  1. The old and established programme of classic races revolved around the NZ Cup but that is certainly no longer the case. Not even in the slightest. It needs to revamped.
  2. In the same vein then, Brodie, can you explain your initial assertion about why the stable has improved?
  3. Is it quite a straight forward process? Much paper work?
  4. Please block me.
  5. It will be good the health of harness racing in the north. Even going 1 and 2 in a race at Addington last week. That is a step up from Palmy. That is a rather large stab in the dark there Brodster. Anytime a trainer improves is unlikely just to be down to this method.
  6. They will read it here and then go back to RC and launch veiled attacks. Normal operating procedure.
  7. Would you ever buy a horse through these sites? It is quite interesting to see what is on offer. Must be bargains considering the prices some of them are going for or is it a place for hobby enthusiasts only? https://horsetrader.kiwi https://standardbred.gavelhouse.com/catalogue/3/gavelhouse.com Standardbred 28 August 2019 auction
  8. See the 8 year old Monbet is nominated for Friday night. A field of 6 for the mobile 1980 and ratings range from 57 to 125. Be great if he can hold up as the trotting ranks are interesting enough as they stand now.
  9. Incredible hypocrisy someone getting that much on and some others can't get coins on. Bollocks.
  10. Ultimate Stride looks like a good horse after destroying the field in his race last night and Phil Williamson talked him up big time. Liberty Stride won well too and in a time faster than Ultimate Stride. Will be good to see how they shape up in the future.
  11. Clark trotters? Thety will have raced 20 times by Xmas and broken in 15 of them.
  12. You would hope it is a well reasoned decision to race them. Time will tell.
  13. I miss the big stand at Addington and everything that was underneath it. The problem with modern design is it is based on functionality and consequently is so dry. The only decent thing about Addington is the grass area outside the spectators bar which connects those people to the track. It is good when kids are mucking around on the grass too and then the horses come out right next to everyone, has atmosphere. Apart from that it is a bit dead. The top floor is encased by glass.screw that! Might as well be at home watching on TV. Hence, why I believe grass track racing is the saviour of harness racing with its picnic and old day traditions of bringing people together.
  14. Brilliant stuff. Here is the final https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SA3R66WHYAg
  15. Another week unrestricted. Tell you what, it is dam satisfying to be free of the TAB's clutches!
  16. Goodness, harness racing in the news on TV1 again with UMC. Hope it keeps going and it generates some public interest in the Cup. There was a random article in the Herald about the joys of harness racing the other day too. What is going on? Harness is nearly mainstream. I just hope they don't show that amateur race from tonight!
  17. As long as it is not a mile. That is the most important thing.
  18. That is Hunter's tip in the next.
  19. Well, it is his last night. He has certainly added flair, comedy and a massive amount of expertise in his time calling the trots in the Canterbury region. A job exceptionally well done. My favourite call was the trot that Theodosia won.'better than Ruapuna on a Saturday night' A big thank you from me.
  20. I will get in early (the race hasn't even finished as I write) Any comment on some of those drives? They did realise they had another lap to go didn't they?
  21. A Murray Edmonds trained runner 'foxing'? I have heard it all now. (with respect to Mr Edmonds)
  22. Can't win with only 9 strikes ?
  23. Let the rest of us suffer the strain of collecting over $1000 after you give us some tips. We can share our experiences of the process and fill you in completely.
  24. Do I get a tip from the Brodster since I just saved you a bill of several hundreds of dollars from the psychologist you would have ended up visiting if you didn't get all of that out of your system?
  25. A David Butt multi will do me. Rollova for the place, onto The Dude in the last, at 10 to 1 odds. That will do me as I am not a greedy person and don't want to get restricted.
