I wonder who will ultimately replace him. Gavin Whiterod?

That's one vote for the Dog's are better. How about expanding on the stats or do believe the numbers lie? I suspect a leading factor would be questionable/illegal training techniques by the big kennels where the higher numbers have come from. Look there could be a few different reasons for this anomaly. My sanity level isn't one of them. North = 4 CD = 10 South = 17

Some food for thought for Top Dog & Godber for that matter. Going back 3 months through the RIU "News In Brief" reports, this is what the statistics reveal. Dogs charged with Marring or FTP (regardless of whether a FPT remained after a re-vet or not) North = 4 CD = 10 South = 17 Now I fully understand that there are more meeting held in both the CD & South than there are in the North, but the ratio is still very much out of balance. There has not been more than 4 times as many meetings in the South than there has been in the North. There has not been 2.5 times as many meetings in the CD than there has been in the North. So maybe Top Dog and/or Godber should be reviewing the performance of their Northern staff. Surely the dogs haven't got behind the Stewards they like & not the ones they don't. Numbers & dogs don't lie, but something sure is.

Odd that the link provided was written EXATCLY 10 years ago. How much have things improved after ten years have past?

If that's the case, then there's someone breaking the rules/laws which gives the snake an honest story to tell the powers....

I can answer your question from my perspective. I did once ask Brendon for a bit of advice about one of my greyhounds. He didn't seem very willing whatsoever to even share a few words with me over the subject. So my tally stands at zero & I can never foresee that increasing...

Have to feel sorry for all the trainers driving home each day/night with little or no purse money in their pocket for their efforts. The Cole camp would have taken home most of it, that was on offer, after using alleged cheating training tactics & having no recognition of the GRNZ rules they are bound by. Surely his lawyers aren't working for beans & instances like this one, where vast amounts of that same purse money has to be being sucked up, is just rubbing the nose of other trainers in the $hit that the tosser has served up. The damage you have been creating for many years, is finally starting to catch up with you & I for one rather enjoy reading the findings & seeing the television reports of the justice systems narrowing in on you.

$1k limit for betting and collecting- What issues?
Yankiwi replied to Brodie's topic in Trotting Chat
Brodie, I have a simple resolution for your situation. Place all of your winning bets with overseas vendors. Place only losing bets with the NZ TAB. From this you will gain the right to bet unlimited once again with the TAB. I'm sure they would be very supportive with this action. You might be surprised how quickly your restrictions get lifted. -
Here's the solution... Hold the dog races at the lab & test the swabs immediately.
-
Agree... Let the autopsy & bloods tell the tale. I just hope for the good of the sport overall, it is performed by an independent source. Keep the process away from the CD vets & the heavily influenced Massey. Probably best to keep the blood far away from the RIU lab as well.

https://www.grnz.co.nz/News.aspx?NewsID=2377 “I’m real proud of what we are achieving and I’m very grateful for the great staff we have. My girls (daughters Georgia and Ella), Sam Lozell, Ivan Howe and his daughter, plus Maddie (granddaughter of southern industry participants Roy and Georgina Hamilton), who is studying at Massey University all contribute to our success,” advised Cole.

Food for thought.... I'm among the many that believe it is Sam in the photos. I haven't had any reason to second guess my initial opinion. That said, Maxine has come out and said that it's not Sam & she does know who it actually is (in her opinion), but did not name who she thought it was. Maybe she is correct? Surely if GRNZ believed it was Sam in the images they wouldn't have signed off on his training application, but then again, it would be the Board that makes the decision & we all know of their track record....

Hopefully the autopsy has been/will be performed in the Christchurch area. Wouldn't it come as a huge surprise if something showed up at a vet clinic down there that somehow couldn't be found by any of the corrupt vets in the CD?

Interesting swab tendencies from last night. Red hot favourites win race 9 ($50K purse) & race 11($4.6K purse) - Blood taken. $8.20 outsider wins race 10 ($50K purse) - Urine taken. Why not a level playing field? I wonder who the trainer was that received this potential preferential treatment was? That rort smell Aquaman first detected could be lingering.

So should I be happy for the first trainer that was fined 0.5% of his total yearly income for killing six dogs on the ferry or for the second trainer that made one dog sick for half an hour and getting fined 6.2% of his total yearly income? Should I be happy that GRNZ/RIU ignored live baiting pictures handed first to them which they sat on for a few days, before they were then taken to the SPCA, which has now filed CRIMINAL charges because of them, yet in the mean time that same LP's kennel has racked up roughly $5M in stakes earnings in the same sport he has brought into disrepute?

Another blatant example if "it's who you are", not what has been done. One dog - suffers mild heat stroke -send home by the race day vet virtually untreated 1/2 hour later. Two people fined - Total fine $2,550.00 http://www.jca.org.nz/non-race-day-hearings/non-raceday-inquiry-riu-v-b-goldsack-and-r-goldsack-written-decision-dated-2-august-2019-chair-mr-n-mccutcheon The precedent from just about one year ago. Six dogs - all died. Two people fined - Total fine $6,000.00 http://www.jca.org.nz/non-race-day-hearings/non-racedy-inquiry-riu-v-j-mcinerney-and-r-armstrong-written-decision-dated-31-august-2018 So why aren't the two cases decided on level ground? 6 x $2,550.00 = $15,300.00 applying the later penalty to the first case. $6000.00 / 6 = $1000.00 applying the first penalty to the later case. In other words- Case #1 - Six dead dogs = .5% of 2017/2018 total earnings. Case #2 - I sick dogs for 30 minutes = 6.2% of 2017/2018 total earnings. Case #2 the dog is likely having its dinner tonight. Case #1 none of the 6 dogs had dinner the night their decision was posted. Case #2 was 12.4 times more sever than Case #1 in monetary penalty. Where's the justice?

I presume a Leur is a Loo'er, with poor spelling.

Doesn't hurt to give them a scratch even if they've only tried to win. The ones that fall near the winning post, after a 305M sprint & begin having what appears to be epileptic fit are best patted or scratched by the vet.
