Absolutely, as Fitzgerald doesn’t seem interested to participate in this chat so taking a quick glance, have come up with the REASON to add him. His eldest are 4 y-os in which he had just 65 live foals, 33 qualifiers from this crop - 27 starters & 18 winners. His 3 y-o crop comprises of 39 live foals & within this, has had 8 starters for 5 winners. At NZD 3,000 + GST for those looking for a low cost investment The Terror could be your Sire.

Just reading on HRNZ site this - excellent stuff HRNZ - YES push for Saturday - Saturday - Saturday. That means the Thursday meetings at Auckland and Winton will not go ahead and that Friday's meeting at Addington will also be cancelled however HRNZ are working with the TAB to see if this meeting could be transferred to a Saturday day meeting. HRNZ will provide an update on this tomorrow.

This is true, other than his TAB account balance taking a massive hit due to restrictions (potential earning loss), now with Lockdown plenty of time day & nite to swan around on BOAY re-announcing "Im restricted, Im restricted" hehe. BTW Poster M, I already know you are Poster M. Or were you like inside at home on computer posting, then quickly like oh crap need to go to supermarket, get some loo paper. Then at supermarket & only have other account to like log-in on phone, so post at supermarket from ph. Then back home, back on computer, then like post again.

Kate Gath is harness racing’s Jamie Kah
Karrotsisback replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
Fake news my ass Forbury. This pic, shows she has a nice smile, nice eyes, so yes will go on our Hot BOAY list. And yes the LADIES are kicking it EVERYWHERE in FACT, as I pointed out on another thread, the NZ ladies were responsible for bringing in the majority haul of GOLD Medals! I also understand over in your neck of the woods, Aussies were singing & dancing to the praise of a FEMALE swimming athlete whom won more Gold medals than our own Carrington (again the later a female)! This lass Gath as per the article won a Metropolitan driving title = ladies kicking it everywhere. The above was exactly as my posts reflects. Not fake news. -

Da ladies still kicking it everywhere 😄 Wait, actually she can also go on our hot list too 🔥 -
Good question, no idea, sounds possible tho along with maybe a combination of a few things. The only thing I could think is maybe also horse numbers? (The sires themselves have to be decent to produce even from high numbers). Eg SBSW highest he served in NZ was 88 that was in 2014. His numbers were 16, 13, 1, 75, 88, 35, 87, 76, 70, 5, 0, 0 From 2010 - 2021 Bettors on other hand served during this time period 160, 327, 301, 330, 250, 301, 289, 299, 194, 143, 164, 171 That is a lot more hoof soliders to fly the flag. Vance Hanover Gamms pointed out on another thread said he became a great sire in NZ, Purdon also pointed this out in the video I shared, based on what Gamms said he was pumping them out lots of lil hoof soldiers. Lou served 86, 90, 122, 229, 214, 106 - from 2016 - 2021 Live foals 167 will be 2y/o Jan & starting to hit the track. Compared with Bettors 2019 served 149 live 105. Be interesting to see whose hoof soldiers come out on top between the 2 sires (Lou-Bettors) for that age group year. If there is any change or not ...

Wow didn’t realise Majestic Son was only $5k, will add & Laz for your reasons given - NZD7,500 + GST. Will also add Vincent too on behalf of Poster M. Reason Feiss is supporting Vincent, so might be lucky enough to have her bid on your Vincent at next yearling sale NZD4,500 + GST & aren’t they fine looking animals. Shall be a wait & see if they do the business on the track. Captain Crunch can also get the nod, NZD6,500 as he’s nephew of Sweet Lou. His dam is Lou’s sister. Great dam side that family. Both Lou and Lous dam are in Hall of Fame in USA. NB looks like as per Alabar website both Miki & Captain Crunch books are closed & full. Noms so far as below: Sweet Lou 7.5k Always B Miki 7.5k Downbytheseaside 6k Lazarus 7.5k Vincent 4.5k Captain Crunch 6.5k Majestic Son 5k Wonder if the sire that eventually dethrones Bettors is on our list ...

Right you are there Gospel knew it was a sire just wasn't 100% sure which. Great you bounced over here to check-in, into this convo. Speaking of Fitzgerald, just noticed this good write up article about him out today & what he is doing to help attract new owners etc. https://www.hrnz.co.nz/news/fitzgerald-out-to-make-a-difference/ This is also mentioned in article - (This has also led to managing McDonald Bloodstock Limited who own Terror To Love). So noms are open for the next 48 hours for BOAY value for money sires pacers & trotters. Have to give a reason why to be included on the list. If low noms then Ill add another or maybe you Gospel or Gamms.

Opps meant 21/22 stallions. Thanks WAD for contributing & Roman. Was wondering about some trotting sires. Who we could add to list ... ? Anyone anyone. Wonder if Speeding Spurs offspring will have his stretch the neck out thing too hehe. Think maybe Fitzgerald you maybe the promotor or helping promote the sire the 1 that won the Jewels Sky Major is it ... ? Might have that wrong not sure ... Feel free to give him a plug here, if there is anything you deem worth to report e.g. horses are looking good or something ... or a pic.

A good video if anyone is interested to watch. On Woodlands 20/21 stallions. Interviews with Purdons, Dunns, Dalgety, Telfer etc. Actually Dalgety passed on news that Fabrizio is off to race in Canada now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-etDnxOBOA&t=715s

Ok roger that. Sneaky sneaky the article leading Karrots to believe Miki wasn't performing. So lets do a value for money BOAY list re sires here are our nominations so far any other noms out there? * Sweet Lou (NZD7,500 + GST) * DownbytheSeaSide (NZD6,000 + GST) * Always B Miki (NZD7,500 + GST)

Yes super sad, read she lived in Camb so it may have been her at Jewels. Same thing happened to a friends son, mentioned it on another thread, got selected for team, had both jabs, thought was going til approx 1-2 weeks before the rest of team went. That is what mum told me. Very heartbreaking for those individuals. Iv just said "so Paris 2024", to try and stay positive for him. Read an article on Aus site not long ago about a participate re mental health & how its affected him via training, how he used to judge his self worth from how many winners he got or not. He saw someone about this, I think from memory it said. Nowadays it doesn't effect him. Sorry folks we have switched away from topic. Its maybe not a bad topic thread we could start up Gamms ... re harness how it may or may not effect trainers/drivers ...

Hey WAD Thanks for reply & input, Actually don’t follow USA racing much or at all, had just seen this PP website so took a peak & noted this article in keeping with topic. No idea then where this author got these stats from, my post was re Miki doesn’t come in top 20 was based on it. Maybe the author is posting fake news … ?? Yes agree Downbytheseasside currently seems to be value for money.
-
Hehe, no Gamms not our hot list, but I am in the thought of let people be who they want to be, it doesn’t effect me their decision. Hey was that olympic cyclist that tragically passed recently, at the Jewels in the Sports Bar? One of my mates I was there with was sure that she was, otherwise someone that looked exactly like her & was going to go chat with her, however we bounced off to another area so didn’t get the chance. So sad.

Looks like it is still NZD7,500 + GST in NZ atm. IMO they should not put it up. As he still lacks numbers with star quality. From his oldest crop yes had Sweet On Me, top filly her year as 2 y-o & Spirit is his top 4y/o boy, whom would be in say top 4-6 ish age group boys. Feel free BOAY posters to post here, if you have a fav sire or 1 you have noticed as being good current value for money and why 😄 Lou is currently good value for money as one would have a reasonable expectation if owned a Lou to win a maiden within 1st, 6 starts. After that is up in air with how far each horse will go.

The answer is given in R1 Learners heat - being Lacy Linda - Dam Linda Lovegrove. Interesting fun fact there Gamms re Vance Hanover!

Fab idea Dougie. Def think MORE ENTERTAINMENT inbetween races is needed. Went to 1 of those rugby matches this weekend. They had pump the crowd up type music playing in stands, when there was time out. And at 1/2 time they had a fun relay race. 3 teams made up of all ages, young kids, teenagers & adults. Positioned in the middle of field. It was a sprint relay & entertaining/fun to watch. Break was only 10-15 ish mins too, oppose 20-30 mins. So by time watched that, & then popped off to get hot dog/chips/drink was back in time for the main rugby action. Def think this big break with No or Low entertainment in-between all races is a big PUT OFF in this day and age for on-track race attendance. Mentioned it on another thread. Agree with all posters here keep Dominion Day as is separate.

Was wondering what you peeps were talking about, so took a peak at Mon Waikaouiti Feb 2018 & wait Karrots thinks while watching, what are they up to? Were they foreshadowing the 2020 NZ Cup. Gamms fun fact test for you 😄 Which horse was a embryo transplant? Didn't realise there was such a thing with race horses yet. Tip you can get the answer by watching replays of workout/trials Auckland this weekend 😄

Yeah know what you mean re debatable, however like talking about horses or things noticed or up & coming races, yearling sales, stallions, commentators anything about the horses. Noticed this site called peterprofit.com as someone on gallops posted about it. Took a peak & its certainly no holds bar, Keeping with topic an article titled “Was Always B Mikis 1st Crop A Fluke? Follows up with Stats USA. 1st Downbytheseaside 2nd Capaintreacherous 3rd Huntsville 4th Lou - (actually need to add Lancewood Louie also my initial list after win at start 6)! 5th American Ideal 6th Betting Line Miki doesn’t come in Top 20 Latest article writer says "Harness NSW should lock themselves up as says they have filmed themselves breaking Covid law" & posted a pic/video. There is another 1 about an Oz driver appearing in Court & another article about a NZ trainer which I found a bit disturbing IF its true. There is also 1 about Wigg, no follow up yet. Now no-one shoot the messenger here, Im replying to Brods quote re debatable topics, this website is public & a BOAY gallops poster, posted about it recently (hence alerted me to it). Plenty of things from that website Brods for you to debate lol.

Latest update, Sugar Apple gets added to list (JUST). Yay for Sugar at start 6! Wont give a running commentary on this, but wanted to add him after that whole Jewels run! Right Im going to log off for a few days, as just talking to myself here which ain’t as much fun. Nite all.

Wow see what you mean there Teaz. So White is sick today, but no call up to fill in. I better not say anything more on this or I might get into trouble too sheezz. Politics hey. Dislike office politics they are the worst. Ouch. Ok moving on.

HRNZ Halfway Through Finalising New Racing Calendar!
Karrotsisback replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
Ok so maybe the logistics of entertainers being in the middle of track be too difficult. But could always make up an entertainment area. Something for general ticket holders to be entertained with. At Jewels for e.g. at the back they had a DJ set up by food truck area. Which I thought was great when walking past hearing the beats. Only prob tho was weather/rain & not many peeps in that area to enjoy the sounds. I personally don’t really go to the track anymore. Find it a bit boring in between races waiting. Prefer to watch on TV at home, so during wait time, can do whatever want include entertainment jumping on BOAY. Cheerleaders for example could be implemented to be fun. Could have each wear the colours of each horse in race for the big race. And just prior they hit the track, the cheerleaders could perform a cheer dance. Perhaps even the cheerleader with the winning colours on could go & take a photo with the owners & horse. Make it more vibrant & entertaining. Much easier sell to peeps saying there is entertainment too in-between the races! For a big North meeting, think something like this is worth a crack. On a day meeting in summer. Might end up being cheesy & a flop, or on the flip side could be a great hit! (PS at basketball Breakers & even LA Lakers when they were around and NZ ANZ netball premiership games - they have entertainment in-between times. Eg cheerleaders, mascot, someone from audience taking a shot at the goal to win money, Japanese drum players kind of thing & so on - moral of story they keep the peeps entertained!). -

Just making up for my time on the sidelines so getting posts in 😁 Another idea - as they asking for feedback, in between some races e.g. from race 3 to say 6 have some live entertainment at those big meetings e.g. Jewels or New Years Eve or whatever others you are trying to really promote & push that has big on-crowd numbers. A performance that lasts max 5 mins prior next race horses hitting the track, straight after a race has been run. Have stage and everything set up ready and acts perform on it. They would need to have a rehearsal prior of course. Doesn’t have to cost much. Can get young groups that would love the exposure to live perform in front of a big crowd or perhaps wants the practice. (Cheerleaders, hip-hop groups, a singer, dancer, Latin performers, etc also gets the younger generation interested - keeps them entertained). They could be in middle of the track & cameras on them & drones to show up on big screen & beam into all the rooms - lounges where peeps are. Some peeps at Jewels 1st time race goers were asking me how long between each race. Could tell they were getting impatient. So get some entertainment for them. Also distractions from peeps just solely getting plastered.
