  1. Unfortunately I saw that clip as well and peaked my interest. That is what they dole out in N.Z. but looking forward to R.F.K. stiring things up.
  2. I need to find out weather the stock standard tetanus shot is available in NZ, for all I know it could only be the Boostrix shot. I might reach out to NZDOS and find out. Not overly happy as I was a strong non taker of the carrot cake the govt pushed for you to have a bite. My main concern is for the future of my kids and what extras the health system will try and encourage them into in the future without telling the full story. Until they turn 18 nothing will be going their way and after that I will make my feelings very clear before and after they become adults.
  3. Hey Yankiwi I had to get a tetanus shot few weeks back after I impaled my hand on a very rusty nail and been well over 10yrs since my last shot. Sunday arvo attempting some DIY to a fence gone wrong. Anyway off to the hospital, I was in and out within 15 minutes which at the time I thought mint. Then Tuesday at work was talking to a friend that came in and asked if I got the single shot or the triple. Didn't have a clue, nothing mentioned when getting the tetanus shot. Checked my emails and get a message from managemyhealth through my doctor. Turns out I received the dtap-45y as im over 45ys of age, which is: provides protection against diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough. Tdap (Adacel® and Boostrix®) provides protection against tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough I was a tad passed off as there was no informed consent regarding this so I made a official complaint. The result that I ended up with was that Health NZ only gives this type of tetanus shot and the charge nurse will remind staff to make sure for the future to inform patients about what the actual shot it is. Im still currently stewing on a reply. As I'm sure you can still just get a straight tetanus shot but after rolling my ankle on Monday has been put on the side burner, also another visit to hospital but no jabs 😉.
  4. Well the masks are gone and last of the mandates soon. I shared a thought from Kiwi Voice on Facebook and had a friend reply what a load of dribble. I really dont think he believes that there are many like me in my way of thinking. All I know I was lucky, I didnt lose my job or coersed into taking the jab. I had a fall back if need be which alot of people didnt. Have copied and pasted my reply: ".... .... first off thanks for reading. I'm sure a few would just ignore and scroll on through. For me and I'm sure 10's of thousands feel the same. Not from kiwi voice but what's happened over the last 2 and abit years. Weather your jabbed or not doesn't bother me at all and every single kiwi should have had a choice, not been coerced into getting something injected into their body. However the campaign of fear injected by the mainstream media was basically get covid you will die from the "One source of truth' was a load of bollocks and the pandemic of the evil unvaccinated did not occur either. The tune was then changed to get the jab and you wont be as sick if you get covid. Mandates occurred even when said they would not by the P.M. Jobs lost, families divided, friendships crushed and I'm sure for alot it was just all to much in the worst kind of way. People were all to keen to look down on people and shun those that didnt want what was been pushed. Hey but in the end the vaccinated got covid and spread it as well as the unvaccinated. Plenty more I could write but I'll leave it there. I dont feel elated that masks have gone or the last of the mandates have finally. I feel sadness for the grief thousands went through for unnecessary mandates and anger over it as well. Some will say let this go but this will live with me for the rest of my life. I'd like to think it over but highly doubt it."
  5. Bit quiet on the western front as of late on here. I find if I get into things to much it starts doing my head in and have to take a break from it and any form of news. Only reason I look at any msm news is to see what angle the sneaky bastards are aiming at for their narrative. Interesting there has been no news on N.Z. media regarding the Dutch Farmers or what's happened in Demark regarding dropping covid measures or the C.D.C, quietly ending differentiation on covid vac status. Of course when there is no covid news its back to the good old climate change. Guess its a wait and see or find approach currently Cheers team - Lad27
  6. Before I started a family I think the going rates were $17-$20+ (excluding gst ) a day. Hope that helps, will get into it one day again myself if N.Z. Greyhounds survive the Green Party and their agenda.
  7. Made the mistake of watching the project on 3 last night as a survey had been done on weather nurses should go back to work that are not vaxed. Surprise to all the hosts was a 57% yes response that they should. Well then all the pro vax rhetoric started spewing out of the hosts, with the main culprit been one Mark Richardson, the remote just was itching to go through the TV. That man needs to stick to the Block and Cricket commentating, absolute twat!
  8. Actually the first positive segment on Seven Sharp last night with Waikato Greyhound club. I messaged GRNZ the night before that one of the presenters had used the word 'rescued'. To GRNZ credit they got hold of the producer before going to air last night and it was a positive piece for the code.
  9. Had my first beer at a bar couple of Thursdays ago. Was the last place I had a beverage on the 3rd of December, didn't mind the wait and no vax floating in my body I'm very happy about my decision. Spotted about three other unvaxed enjoying a drink. Poor old hospo got thrown under the bus, run over by the second bus and the third bus hit reverse.
  10. Well last day of my isolation. Back to work for the weekend. Started on Monday the 21st of March with my 6yr old coming home from school with the rona. High temp and in his words 'sore brains', wondered about the house with a cold face cloth on his head for two days and pretty much after 48hrs he was good. We all had to isolate so I got busy about the property doing all those jobs I was getting onto. Thursday night I went to bed, woke up about 2am with fever, body aches. Never felt my bones ache before, legs and pelvis. So that started my isolation again, oh joy! Friday was a write off in bed, Sat spent half a day up then back to bed. Sunday whole day up and about with the family. Monday felt 100% so went and got busy in the garden with few cold sweats. Bad move, seemed to kickstart the bronchitis I had prior to the rona. So back on antibiotics and hopefully 100% again soon. What did I learn, well for the life of my why would you jab kids. My 4yr old now has it and apart from a runnie nose & sore throat good as with a bit of pamol ( kids panadol ). Only one in the family that doesn't have it is my other half and she got the V late Dec due to pressure of of not been able to do stuff with the kids. The hooo haaa that has been caused by this over reaction to the rona is unbelievable, still has my parents very scared. My kids will be paying this drama off when I'm long gone.
  11. Aquaman, good turnout last week with about 4000 in the rain and very loud from my understanding. Top effort!
  12. Bang on Chief. J.A. is still holding her line but will it crack or not I don't know. Her undoing was the 7000 people watching live streams last Thursday. In the past there would have been complaints and nothing done about it, swept under the carpet. I was home crook ( not covid lol - I did have to have a test ) so watched alot of it. M.S.M are only slightly turning, interesting to watch.
  13. Currently a magic thing happening up in Wellington and Picton. People are united even with the mix of diversity ( couple I'm not a huge fan of but that's life ). I know people that have lost their jobs to the mandates, I know one person that has died but classed as a heart attack three days after her second jab, midde to late 30's. Then I have two friends at Fonterra that are in the predicament of their job or no job which both can't afford to walk away come the 1st of April F.F.S. all the govt has to do is open dialogue
  14. Personally I dont think the chch track will handle 4 meetings a week. What if there is a massive storm or another bloody earthquake? Southland will have 5 normal 12 card meetings and 33 mini meetings which I understand are 3 races. Rita need to look at their top heavy management structure first. Frontera did a chop chop of that a wee while ago. As for grnz it use to be run by five or six now 11 according to their own site. As for a I.T. person mmmm they ran from facebook for years.
  15. Mehe I'd take Andy over Trev anyday. Trev called a nose finish either Monday or Tuesday, was going on about the winner. Guess what - he was gobsmacked he got it wrong. That's done me over on the radio a few times driving. Andy's calling and form analysis are bloody good.
  16. https://www.grnz.co.nz/News/2540/Revised-Draft-Calendar-for-Next-Season-Released Otago probably gone, Southland downsized. Will hurt a certain trainer more than covid 19 did.

    Tracks may close

My 2 cents worth. I dont see anything been closed down, gallops have more concern in that area. Cost of keeping a greyhound track to a harness or gallop track is alot less. Yes totally agree with breeding been dominated by one or two, those kennels who will be currently feeling the pinch. No prize money is currently been paid out, the only income been lost is by the racing board through tab operations. Betting has not ceased, in fact the ozz greys have been treating me well. Hopefully this will wake up the amount of money plunged into wages at the racing board level and grnz which over the last few years have grown largely.
  18. Mehe, seeing you don't seem to get it, I'll have a go. Basically it comes down to transparency and consistency and it ain't happening!. All that Yankiwi is doing is shinning the spotlight on it and asking for the two things above and for that I thank him. I've been involved in greyhounds for well over 10yrs from when one of my punters in the pub said pop round and have a look at some greyhound pups in 2007, did a deal and got the greyhound bug ever since. Many I say many $1000's spent! My passion for the code is dwindling and my enthusiasm has waned, from the current transparency and consistency over many issues, i.e. the import fee, the be nice to certain trainers, $300 fine been charged with fraud, would just like to highlight that word - FRAUD "wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain" The list goes on where I shake my head from week to week. I still follow and watch what happening with breeding but the punt is beginning to lose interest and if I'm one bloke like that then I'm sure there is many more.
  19. Mehe, be the first I've seen nominating a retired greyhound. Especially seeing that dog was on facebook retired.
  20. Bloody good race to watch Bam, didn't have a punt but enjoyed the race. Also the last with crowd fav Feral Franky!

    import fee

Just in!, Blind Harry passed some new and interesting information on. UPDATE - Import fee increase In regards to the import fee change to $2000, the Board and Chief Executive have decided to defer this for 6 months and the current policy will remain. We have received significant feedback consisting of new, interesting and relevant information which has lead us to making this decision. Once GRNZ has more statistics we will revisit the import fee policy in early 2020. AA

    2k Madness

I think we are going to have to agree to disagree Yankiwi on this one. I'd like to know the stats of the last year over this new policy. If this had occurred over the last ten years then there would have been plenty of dogs we would have never seen the likes of Swift Fantasy, Dyna Vikkers or Dream Collector to name a few. The real issue is rehoming dogs in N.Z. and to say we have been behind the 8 ball in this department is pretty much not far off. ' Equally, the issue of stakes repatriation and the potential loss of reinvestment into New Zealand' Since when the f*#@ have G.R.N.Z. been worried about $$$ heading back to ozz???, I've been involved since 2007 and this is the first time. Was a $250 000 race at Addington a few years ago, pretty sure 1st and 2nd place $$$ went back to ozz. This is just an easy fix without focusing on the issue of 3 large breeders, one in particular in the north island in deep with an ex board member because there is bugger all small breeders about and just remember who pulled the pin of frozen straws into N.Z. for the small guys.
