Not Black Type , my point exactly , do you think they would win that race?

Did you fall and knock your head on the kitchen counter last night CS? I said near $400k . Yes its the fields sizes they are pathetic for the $$$ being thrown around, how do you know the quality is good especially in the boys race as they are winning more weak small field sized 2yo races to get to this point , any of them win the Pierro Plate at Randwick this weekend any of them on the way to the real Slipper?

What's that got to do with the field sizes and the $$ being thrown at them? I know your idols have huge participation in these races and the 2yo scene so it may be difficult for your to be partisan in your opinions , but at least try!

Well at least I can count , 3 of the 12 are by NZ sires SS & Sav. they are not all by Aus sires , have a look again and let me know if you need a hand to work that out. Absolute rubbish about new blood being introduced, any good fillies will likely be sold for large sums o'seas & the colts well we can only hope they stay colts on these shores.

Surely it is time to review the 2yo races? Nearly $400k in stakes getting thrown at 12 runners at Matamata this weekend , 5 in Slipper & 7 in the Breeders (the Breeders yeah right 6 are by Aus based Sires) . Not to mention the joke at Ellerslie a few weeks ago. Why do we do this? So syndicates can buy up Aus breed 2yos at the sales looking for a quick buck, how is this good for racing?
  7. The worse one is "on my ratings" WTF absolute load of BS!
  8. Good point. It feels a bit like they are keeping stakeholders in the dark until a certain point in time when they can do something, perhaps Geo Blocking?
  9. Outside of KM night (which is obvious with the World Pools) I just don't see it, love to be proven wrong. The same will happen for Champions Day with the World Pools and that will be deemed a success. So many punters have lost interest in the bread and butter days, that has to be a concern.
  10. Your concerns well founded , I can only see it getting worse. I see nothing in the new appointment that should give any hope that will not be the case.
  11. Agree you need a site moderator with a sense of humour like CS 😁🤣😂... these days!
  12. Only so many ponies to go around in this industry T4eva and on February tracks as well.
  13. But they've moved some of the big races and things are going great!
  14. He is getting very brave also, he doesn't even postscript it with " Just my opinion " anymore.
  15. "Turnovers = Top Secret "or at least that appears to be the case. I keep hearing the same about Turnovers , but I just can't get my head around them having increased at all, not the least significantly at the moment. Everything in this industry is giving the indication that little has changed apart from stakes (i.e. crowds) . The meetings I've attended recently seem to have the same number of patrons on course as they ever have, its just as easy to get a bet on (if you take into account how they have made it harder to for us older ones) but I don't see people betting more in fact it appears as if punters are being more careful with their hard earned. Apart from the World Pool , which is a "give me" . I can't see where this is occurring ... massive punting on peoples phones or sports betting?
  16. I tried to , but no buyers they are all buying up shares in racehorses!
  17. Not just the systems that need to go.
  18. I missed this race , we're horses left in barrier again?
  19. This year might be an exception with both of the horses looking like they have rare ability and both could have some luck and go on with it, i.e. wouldn't be beyond reason to see them both in a Cox Plate. Surely that has to create some much needed interest for the sport here, real interest not the fabricated type like KM or the NZ Kiwi.
  20. I agree and I don't we can keep them here, look at Oaks & Derby favs both off to Aus never to be seen again on these shores after their respective goals.
  21. I think the only stipulation is you have to be a TAB Account holder to be part of it.
  22. The worst part is , we will record the aftermath of the race and show you after the next race from wah wah , thats really annoying!
  23. Be lucky if he can achieve 2 out of 5 , main focus will be on 2 which will really put the dagger in the back of the sport. I always finding it amusing how the fools who write these articles and refer to Venue Rationalization as some kind of cost savings for the industry, I've never understood that .
