Why do drivers do it. Announcers says “take a hat off to L W, for making the fav work". (Now Im not dissing LW put him on our BOAY hot list & have spoken out about him being a leading North Jnr Driver BUT dislike Kamikaze driving. ONLY ENDS 1 WAY USUALLY & THAT IS NOT WINNING. Another thing 1 noted. Commentator states the following: “To give you an idea of how far they have gone, it is a gap of 8 lengths” BUT NO lead up time. This is something I look for to understand & know exactly how fast they have run e.g. 41.4 or 40.4 but nothing was given. Don't want to run anyone down, as all trying their best Im sure, but an example of someone commentating that is NOT a specialist in HARNESS. Teaz think your 5 selections made the top 4, not in the particular order, however 4 of the 5 came in.

Chief, really no clue mate. Go take a look on the Thread that J Teaz started then called Cambridge selections. Clearly states his services are NO LONGER NEEDED. Re CCP again & my personal experience YOU HAVE NO CLUE.

Hey Jakh & Chief Yes he has gone missing, strangely enough, even tho he is “Always on the money in his mind” lol. But hey Karrots likes Brods regardless, he is like me a unique character 😄 Right Im going to go get a wine now, feeling the rage coming on lol. More than rage feel sick to my stomach. Am tempted to contact HRNZ myself, to their credit they have always been super cool & nice to me, I give them a 5 out of 5 credit rating to date. And I have spoken favourably of Woodham, unlike others on here. Im a bit surprised. Thought he was more approachable, transparent & open-minded to ideas. Without being offensive & they wonder why the ship is sinking & HARD & FAST in the NORTH. They need peeps in the game in these higher positions that have money in the game, more than just a share or 2 in a horse. Who cares about qualifications. Karrots has a degree. Not really a big deal. Need passion, + money in it, like its your own business. So Iv got this straight, its ok to take ideas for news stories from BOAY chat thread for HRNZ, but now if I Karrots makes a suggestion re a commentator, then within that SAME WEEK they FIRE their services from NOW, EVEN making FORM selections. Hi Teaz Pardon, Noticed that your selections were not up today re Cambridge. I sincerely hope I have not caused problems for you. This was never what Karrots intended. So BOAYs know what happened. I me, Karrots no one else, decided to start that thread the other day, re Teaz for Mana. I don’t even know Teaz, nor have I ever meet him. Reason I do not want to have the same commentator, whom I have said before I like as a commentator, no shade throw by me at all towards White. But ALL 3 locations is a bit muchie, muchie. Iv said this before. Plus I do NOT believe that having someone that is NOT a harness specialist is the best option, plus I don’t like the idea of having White commentating Mana from studio in Auckland. Back to story, So Teaz upon reading my thread, thought yes why not & goes ahead & contacts with TAB or whomever Karrots was unaware of this. But due to being meet with a cold response contacted me, 1st time ever, JUST to advise me, the thread is going NOWHERE, maybe even to ease up. Nothing more nothing less. Teaz is a private person & not a lot of details were really discussed. Other than I questioned when the correspondence took place in which he advised me that day. I took note of the slap in face & TIGHT BUDGET THING. So I said DONT GIVE UP HOPE. This saddens me Teaz. Im so sorry to hear this. I have a few horses now. 1 I own in full. If I don’t sell it & race it, I will most likely contact you to be the trainer, maybe we could sort out a 50/50 deal that works for us both 😁

Selections game - 3rd Sept - Addington + Cambridge place punting You have $3000, you must select 3 horses, each horse will get an imaginary $1000 fixed place bet on it. You must advise at time of selections what these odds are of your 3 selected. Horses to be chosen can be either Addington or Cambridge or both. Winner is the person with the highest amount back over all 3 bets. Must return over $3000. Shall place my selections tonight if not tomorrow morning. Brods will you make a special guest appearance 😄 ?

Chief only said that to Brods as out of 4 recent threads Iv started, he hijacked 3 with politics. Its fine when peeps do it occasionally, as I do it too sometimes. But when its 75% of the time & on politics not racing, hence I pointed it out. Im still unsure about the answer to question re Tight Budget, but why would they communicate this to Teaz as recent as in the past few days, well to be factual the day I started up this thread! Last thought for an idea without giving up hope, just right now, if it was me, I would approach Mana Club & offer discounted training on 1 horse for them, they have got 2 so far that they syndicate. This horse to be aimed at Mana meetings. Could even help them with searching for a 3rd horse on Gavel or thru contacts. Not much else to do atm in level 3-4. Have to approach with a give/take, Hopefully if get their backing re on condition you be their commentator 21/22. Then go to HRNZ, tell them you have the backing of Mana & you would like to return to the commentator box 21/22 Mana. Then if get HRNZ backing too, then go back to TAB. If along the way, you are meet with a hostile response, or not reasonable response if it is negative, I would then reconsider your long term future in the game.

So did they not give the excuse that Covid was for the lay-offs early last year, however with or without Covid they were in the poop or lost money on that website as it cost heaps or something along those lines. That is what I am referring too. You make a good point. Im really not up with the play with TAB, BUT Karrots is no fraud & this is the recent reasoning given currently for no Teaz to do Mana 21/22. Yes that is on this thread re TAB & also when someone brought up on another thread re Saturdays, altho actually for that one I was more putting that 1 down to the gallops peeps (can't be trusted). Have not brought up TAB at all, nope don't think so, with exclusion to once when concurred with you that android ph did not bring up TAB website. I am not an expert & NOT sure exactly where ALL issues, however I am under the impression that on this particular occasion it was communications with TAB or a representative of, not HRNZ. Understand you for whatever reason don't care for Woodham. Think recall you mentioning he used to work at TAB or something, when that website was done millions spent. Why would I write to HRNZ about this. Oh dear, read about the storm that passed thru Auks, not last nite but nite prior. You know Iv never really been that afraid of lightening & thunder, BUT was texting with a friend & said to them crap the lightening/thunder just stopped the heat pump (had probs with it for rest of nite, but its back fine now & it flickered the TV - lights etc. Text friend saying how this is scary stuff. Woke up in morning to read flooding in Auks & horse rescues took place. 1 was T Hopkins recused a harness horse. Wonderful animal welfare. Wonder where the Stuff MVB story is on it … made TVNZ news. *** Back to topic, now peeps Chief, Brods thoughts on this? Want to be clear & most likely like yourself never meet Teaz, Im informed that he was proactive & made contact with TAB to advise of his availability & how has been doing Puke workouts pretty much volunteering TIME, approx 2 hours driving time + commentating, they pay for his gas costs. Which is nice of them & keeps his experience up - not running down Puke. Point Im raising is TAB have come back with a slap in face. Have these people never trained in Communications? Or taken a Communications class at Uni? No Thank you for your time in getting in contact & reaching out. No Thank you for your previous duties/services & efforts for us. No Thank you for your passion & desire towards the industry. No thank you for supporting the industry & the area with taking horses down to CD & grass track meetings. No, we will bear this in mind should our situation change. Shockingly dismissive attitude & treatment towards a former staff member, whom like others simply lost job due to Covid. Not for ill wrong doing reasons. I feel sad for Teaz. PRETTY MUCH JUST White will be doing the commentating from his studio in Auckland, should TAB need this to happen because this is BRILLIANT. And other people in area that do other codes that are already on contract, BUT key word here, DO not specialise in Harness will do anything else. (Peeps that are not aware, no-one would be losing their job should Teaz take up a temp short term independent contract to do Mana season 21/22). What would happen however is someone would be on-course at ALL times to commentate & someone would do the TAB Form guide & could help with social media & could possibly help with the odd transport of other trainers horses when they are stuck to go to Mana. Also it would be a break from White White White, doing Auks, Waikato, & Mana which I find too repetitive doing ALL of them, since the usual Mana commentator J Evans left Mana. REASONING - TIGHT BUDGET. Iv tried to encourage Teaz to not give up the fight. Approach Manawatu & put forward a proposal to them e.g. truck thing, nom-ing horses and/or supporting with social media or even HRNZ. Also get Puke onboard & also Chief you too to represent BOAY. To re-put forward a proposal with peers signatures in support (stronger in numbers). But I don’t want to push too much. So will leave it at this. From Brods experience & now Teaz & also this NO Saturday thing, when HRNZ recently put forward to them, but clearly got the big fat NO. Im starting to form an impression of TAB & their attitude towards Harness & Harness peeps. Oh yes & that initially weird - annoying website that was created that cost millions yet I could never load on phone. (Can load it now works fine after approx 1 year). And I recall reading when Guerin lost his job too re Covid last year, he reached out offered to work FOC, but was meet with a slap in the face too! A reminder that under Alert level 4 light exercise is permitted on the grounds of animal welfare, and a trainer will know how much exercise is needed for an individual horse so that they are kept calm and in a good mental state. However under Alert 3 full training of your horses is allowed. Right Im logging off for nite folks. Nite all.

Speaking of Cambridge, the meeting this week at Cambridge, GREAT news, HRNZ have DONE WELL, go them - credit were credit is due & negotiated that now horses can travel out in level 4 to race in level 3. This means those Auk horses can start at Camb this week.

Yes Teaz was the only 1 that beat Karrots in our BOAY selecting comp. Karrots was not happy with this lol. It was Cambridge one. The 1 where Karrots was on Majestic Man & teaching ALL about those Cambridge corners. Cracked me up a bit come Jewels day when Dunn on Need You Know, foot down and what 6 wide, kept ploughing forward to the lead. He knew. Had the tip, those Camb corners over a MILE. Got to get to the front.
