  1. Lisa might have been there, but her husband has been warned-off by GRNZ, so I believe it would be unlikely that Brendon would be allowed at the track. HRNZ rules read... 709 (1) The following persons (in addition to those who may be excluded and removed under any other of these Rules, or under Rules made pursuant to section 34 of the Racing Act 2003) and horses shall be excluded from all places under the control of the Stewards: (e) all persons warned off its course by any Club, or by any Racing Club duly registered under the New Zealand Rules of Racing; If he was allowed on course, then the Stewards would have failed in their duty, which doesn't surprise me one bit.

Well if the Cole camp weren't up to something that they shouldn't be, you'd think they like to know why 80% of the dogs that drop at the lure are from their kennel. J Mac has far more dogs & 60% more starts this season then the Cole camp does. Why aren't his dogs dropping dead at the lure? Attention RIU/GRNZ - It's not simply an anomaly or a coincidence.... Arsenic.. might like to chime in on this one....
  4. Maybe all pups should be sent to Palmerston North for some bull-ring socialisation. There they might get to meet a Bichon Frieze, a hare & a possum all in the same training day.

Should be bagged & sent immediately to GRV or NSW to be autopsied, including FULL bloods. No more jokes coming from a race day vet or Massey for that matter. It's time that a 100% neutral, unbiased autopsy is performed.
  6. Yesterday in Dunedin there were some prime examples of why I believe the traps should be delayed in opening until at least the lure is out of the corner & heading down the backstretch, even if that means it's going a bit slower when the boxes trigger. #8 wants the lure! #6 wants the lure! Now I understand they are going to tamper with the lure arm length, by extending it further from the rail, which I believe is a very good move. But I also believe that the lure should be "further down the track" when boxes pop open. That way the lure appears to the dogs to be between the them & the first corner, not between them & the finish line while they're still in the backstretch!

Classic (coverup) Top Dog… No stand-down for either dog... No swabs in the race taken...
  8. From what I understand, the photo's I have possession of are not all of the photo's. It's rumoured there are more photos, showing some different people in the frames & also there could possibly be a video. I wonder if Brendon Cole, the GRNZ LP that has been charged because of his alleged live baiting, will apply for and be granted name suppression at his court hearing?
  9. I must say, I do admire Coles lawyer, even though I don't know who it is. By the behaviour Brendon has shown over the last year plus, his lawyer have him completely fooled into believing that he has done nothing wrong & will be acquitted of all the charges. Oh what money can't buy....

    Do Nothing

1st race day start in NZ today. Sedate it then deport it before connections kill it!
  11. In Brendon's case, he is a handler effectively acting as the Trainer. The trainer of record is his wife Lisa., who has little or nothing to do with the dogs...
  12. Sorry Chief.. I don't know what a stable hand is... A handler is generally boxing/catching dogs on camera... They have several other tasks which are not aired on the tube (kennelling & so on). An LP (Licensed Person) is a very broad term... All of the following need to be an LP under GRNZ rules Public Trainer Private Trainer Handler Owner Stud Master
  13. He's a licensed handler. He's not a licensed trainer.
  14. First thought Aquaman.. you need an up to date rule book! Under 83.2, the board would be well within their rights to suspend Brendon's licence. I have believed for a long time it would be in the best interest and help towards showing some integrity. That said, it would take a proactive board (should have been done a year & a half ago) which everyone knows we didn't/don't have. We have a reactive board & it's about as reactive as a sloth for some training operations... Things didn't move anywhere near this slow with Denis, did it? 83.2 The Association may issue a show cause notice to a Licenced Person directing them to attend a hearing and demonstrate why their Licence should not be cancelled, suspended or withdrawn, or have conditions imposed on it. Any hearing will be heard by the Chief Executive (or his/her delegate) and a Board Member (who is not a member of the Integrity Committee of the Association). After the hearing the Chief Executive and the Board member will jointly submit a recommendation to the Integrity Committee of the Association as to whether the Licence should be cancelled, suspended, withdrawn, or whether it should be maintained in its current form. The circumstances in which a show cause notice may be issued include but are not limited to: (a) failure to pay debts incurred as a result of participation in the industry as evidenced by a judgement of a court or signed written complaints supported by undisputed evidence of the debt; or (b) recommendations from an inquiry by Stipendiary Stewards or Racecourse Investigators; or (c) failure to meet conditions of the Licence; or (d) any reason that may otherwise be grounds for an immediate cancellation, suspension or withdrawal of, or imposition of conditions on, the Licence; or (e) involvement in ongoing racing investigations; or (f) a person for whom, in the opinion of the Board, there is reasonable cause to believe may bring Greyhound racing into disrepute.
  15. This could have been dealt with many years ago... The complaints/concerns were raised with more than one kennel. The RIU & GRNZ Board just buried their heads in the sand & pretended it wasn't happening... Not quite so long ago, remember the Peter Earley's Wednesday radio show when a caller rang in & spoke to CR (when he was the board chair) asking him when the Cole kennel would be dealt with for live baiting? The caller pointed out that he had many dogs with the kennel & that he must know exactly what was happening there... The immediate (transcript response?) was that GRNZ had no evidence of such practice so if the caller had some, ring the RIU hotline & provide them with the evidence... If only it was broadcast as a TV show & not a radio show... The fear/lies/deceit would have been all over the face of CR... I had noticed with CR that when he became fearful, he began speaking much faster & the tone of his voice changed... Remember how quick he was to respond to that caller? I do... Nice door by the way, referring to the dork in the TV3 interview a couple of weeks back..... coward... I must be jealous that TV3 doesn't come to my house for a chat, so I can hide behind a door too.
  16. The dogs didn't gain any benefit. Actually they probably have lost a benefit, at the chance for a peaceful retirement. The real benefit gained is on the GRNZ website for everyone to read.
  17. He'd need written consent to transfer ownership 76.2 76.1 No Licenced Person may train, or keep (unless retired as a pet) any Greyhounds at any property or premises of a person who has been Disqualified, Warned Off, Suspended or declared to be a Defaulter, during that person’s period of disqualification, warning off, suspension or default. "No Licenced Person may train or keep" Lisa may not train Brendon (still an LP even though he's warned off) may not keep on property. Right?
  18. Today's rulebook study lesson... 76.1 No Licenced Person may train, or keep (unless retired as a pet) any Greyhounds at any property or premises of a person who has been Disqualified, Warned Off, Suspended or declared to be a Defaulter, during that person’s period of disqualification, warning off, suspension or default. 76.2 No person who has been Disqualified, Warned Off, Suspended, or declared to be a Defaulter, shall be permitted during the period of disqualification, warning off, suspension or default, to transfer ownership or any training responsibilities for any Greyhound, to any other person without the written consent of the Board. Race 1 today ~ Race 2 today ~ Race 7 today ~ Race 10 today ~
  19. Under GRNZ rules a dog must satisfactorily trial to apply blinkers, but there is no need to trial to remove blinkers. On Thursday (#5 rug) - no blinkers~ One race back (#6 rug) - blinkers That said, I believe the charge on Thursday should have been 55.1.a for marring!
  20. Hopefully, after next years Derby there will be a different face in the winning photo, holding a different finger up, as a salute to what this mongrel has brought to the code.
  21. I read on MSN news that the Easter Bunny was mauled by a pack of greyhounds in Palmerston North, while delivering eggs, in the wee hours of Sunday morning. It's also been reported that a PN man has been seen standing on his trailer in Wanganui today, calling out for Santa, claiming that he's been a good boy this year.
  22. So, I've done a bit of digging on Lochinvar Flash... From what I understand, this dog is one of the worst non chasers Robbie Smith and Kevin Gordon have ever had in Australia. The dog was solo trialling in track record times around Richmond and Maitland, but they just couldn't get it to chase when more than one dog was on the track. Robbie & Kevin then sent it away to someone in Victoria after fighting in every trial with another dog. Apparently that person couldn't get him going either. From there he's been brought to NZ, running for a leading HANDLER (sorry Brendon, I will not be referring to you as a trainer any longer) in the CD. Watch this one closely, as it's already become apparent, the crooked caped crusader is going to turn a blind eye to it. How's that taste top dog?
  23. The first sentence is obvious. The remainder is hypothetical with real possibility....
  24. Don't need a speech figure out how this guys mind works. Wait until his funding manager starts to feel the pinch getting applied.... Flash used driveway gates for sale. Quick sale only. Must be picked up from Palmerston North. Reluctantly selling because lawyer bills are getting out of control.
