$1k limit for betting and collecting- What issues?

Phone line is dead....paranoia is strong in the chosen one. -
I don't know where to start with this one. , .....Balraj, the victim of a bizarre drive in Central Otago when raging hot favourite, is now a buzz horse in Oz. ....1.49.1, seems like a stroll in the park for some of these horses that go over there. I reckon I might break 2 minutes if I started running now on those fast tracks. ....NZ horses just seem so superior to Aussie ones overall. Balraj sparkles again 8 August 2019 , News By Adam Hamilton BALRAJ crossed the ditch without much fanfare, but it hasn’t taken long for him to become one off the buzz horses of Australia. The lightly-raced Art Major three-year-old is unbeaten in four Aussie starts and made one heck of a statement scoring at his first Menangle run yesterday (Tuesday). Balraj won by 22.4m, but it was his time which did most of the talking. The gelding’s 1min49.1sec mile was an Australasian record for a three-year-old, slicing 0.5sec off Muscle Factory’s record. Just as he did winning by what seemed the length of the home straight at Newcastle a few weeks ago, driver Robbie Morris crushed his rivals with a 26.1sec split from the 800-400m. It’s the second time in as many starts the Shaun Simiana-trained pacer has smashed a record. His 1min50.9sec mile win at Newcastle two starts back on July 15 was an all-aged record for the track which has hosted some off the sport’s greats in the Newcastle Mile. Balraj raced just five times in NZ for trainer Steven McRae, missing a place in first three runs then showing a glimpse of his potential winning back-to-back Forbury Park races on February 21 and March 7. He was sold to Australia soon after and won his Aussie debut at Penrith by 7.1m on June 6. Since then he’s won by 25.7m at Newcastle on June 14, 55.9m again at Newcastle on July 15 and now Menangle by 22.4m

Ya back! ?

and...this proposal seems to make a mockery of the Box Seat series which claimed spinning was totally legit and there was no need for any action at all. I am not an expert or have any real knowledge but it is still clear someone in power thinks it is worth reining in....literally it seems.

You must be good unless a holiday to you is a tent in the local camping ground ? Golf betting is fickle. I could not imagine doing it to make money but it is fun for me.

I went on RC to have a look at the herd come together and round on dissenters. Funny thing is, JJ Flash (who I thought was blocking me cos he has no respect for me) copied my screenshot from BOAY to use on RC. Unless I am JJ Flash ?? which means I am Newmarket RC, which means I am FTM, which means I am God, and friends with Scoobieloo and the Narc. Happy Days ?

I would have expected a man of your talents would have been good enough to get an edge to it.
-
If you are up that much you must be happy? Why hasn't it excited you?
-
How did you finish up? Did a top 5 or 10 result get you something back?
-
Listening to the aussie twang you probably thought it was 11pm on a Saturday night watching a race from the back blocks in Australia so your mind started to drift off.

I was warned by Rusty too.

No Methven! Seems like a more accessible competition for people though. Bonus the final is at Addington and not the gallops which is a minor advantage. I tire of ground hog day scenarios so those in leadership need to do something. Isn’t leadership fixing the problems at ground level too so confidence is instilled in your product? Which one is the easiest to fix for some of harness racing’s fixable problems? 1. Standing Starts – Stop the walking starts and running starts – Simply make them stand before the tapes are released. 2. Whip Rule – It is a just a PR exercise at the moment – Simply disqualify the horse to last place if the rule is broken. 3. The ratings system – So you start at 50 and win your first race and its all over for awhile for most horses as you are now up against multiple win horses – No penalty for a horse who wins in their first 3 starts (?) 4. Black Type at 2 minutes - Shartin does 1.46.4 and (even) southern horses motor around Wyndham etc way under 2 minute mile rates for middle distance races. – Reset the black type to 1.55 from now. There, Done.

I agree. Someone to listen to I think.

Could have got off, should have got off....alas.

His first call was very good, especially considering there only a few in it. And John Versteeg drives a winner! Its all happening!

It seems from the price movements Arden Roanoke and King of Heroes (as Nowornever pointed out in other thread) are going to win. Kind of like, First Son, in the last, drawn 1 behind Alexy on the second line and paying FF9.50 Could get a softish run so each way bet for me. I want to back Isla's Joy for the place in Race 5 at FF3.10 (probably be higher tote) but I am sitting here resisting the urge because I know it is the wrong thing to do lol. Call it the Sunday Couch Blues. PS Shartin was massive too in among the multitude of gallops races on Trackside.

Just reminds me of a certain time when there were too many not so good Aucklanders in the All Blacks combined with a bunch of past it great players, after a lengthy reign as near unbeatable, just before a World Cup when they were hanging on for Victories. NZ could well lose their first ever pool game at the World Cup and then face Ireland in the quarters. A repeat of 91 is imminent.
