  1. I thought she did really well today , added some much needed colour & her enthusiasm appears to be genuine which is refreshing. Crowd was poor.
  2. Must be a big noter, as they are trying to find an out for them. All accidental of course.
  3. In the world of NZTR nothing is thought out.
  4. Absolutely laughable & just a way for the already well endowed to shuffle a bit more funds their way!
  5. This type of thing happening across the country unfortunately and will only get worse.
  6. Don't worry they have a back up plan that's been put into motion at the minute, that'll really please TAB and completely destroy the fabric of the industry!
  7. If it was that easy the fields would have 10-12 starters in them. I don't begrudge any owners picking up some loose change that keeps them going in the sport of kings, without these 5 or 6 horses Saturday afternoons would be a lot different.
  8. That's only the case because of industry nepotism and neglect, its never been a level playing field , you just have to look at Avondale. Those making the decisions will sell everything so long as they can keep going, racing is absolutely ruined in this country and will only be in a worse position once the theft of the land begins. No one cares about legacy. The new CEO is more of the same and probably as clueless as the last 4 or 5 we have had. A race day that stops the nation midweek in this country , speaks volumes for how his reign will be.
  9. New CEO said on the Guerin Report there has to be a focus on infrastructure , surely they are beginning to realise this? However I'm sure their idea of investment in infrastructure is to steal club assets!
  10. New CEO was on SENZ this afternoon and was hinting they would like to move Champions day to mid week day thats stops the nation. If that happens it will rival several other decisions for the dumbest move ever! Leave it on Saturday , it clearly worked.
  11. Not sure , I'd say spelling. Was just on the Guerin Report
  12. Stop the rot, only a fanboy would put it like that.
  13. Out for the season unfortunately.
  14. You're a fan but you can't indulge yourself by looking in the mirror at your baseless positivity towards everything they do.
  15. Surely this 2yo superstar heads off the contest the Slipper ? Best kiwi trained chance since McGinty, doesn't appear to be much in the Aus 2yo ranks this season so the unbeaten son of Snitzel looks a moral for top 3 , make the purchase price look cheap when he lands the Slipper.
  16. You really do have a fanboy complex for TA don't you?
  17. I for one am very happy for them if they got 10k crowd, either way it doesn't matter it was a very good days racing, with some great finishes and well done to all involved. My only caveat is the NZB Kiwi is the height of cringe in racing, from golden eggs, a poor field , big Daves dive for the limelight to chiefs favourite dancing troupe and thoroughly undeserving of all the hype and $$$'s involved not to mention it makes the Karaka Millions look inviting.
  18. If it was 10k rest assured they will be letting you know.
  19. Totally unnecessary before a horse race especially supposedly "the" horse race.

I'd be OK with any of them doing it ,who cares who owns the slot.

They could always concentrate on their core product.

Track was great and some excellent races. Nothing I saw yesterday has changed my mind about the NZB Kiwi though. The hype and nonsense over the race is beyond cringe (smashing golden eggs at the barrier draw FFS) and I'm yet to see any real impact its had on anything but the same crowd of syndicators, breeders and trainers. This won't end the way you think it will TAB4eva, this is NZracing after all.

Some quite potentially mouthwatering clashes on the horizon in the fillies races with TTM involved.
  24. A bit hard to tell, the overhead shots appeared to show good numbers on the lawn but both stands looked a bit empty. On a positive the track appeared to play well and 2 very good races on the programme in the Bonecrusher & the Diamond Stakes.
