  1. Rule Number(s): 638(1)(d)Following the running of Race 3, an Information was filed by Stipendiary Steward, Mr M Davidson, against Class B rider, Mr M Hashizume, in that he permitted his mount, OWEN PATRICK, to shift outwards near the 500m crowding WHO DARES WINS onto PINUP COUP with WHO DARES WINS being checked. 2. Rule Number(s): Rule 869(A)(2)This is a protest instigated by Stipendiary Steward Mr J Muirhead following the running of Race 2. The Information alleged that 'TO SIR WITH LOVE (A Harrison) broke entering the first turn checking MAJOR BLINK (Mr J Robinson) which lost approx 4-5 lengths minimum'. The Judge's placings and margins were: ... (Feed generated with FetchRSS)View the full article
  3. You're wrong - a rubber band made all the difference - quote Thomaas.
  4. Keep back tracking Thomaas! You promote yourself as the ace punter that relies on this information (gear changes) for your blueprint however you "forgot" the in's and out's of horse's information returning from Australia. Tell the truth - on a Monday morning you trawl the results looking for results to support your fraudulent "Blueprint" theories. Then you flood us with all this supporting information AFTER the fact. Even when the information is wrong. NUP assuming you still have hair on your head I'd wipe your face on it - egg is a good conditioner and it is dripping off you in spades.
  5. Didn't seem to worry Alabama Express at the weekend did it? Or does being a "three yr old after Christmas" nullify the "hard run 3 wide without cover"?
  6. Everyone has known that for years you fraud. There is an amount of information NOT shared between jurisdictions and that has been the case for years. That's why some of us do our homework. The only thing stopping more egg on your face is you didn't tell us BEFORE the race he had a Tongue Tie on for the first time.
  7. Well you fell into that trap didn't you. You've proven once again you have no idea! He wore a tongue tie in the Cox Plate. So Saturday WASN'T THE FIRST TIME! The first time in a race was his first start in Australia. You are a fraud.

  9. So why didn't he do it before the Cox Plate? Of course the comparative quality of the field didn't have anything to do with the win. In that respect the race would barely list as a Grp 3 in OZ. The Shark seems to race a lot better since the BLINKERS were REMOVED. At a similar time in his career as Catalyst.

  11. No it will probably be the Te Akau Auckland Cup. Get over yourself. Did you know for example that the registered name of the Herbie Dyke is not the Herbie Dyke Stakes? Times change. Arguably the Herbie Dyke Stakes today as a Grp 1 doesn't compare in quality to the majority of the past runnings of the race. As for being "alone" the only people who will care are those like yourself that wallow in the bygone days of nostalgia e.g. you and Berrifruit. Berri thinks it will impact stud books and sales catalogues! Get real! The biggest threat is the downgrading of our Grp racing not their names! Geez we now have the New Zealand Campus of Innovation and Sport Wellington Cup! What a mouthful that is! Hasn't stopped the race from being downgraded from Grp 1 to Grp 2 in 2009, Grp 2 to Grp 3 in 2017. It will be lucky to be a Listed race in 4 years!
  12. Legends Day 2020, sees the prominent raceday turn into a family affair with the three key races sponsored by ardent supporters of the Waikato Racing Club. The Dyke family have long been associated with New Zealand Richest Weight For Age, the $400,000 Herbie Dyke Sprint. Herbie was a past president and his influence on the Club has left a lasting legacy.Joining the Dyke Family on February 8th is Joan Egan, who’s boutique nursery Legacy Lodge will take the naming rights to the Group 2 Waikato Guineas and the Ellis family. Joan Egan has been associated with the Legacy Lodge Sprint held in November since 2013 and has proudly extended her sponsorship portfolio to include the Group 2 Waikato Guineas from 2020.David and Karyn Ellis have also increased their already significant support of the Club to take on the sponsorship of the Group 2 Fillies Classic as their own legacy race. When the prestigious race came up they jumped at the opportunity to support a Club that they have both given so much too. David being a member for over 30 years, a past Board Member and Chairman. Karyn currently holds the Chairmans position. Between the pair they have given nearly 35 years of administration service to the Waikato Racing Club.Karyn commented "it gives us both extraordinary pleasure to become the long-term sponsors of this iconic fillies' race. The Waikato Racing Club is a pivotal part of the vibrant Waikato racing scene and has a bright future ahead. This Group 2 fillies' race has always attracted Group 1 class fields and we are proud to be associated with it. It is a key player in the NZB Filly of the Year Series, such as racing and the Club itself have been a key part of both our lives. It was our strong wish to continue to support the Club long after our time on the Board has concluded.Always one to recognise the team that goes in to preparing these horses at the highest level, David and Karyn will gift the winning strapper $500 in lieu of a dress rug.

  15. No one "rode roughshod" over anyone. Did you stop to think why Cambridge Stud didn't sponsor the race this year? From all accounts they chose not to. Given the rough year they have had I wouldn't be surprised that they are rethinking their whole marketing plan. It seems the Ellis's stepped up to the party and offered to sponsor the race and from what I've been told there was no "quid pro quo." With regard to the name change there are many examples where this has happened. Indeed the race in question had undergone name changes over the years. Can you remember what it was called before it was the Sir Tristram Fillies Classic? I know it then became the Cambridge Stud Sir Tristram Fillies Classic presumably because from a marketing perspective the addition of Cambridge Stud to the title had more relevance than just Sir Tristram. As for other examples the Bonecrusher Stakes was originally the Air New Zealand Stakes before becoming the New Zealand Stakes then the Mitchell's sponsorship kicked in. In Australia - the H.E. Tancred Stakes first run in 1963 became the BMW International Stakes, then The BMW Stakes, then the Mercedes then back to just the plain The BMW and now the Kia Tancred. The Hotham Stakes - 1869–1978 - Hotham Handicap 1979–1993 - The Dalgety 1994–1995 - Crown Quality 1996 - Ten News Stakes 1997 - Lean Cuisine Quality 1998–2008 - Saab Quality 2009–2018 - Lexus Stakes 2019 - Lexus Hotham Stakes The George Adams 1881–1918 - Coburg Stakes 1919–1961 - Cantala Stakes 1962–1984 - George Adams Handicap 1985–1988 - Ampol Stakes 1989–1992 - Honda Stakes 1993–1995 - Nissan Stakes 1996–1997 - Chrysler Stakes 1998–2015 - Emirates Stakes 2016 - Cantala Stakes 2017–2018 - Kennedy Mile 2019 - Kennedy Cantala The Mackinnon - 1869–1936 - Melbourne Stakes In 1937 the VRC moved the Melbourne Stakes to earlier in the spring, running it in September, over a shorter distance of 1 mile (1.6 km). The race was the predecessor to the Turnbull Stakes. 1937–2015 - LKS Mackinnon Stakes 2016–2017 - Emirates Stakes 2018 - Seppelt Mackinnon Stakes The Warwick Stakes became the Winx Stakes. So on and so on. The registered name won't change but good luck to those who cough up the dosh for sponsorship. They deserve a pat on the back not angst and unfounded aspersions.
  16. Rule Number(s): 642(1)Following the running of race 4, an Information was filed Instigating a Protest pursuant to Rule 642(1). 17. Molloy outed himself. Ask yourself WHY?
  18. You are making a fuss. The law is the law. Both the crim and Molloy chose to break it. One has life on prison the other will get a fine and crow about it forever.
  19. Molloy owned the site. However at the end of the day site owner is not culpable for what is posted if they respond within 24 hours. However it would be interesting to see the correspondence between the police and the site owner.
  20. What they forget is racing is a sport. Everyone has different opinions and we love arguing about it. Sadly the focus is on marketing NOT debate and promotion. Compare Weigh In to the rugby shows. They are still all in. FFS can you see the Jeremy Coney equivalent in racing giving NZTR a serve?!
  21. I disagree. He is what he is. Yes he lives for the attention but many do in today's society. He is what he is and I've never had a problem with it except when he got personal and nasty. The problem I have is when people defend his actions or go on bended knee.
  22. FFS Huey he had name suppression too but it didn't stop him telling everyone who wanted to hear it was him. He knowingly committed the offense on social media FFS. He's wallowing in the publicity! Hardly being dragged anywhere.
  23. LOL yeah Leo's lawyer would put in a challenge if I was on just service. No doubt with a QC on board they will be grandstanding on legal precedent. The Police will be looking for legal clarification on untested law. Wouldn't be surprised if the defence is being funded by undisclosed parties.
  24. There's a process and there is the law. No one should be beyond either. Name suppression is given for good reasons sometimes even if the law isn't always right. If ones ego is such that they break the law for no other reason than self promotion and to be seen to be "in the know" then they deserve what they get. It wasn't as if the crim was still on the streets.
