Just quickly off the topic, you know how we get ads come up, every time for some weird reason I come on this particular thread, I get an ad that pops up saying Harness racing ownership is fun, affordable & exciting by Off n Racing. Saying heads of HRNZ are not held with LIABILITY simply just RESPONSIBILITY, should worst case scenario happen is not name-calling. Its a fact. Saying someone was slapped in the face, when it is a fact, is NOT name calling. Saying on this particular occasion (opinion only) they are not 100% clued up, because felt it’s a wrong decision. Is not name calling (& bearing in mind 80% of the time, have heaped praise on HRNZ & the leaders). Go figure. Then this immediate knee jerk Reaction. Green is allowed to publically call the handicappers imbeciles (name calling) BUT Karrots can’t say Teaz to commentate for Mana without repercussions. Shooting the messenger (publically call out as keyboard warriors) & simultaneously cull those they are trying to bring awareness to Poster Teaz. Simply shows to me. The truth hurts. It also highlights to me something else. Anyway moving on.

You know I have a story I could share its how I got interested in Harness. Its a memory & quite vivid. 2-3 years ago went to watch a friends horse they owned, but had muddled up start time for race & arrived on course after the race. Oppsey. So promised to go watch again. Went again & it ran (also ran). Still feeling a bit bad after missing its first race earlier as bold. Said hey “Ill come again & watch”. Went again & again it was (also ran). Thought well Im done, not going to go watch this horse again, but wanting to help friend, with little to no knowledge passed on my observation of what I saw. Said “think driver is moving too soon, next time, why not ask to get driver not to move so soon”. Next start unbeknown to me they tried that tactic & it worked. Horse placed & it placed at its next start same tactic, then won. Started to follow the horse. It ended up getting sold & my friend moved overseas. BUT Karrots was now interested. From There to Here.

Bit disappointing only 1/2 dozen peeps want to join on this positive thread & Poster M will no longer be posting. Shame. Thought possibly I was one of those they were talking about, with my commentator genade, followed up by making a prediction on Time-line by 2032 North would fall. Its opinion, not grenade tho. Solely based on how things stand as we speak today & think its a fair call. (HOPE THINGS CHANGE). On top of North currently in downward Freefall. Lincoln Farms is going 2027, meaning the lease is handed back to new owners. Junior drivers races in North at continued Freefall rate, will be lucky if they get 6 off the ground per season, by year 2026. Season 2021 had approx a dozen Jnr races North. Think its fair at this current rate based on that, to halve in 5 years to 6 races. Then 1/2 it again in another 5 years to 0 races. I am still in lockdown level 4. So still lots of time on hands. But started a positive thread - memories. Feel free anyone to join in.

That you are happy to share 🤗 Ranga you are pretty good with these sorts of things, same as Gamms 😃 I don’t have 1 yet worth sharing, BUT future tense going into winners circle for 1st time will be a big thrill. And looking forward to it one day 😃 Your experience could be about anything, about a horse, watching a race, grass track racing when you were on course, listening to a winner on radio, going to NZ Cup, a winning bet, a racecourse experience or 1 of a now shut down course, patting a horse, chatting with the help horse assistance person. Maybe riding in mobile, retiring a horse to saddle, memories of certain races & race courses. I dunno. Whatever. Brods, Poster M, Chief, WAD, Taupiri, Nowornever, Robalan, Mikey NZ anyone wanting to share feel free 😃

This was highlighted recently by a certain Oz site, just saw a snipe of article & the graph of plunge. Think from memory, may have this wrong, but it was at Meng & a Grimson horse was fav short priced fav, then Trainor horse plunged hard. Think recall you saying these peeps are mates, train together or something. Anyway yeah the original opened up hot fav, didn't win, the new fav won, that had opened at maybe 4-5th fav. Im not saying there was anything weird going on, what I am highlighting is that this journo specially pointed this out & wrote an article about it. So yes things like that do cause red flags for some.

Not sure what this means Ranga. Haven't thought of a topic to start yet ... was thinking maybe BOAY posters BEST memories. Like whats an experience/memory that they can vividly recall & enjoyed re racing, something positive or maybe funny.

Hey Spatchcock, Haha funny how things may look to some, Nah obviously in lockdown level 4 here, nothing going on, & as Teaz said it took him time to do, so just thought would check results. Was going to do a comparison too, with Trotech that was on HRNZ, but then thought nah if Teaz comes out on top, may look like Im just having a crack/dig so left it. Iv actually done a comparison before too, when we had a selections game & called the thread something like BOAY verse Experts & the 1st round Boayer's beat the experts. Spending time living in LA, peeps pass out compliments regularly & peeps accept compliments readily & easily. NZ is a different culture. Peeps seem to get embarrassed when a compliment is given. Laugh it off, go red faced, rather than just saying simply THANK YOU. And have to be humble, rather than say hey actually I back myself here. Iv got this. Anyway it is what it is. (Oh unless your Brods - “always on the money in his mind”) - which again I pointed out I digged his confidence. BTW see from the Chair a thing about keyboard warriors, What was written felt was a fair call by them. Had to laugh as what they wrote was actually right lol. Hope they weren’t meaning me tho. Prob 80% of time I say positive stuff about HRNZ. Having an opinion on 1 particular topic think they can improve on. Hope that doesn’t make me a keyboard warrior. Then again they maybe referring to others whom I would think are way more keyboard warriors than Karrots.
