  1. Does this happen often??
  2. Did Olivia Thornley just stop Freddiesam at 1.55ff?
  3. I believe there are some informative chapters in the book but just needs an addendum on how to beat restrictions and the clutches of the TAB.
  4. One wouldn't need a big wager at that price globe. Nice.
  5. Even Oscar Bonavena breaks with Mark Purdon in the cart. This was a first starter at Kaikoura in front of the crowd. That is why I am surprised Madam Sass got around without fault.
  6. It broke.
  7. Thomass, As a harness punter, can you steer me into something backable for the Melbourne Cup please. Thanks.
  8. Ran a great race! Potion was perfect.
  9. The TAB will throw you a life jacket . They are there for there for the punters after all!
  10. As long as you don't go with it there is no real problem.
  11. You are right. She could see the blue sea and head for it.
  12. It is getting close but the lack of excitement and interest is stark. No one seems to give the Flying Stakes or any lead up races any attention. Are we All Starred out? So who is your pick? I am going for Chase Auckland from the unruly over 3200m. Tim Williams to shut down all the doubters. It will be his greatest moment and will provide something different from the usual interview with Mark or Natalie after the race. I expect John Dunn to go nuts on Classie Brigade and get the drunken youngsters in the crowd excited before they coma themselves later in the hot sun. 9 for Chase but the place divvy will be even better value.
  13. You would think so. Go large Flag. Smash it!
  14. But they really need to get those camper vans back from the track as you can't even see the horses. Pet hate.
  15. This won't please Westview but what are the odds of Madam Sass getting round a track like Kaikoura? You would have to have inside knowledge to back it today at 5ffs.
  16. See they put Blair O on to sharpen things up. I was waiting to see what the odds were for him and was promptly dismayed by the 4.50ff on offer. He looks ok, especially at the trials and one of his runs but has never started from a stand. They seem to love Southerly Change but I am a fan of the Hope barn at the moment. Doctor Tim in the first is my tip. Easiest field he has faced in awhile. Only danger is Rake off the front. Doctor Tim is short at mid 4s but will start a few of my multis. Tomorrow, I am going against the grain of my usual punting and taking the All Stars shorties in the minor races. They add up to a nice figure so why not.... Short odds offered. They are not letting him slip through. He is an up and comer for sure. I always feel like jumping in the sea when I watch Kaikoura so I would substitute gems for crayfish.....of which I have none for either day as the All Stars are on deck and the fields are small.
  17. How are those happy pills going? You must be gutted England lost.
  18. Why is that?
  19. After watching the video and reading the stipe's report you couldn't but it is all explained away by the vet check. After watching its Tuesday run I have no idea how Mitchell would think it would 'win' on Thursday driving it so aggressively like that. Caveat: If you are an amateur driver you would have been questioned and suspended for reducing your horses chances. The race was gifted to Mucho Macho Man but proving it was team driving is another matter. The explanation for Burst Out Laughing drifting wide on the track which allowed the stablemate MMM to run through on its inside is feasible but the whole thing was not a good look. They can't prove anything, and remember INCA is continuing, I reckon they don't want to even look for the possibility. Plus, I am always a touch dismayed by the faith people put in the stipes. How many genuine inquiries are there these days that aren't related to horses breaking or getting a fair start? Fair call and you are right, the faith is misplaced.
  20. She is back with Brodie. Hence, his disappearance.
  21. A very good idea to have this meeting. I really like Gotta Party Doll at 3.30ff. Rocketed home to get second to Where's Daddy at Methven last time. Hereslookingatyou seems like a handy type for Purdon and Dalgety going by its trial form so is very warm favourite which puts me off the 10ff for Gotta Party Doll but a win wouldn't surprise me. My bolter is Melt Down at 26ff. Can run a good race on the grass.
  22. Hide that sandwedge or the Iranians might mistake you for Donald from a distance...
  23. The horse was 3/4 of a length out of position at the start which is nothing in comparison to many a trotter who are interfered in the score up. To even suggest it should be a false start is silly and even sillier to suggest it should be a late scratching when it is compared to other races where horses are so much more inconvenienced. Is it because it is a Purdon horse it gets special attention. I say well done to the stipes and the JCA because if you are going to be rubbish at something at least be consistently rubbish.
  24. How do they achieve the stakes?
