Yes that makes sense. That is exactly what happened re wee horse went charging forth. Then before home straight was well beat. Felt sorry for the poor thing. Yikes, that was what was thinking, how on earth did they get the wrong horse into a race with branding etc … 1 think did note last nite, was that on a stripes report it stated: ALL with multiple runners in a race, were pre-questioned by stripes, pre-race re race tactics. Thought this was a GREAT IDEA & should be adopted here.

Oh really. Watched race replay of that poor wee horse that finished last by so many lengths. Checked its rating & its only in R40’s while rest of that field were mostly R70’s & the horse that it was replacing was actually a R70’s horse that had won something like 3 times or 4 times the number of races it had won. Didn’t make sense to me for it to be running in that race as a replacement horse. Total weirdness IMO. Saw it was disqualified even tho it ran last & then it was later scratched a LATE scratching in later race. To think they actually intended to run it again. Yikes. Im sorry, but that’s just a bad look. (If as you say according to an Oz website). Yip thats where I picked it up from, but as not a subscriber couldn’t see full story. Thanks again Poster M.

(Chief thinks for some reason Im paranoid. I call it BEING AWARE). Anyway BIG ups to you Chief & your moderation. Just knew it! On a different note saw a horse had been for some reason switched in races in Oz, like trainer put in wrong horse with another horse. No idea if this was a genuine mistake or if it was done on purpose. Know mistake can happen e.g. sometimes peeps can get wrong saddle cloth & at yearling sale a genuine mix up oppsey mistake happened. Does anyone know the situation about this?

FFS Whiplash its just a bit of lite-hearted fun. If you missed it the noms & so forth have been closed. Therefore there will be limited or no more talk about HOT list, its Terminar now. Most likely those that found themselves on it, it may have put a smile on their face. The same as when Iv done other lists eg. Value for Money Sires, Best Drive of the Season etc. Personally find it much better passing on compliments & credit when it is due, pointing out good results etc, than insults & personal attacks & or name calling, bullying or other similar. Something you seem to do on a regular basis. Why don’t you come up with a thread that isn’t an insult or personal attack on another poster &/or a list of something positive about horses, drivers/trainers or peeps in the industry in general.

Chief, here you go again, with your argue to just argue, Why did they bring in a passing lane? Should you not use the passing lane when it is there, just stay behind the leader? Not bother about at least trying to get passed the lead horse or any other horse that maybe near or looming. Karrots has come to the conclusion that he MOST LIKELY made that decision based on something is up with the horse, as Unhinged alluded to. Not for betting or weird purposes. Again as Big Bang said the decision will be out tonight what stripes do. 3 - 6 months to me sounds a bit unfair if he had indeed done it for reasons due to horse being hard to drive etc. On the flip side it was a BAD LOOK. Especially to those that don’t know that this horse has or had probs. Thats my final post on this thread.

Ok, only going to reply as think what you just said is reasonable. Shall await the trial & verdict with interest. (PS think those that commented on the length were doing so in a comparison to what others have got re drives, similar incidents - so that is perhaps their thought process in what he will likely approx get). Another good tip Brods gave me, bless him was if you don't see anything you like, don't take anything. Wait for next time. Think with this big place punting it very important oppose if you are just betting smaller for fun. Here in this game, everyone had to make 3 selections, but some may only have really liked 2 or maybe even 1. So we ALL did really well with selecting 3. Another tip too was to stick to the same money each time spent. So e.g. if you are doing $1k, stick to that. Yes everyone has there own strategies, once I learn the drivers/trainers/horses better at Addington & South, may take up this strategy well give it a crack. (But not same amounts as Brods) Its actually because of you folk on here that I now watch the South, prior was not interested. Maybe like you guys not so interested in the North racing. But here as I talk about it sometimes, then might look more at it than would of otherwise.

Oh my was so caught up in races & what not yesterday, didn’t even read nor hear about this attack what they are calling a terror one took place. Just reading about it now. Gee last time was randomly there happened to see ya old mate there too maybe 3-4-6 months ish ago right by that exact supermarket. Yes me too. I follow North more but due to Brods tips more to follow Addington bigger track. So its taking me time to do so. Learn the horses there. Last nite was good practice. Still don't know them all that well. Def can see a way to make $ on this big place punting. But one has to know form & horses etc before being super confident.

Ok so basically think what you are saying in code is, The driver chose not to move out when in the straight as he felt the horse at that time, may break up or race unwillingly. Roger that. Ok after hearing that side too, Im incline to think the stripes will still give him time or fine. No idea how much. (But Im not an expert in this type of thing). Just can't really see them not being able too, unless he pre-warned them & to pre-warn punters. Maybe moving forward if hasn’t already to do so. Could be a good idea. So yeah lets wait & see.

Ok, just watched this race. When watched race today actually had eyes only on Sugar Me 😍 & the Telfer runner, shame it seemed to over-race on parked spot. Anyway back to topic. Hmm from an objective point from only watching this race, no idea how the horse runs usually or its past history, just basing it on what I see. Like, YIKES. Oh dear.

Nah just liked your comment due to the first part, "If only it was so easy to make a grand plus in no time", And to think Brods would punt more than $1000 a pop. More like minimum 2k. Hey Galahs, I was talking about that particular race. Both drivers were being naughty, 1 could of dropped into trail e.g. Ferg or Whittaker could of just taken a trail. They had after all put what 8 lengths on the others. The are maidens horses & as I stated back after lockdown, (light training 2-3 laps) & over 2200m. That was my point. I def got that term kamikazi driving from you & I like it hence use it hehe 😁 They just went too long on with it, was it approx 600 metes that is way too long for me. 200 metres max 250 speed dualing is ok. The further you go the further the burn & that lactic acid builds up. Much harder to be in the finish. Over shorter distance its not so bad. But still hard on any horse. Then the driver just hands the reins back to the trainers for them to pick up the pieces over the next week or so. We could have new game, you & Davis can own each own a horse & race Karrots horse 😁 Then you & Davis horses can speed dual against each other like they did for 600 metres. Karrots horsey can just sit in behind & watch it upfront ahead, that would be fun. Yip 100% agree with you re, pointless chase after the field after a bad start.

Hey D, each to their own, if I was punting on either horse or an owner Id be pissed. And under strict instructions as an owner, you speed duel for lead like that, you won't get another drive. THE END. Especially when the horses are just returning back from racing after a lockdown of what was meant to be light jogging.
