness Racing New Zealand statistics show that the only horse (so far) to have earned more than a million on home soil was I Can Doosit with $1,139,694. Even Lyell Creek only earned $684,083 at home. The Group Two Lone Star Lyell Creek Stakes is scheduled to go at Alexandra Park tonight at 7.51pm.
  23. Perhaps. Must be tough but a good problem to have for Waller - placing horses for the best advantage of their owners!
  24. Eh? I thought they way she finished off her last campaign was top class. 3 length win in the Carbine G3. Plus her trial against Wild Ruler, Nature Strip, Mounga, Espiona looked quite good as she got held up and finished on really well late.
