  1. We all know how good they are , but like spending squillions on expensive yearlings it just distorts the local content, TA deserve little applause for what they achieve with the resources they have in NZ. Aus I take my hat off to them it's a level playing field for the resources they have.
  2. I did not think you were this naieve, you really think this stable cdnt have got who they wanted months out , if not it's incredibly poor planning on their behalf ( it isn't they wouldn't be that silly). You really need to evaluate the obsession in 2025 !
  3. You can't be biased if you have a checklist ... doh!
  4. There are plenty & several good ones at that . The real fact of the matter is they don't trust/rate a single kiwi jock apart from the recently retired Bosson.
  5. Why do the dummy NZ jocks bother riding for this outfit? You're going to get ditched for an Aus jock all the time.
  6. It's a given this time of year, the crowds will come no matter what quality of horse you have running. Many a club over emphasizes their success through such meetings.
  7. 99 caught behind... ouch!
  8. Wow , yes it does.
  9. Picking up the small fry. Especially SI. I'm sure they are due a huge day soon.
  10. Fantastic news to hear , long may it continue. It's great to see the track doing the job.
  11. How did he lose that race , can someone explain?
  12. They have struggled at the new Ellerslie for some time. Over 80 starters for 4 winners. Also is there an element of the new prize money catching up, better horses staying not being sold etc?
  13. It shouldn't be rgat hard to put a programme together, industry days should largely have a set of races that are standard fir the programming followed by some sort of natural progression following from this at other meetings in tge region. The other stupid think I find us places have 2 racemeetings in the same region over 2-3 days , then a desert of opportunity afterwards.
  14. Like most things In nzracing, a significant few have a huge influence over matters of programming whether good for the industry or not.
  15. Half the card at Taranaki won't pay 3 civvies on the tote. Racing for northern trainers?
  16. That's a good point, one can see one helluva a mess should they pull out.
  17. The NZB Kiwi or Funny trophy race whatever it's called is appearing to be an absolute yawn fest, any race dependent on the prize money alone to focus most interest in it , is going to struggle to capture the imagination. The beauty of the Everest as you have so succinctly put it is you get to know the horses & can follow their path there, this NZB kiwi half of us don't have a clue who is going there. Not to mention the Everest are the Superstars of the sport.
  18. Amusing, fools in nzracing expecting Jamie Richard's to replicate his NZ success elsewhere , the guy was doing it in cheat mode in NZ with TA. He may well be one of the better trainers in HK in time, but it'll only be achieved through time itself. Plenty of more talented trainers in NZ getting great results with considerably less resources than he had.
  19. Doesn't matter how negative you are , racing in NZ is on an unstoppable ascent into greatness , the return of the hey days of nz racing creeps closer every day!!
  20. More than happy to let you enjoy your hero worship of this guy.... that's a sad state of affairs.
