Movie is over so final post on this thread, in-fact for the day! Ideas entries closed after 3 days open. But before that lets recap. Ranga "I have 4 brilliant ideas". Ranga "Im happy to discuss". Karrots asks Ranga questions - Ranga does not answer. Ranga claims he was "forced into making a suggestion". Ranga goes on another thread name calling Karrots. Ranga then adds another name call on this thread about Karrots. Karrots asked him to just answer the question/s. Ranga again avoids & tries to divert, by yet again mocking. Ranga then goes on another thread & states he "is not a mind reader". Yet still refuses to answer Karrots question/s. No offence intended but didn’t take your movie suggestion Ranga, as its clear we have different taste on some things which is tots fine. Karrots expects another pot-shot, but won’t bother wasting time to reply to Ranga. Final updated list of ideas. Thanks to those that contributed! 1. Upt Entertainment on offer big time - some potential examples have been listed. 2. Get rid of wasted/ non used stand Alex. (Updated Elijah advises stand most likely to disappear once sold as area up for sale). 3. Give out vouchers at BIG DAYS for peeps to have an incentive to return to a normal meeting e.g. Cup Week. 4. Charge on certain special days e.g. Jewels, maybe FAMILY DAY or Derby Day. 5. Create atmosphere beyond those in corporate ALL inclusive rooms - food/drink. 6. Unrestrict restricted punters, so they can bring back peeps back to race-course their kids, friends & family. 7. In between races have a Chariot Race. 8. Have some Match races. A thoroughbred at the 1200m start v a pacer 1 lap from the winning post. 9. Could focus on 1 big day of the year similar to Cup Week or Jewels Day & try to make it a BIG popular day similar to gallops Boxing Day at races. 10. Invite Vincent along. Could be on a special occasion race day or could become somewhat regular pending where he resides. - If he does not reside in NZ, wonder if someone here could learn & pull of that sort of performance. 11.Saturdays idea is out due to Harrison advising Aussie folk won’t allow it. 12.Cash up & relocate while they still are so asset rich. They are responsible for the survival of harness racing in North Island. they can't undo whats happened, but they can try & turn negatives into a new positive if planned properly. Part of that planning should be to locate into an area which will attract the public, the focus of this topic. Right next movie!

Why did you feel you were forced to come up with an idea? After all you did not post on the vivid memories thread. Even tho I had singled you out as someone that is good at writing about those types of things. So why feel forced here & not there? Would you agree that it is ok for us to hold different views on some subjects & not on others? Would you agree that Alex P & the North are going downhill? Would you agree that the status quo is not working therefore the most likely projection should this continue is downhill further? What would your suggestion then be for the North to move forward in a more positive direction? No pressure nor need to come up with a gimmick or whatever in your words. Something that might actually make a difference to the future of the North & Alex P. After all you have come onto this thread & posted multiple times. Really, thanks for the latest inside info update Trotsfan. Wow, back to stable foreman but his results were good. Birdstory must NOT be true then. That is good! Also await his reason why he chose to disrespect our Vivid memories thread. The only poster to do so, even Forbs put in a nice memory. Prob dig Rangas idea the best, not that this is a competition, but its really cool. Looks like there are spout type things built into sulky that fireworks comes out of. Looks like an epic ENTERTAINER this Vincent. Funny thing is that when I put forth ENTERTAINERS as an idea, this ENTERTAINER idea was none other than mocked by Ranga. Didn't know Alex P held Fashion in the Fields. Certainly never ever discussed fashion in fields on here. Believe another poster brought that up, not me. Karrots awaits Ludwigs & Rangas brilliant ideas to attract new potential re-occuring participants to Alex P.

Actually now on subject of mocking, why did you mock the Vivid memories thread also? You were the only poster to do so. Bit of a slap in the face to ALL those that posted their wonderful memories. Now come on this thread that you also mock & post your memory.
