Stipes would make the worst punters.... AWAYOVERNIGHT - driver R Payne advised the removable gear was not activated due to the horse being inclined to lay outwards over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer G Payne advised the horse had been unlucky in its first run back this campaign and although only finishing midfield at its previous start, had not disappointed him. Mr Payne added that AWAYOVERNIGHT had also benefited from an economical trip today and he was not surprised by its performance. Driver R Payne had his horseman's licence suspended from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 28 December 2018 (4 days) for using his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations.

Blessed are you.

You certainly do live in their heads, Brodie. Not sure Flag is right when he says rent free. I think you own them and the whole site to be honest. Have they offered you Life Membership yet? Free entry into their competitions? Newmarket RC is a basket case. Drumming up topics by coming over here and so blatantly copying and pasting topics from this site. How sad is that. FTM disappoints after his initial post of civility. He should know better. Their very own Newmarket comes over and makes a silly mistake by copying Brodie's post and they know it with their first reaction but then rally around the fool because they have to. He also claims that 'we' bit. Laughable. That boat sailed last time and is way out to sea so you can forget that. Not much going on over there I see but he goes on about 'conspiracy theorists' about Smokin By. Must have read Booby Bec's post on here as nothing is mentioned about on RC so even FTM is copying BOAY. As for Lee and Scooby, judging by their posts, they wouldn't have a tiny dick between them. At least Iraklis has got enough common sense to realise the stupidity of the original post and stay out of the embarrassment it caused.

Pretty impressive. Wonder if she will be off overseas too. Times are really quickening now. To think breaking 3 minutes for 2400 was something special not too long ago.

Wrong on both counts ?

Boomer Bailey : A Tough as Old Boots Legend
Happy Sunrise replied to Happy Sunrise's topic in Trotting Chat
Well said, CP. Boomer and RHP are larger than life racehorses who bring colour to proceedings just by the way they race and that is rare indeed in this day and age. Hence the Legend status in my book for both of them. -
While on course today I heard that Boomer Bailey unexpectedly died. Then his great mate Red Hot Poker came out and won which is a bit eerie. Those 2 horses give you value for money every time they step out so a punter or owner could not want anymore. Feel sorry for Graeme Telfer as Boomer must be like family. He must be shattered so condolences to him. A bit similar to Nora Bishop losing her 'buddy' in the crash awhile back. Anybody who thinks horses are just commodities should think again.

Rangiora was Riccarton for a few bets today and lost a packet but not my marbles. I can't wait for this Christmas period of racing though. Bring it on Mr TAB ?

Yeah. Interesting decision to come out of the trail. He probably didn't know how well Matthew's horse was going behind him but the result changed with the decision to come out of the trail. Probably nothing in it, Be interesting to see what the stipes say and there will be an explanation ready at hand no doubt. To any punter on Smokin By, it looks dodgy. I wonder if Please Shuddup was the centre of a big bet? Highly doubtful but is this where they start an enquiry? Or is this just because they are brothers that it 'must' be something more?

You make a killing? I thought I was in with a chance with Prince Teka until the gaps never came. Then, Canstar broke from the stand....I hate these punting days...

Dear Don Givatoss, As a valued customer I thank you for your careful consideration of my proposal. Having 4 cardboard cut outs of him at those distances is truly visionary. It will double the crowd size at meetings and I am sure it will stop any race fixing or shenanigans as the cut outs will serve as extra pairs of eyes and ears for the RIU. Plus, between the races, people will be able to take photographs with Mr Guerin which will be fantastic souvenirs. Due to their popularity however, I would strongly suggest several security guards employed around each otherwise they will be stolen and on sold on Trade Me for vast profit. Your inspirational idea will surely drive turnover up as you have convinced me to invest my hard earned money on your product. I will be writing to the Head of the TAB telling them to give you a big bonus and a promotion. Thank you again for taking care me as your loyal customer. Regards, A. Punter.

True. Speed wise very fast. In terms of spectacle not much. Seems to be a developing trend to just run at a quick tempo in front and see if the others can catch you. The ability to settle near the front is everything these days as, as you say, its suicide to do anything else.

Tornado Valley is the champ. Hard to believe considering I remembering him run 3rd at Oamaru in January. Speeding Spur was disappointing. Should have run 2nd with the run and not being able to even challenge the winner shows he is slightly off the best...harsh? Monty would have been better on the back of the winner and 3rd or 4th was his lot considering he was 3 back on the inside and only one horse moved during the running. Tame race. Seems par for the course.

3 succinct sentences outlining 3 reasons why it is a farce. If they can't clarify and feel the need to shut down clarification you know they are running scared...

No Stompem? Thought you had a hankering for him too. Could be a good draw for Cullenmore. Overarm and Mr Midnight are my two in Race 10.

Hello, Mr TAB. I notice at Melton (and elsewhere) they have 200m, 100m, 50m and the finishing line with digital white stripes across the track to show them. Given some of the awful angles we have at NZ harness tracks could we bring this technology here please. It might improve your product. A. Punter.

Good luck Globe. -
You seem to have a very intimate knowledge of the people involved but I am not sure you are just stating facts.
-
I agree, Brodie. He is drinking because he knows Spankem will win. ?
-
My guess is the White House

Prince Teka in race 1 at 46FF and 10.50FF Tidy field but he shouldn't be at that price
