I take it the purchaser is the trainer and it’s seems that the issue with the horse happened 2 to 3 months after the sale on the auction site, so how much time do you want as being a horse owner myself one would surmise that the said horse would have been kept in work but just had a change of stable. The onus is on the buyer to check out the horse, but to complain 2 to 3 months after the sale don’t think so. Maybe the current trainer had something to do with the issue. Looks like someone’s trying to get out of paying the previous owner the remaining monies owed on the horse.

Further to this issue, when did the purchaser notice there was an issue . Like the next day coming off the float, a week, a month or 3 months. And one would imagine the purchaser would have been working the horse , so how long has this horse been in work for the new trainer before there’s an issue.

I would have thought the buyer is at fault, why would you buy a horse without a vet giving it the once over. Anyone with a semblance of intelligence would get a horse checked out before you buy , you don’t go and buy a house without looking and checking it out or buying a car you take it for a drive and give it a going over buy the aa or a mechanic . Pritty straight forward stuff.

The Management and Board have failed everyone involved in Greyhound Racing except for Lisa and Brendon Cole . What they need to understand is that the industry is bigger than the Coles , it will survive without them and will flourish once they are delt with by the authorities . It is hard to fathom why you would want to protect these kind of people , the Coles could solely bring Greyhounds to its knees . It seems Brendon Cole has now threatened to slit Steven McInerney throat . So what’s next. You get the feeling someone is going to lose there life in this fiasco . Thank you Greyhounds New Zealand for the leadership you have shown . Gutless springs to mind

She is on the board so why shouldn’t her position be up for discussion , they are all guilty of just sitting on their hands. Everyone of them

Yes back to the initial question , all codes turn up for a meeting except the Greyhounds . From the outside looking in you get given the impression there only in the job to keep their seat warm and collect their wage on a Thursday , why work when you can get by without doing anything. This also applies to the current Board , $ 46,000 per board member for what . I guess that would buy many guinea pigs

If the amount of Cole dogs that have been dying either during or after the race then you would suspect it could be either one of two things Arsenic or Strychnine , they have been around forever . Phar Lap died under mysterious circumstances and was thought to be either Arsenic or Strychnine. If Cole is using these products then he’s a desperate man. In 2018 they are very easy to test for , but it’s the old question do the RIU want to go there. Dont think so

Refusing to wear a tie is a choice Aquaman made, and good on him for that something he believes in and stands by. In regard to your comment regarding drugged dogs and baiting you just can’t compare them All I will say is a dose of credibility is urgently needed by Board and Management to address those issues , unfortunately there’s not an once of that showing at the moment . Won’t be holding my breath on that .

No what did make me laugh is you paying your fine, and then thinking you would get your license back. Hell would burn over before that happens.

I happened to go to the Racing Board Meeting held yesterday in Christchurch. Of course it was chaired by John Allen and it was regarding on what was happening within the three codes of racing on how and were they are heading The Throughbred and Harness representatives were there in person but the “ Greyhounds “ were represented by an empty “ Chair “. It just shows the lack of direction or ignorance towards the job they are employed to do. I feel very sorry for the licence holders as there chance of having an industry that is going to survive in today’s world is Nil To be brutally honest the chances of Greyhounds racing in the future is over going by the lack of authority within your Industry. The perfect example is this Lisa Cole fiasco, it states in the Greyhound Rules :- no baiting live or dead. Roughly 12 months gone bye and nothing. Maybe it’s time all the licence holders look at employing a lawyer to get the Management and Board into the Courts to instruct them to follow the “ Rule Book “ This is the only chance that I can see of survival. New Board and Management is crucial looking ahead

Aquaman, the only way she got involved in this grubby business would be her dad wanting her to help out. Im reliablely informed Naiomi didn’t want too.

I have known Trev well for over 30 years but it is clearly time to pull the plug as that was a bloody shocker and those calls are coming more frequently. Sorry Trev good bloke but that doesn’t cut it. To be honest there’s only one person you would call a race caller and that’s Brian Martin who of course was unceremoniously dumped by Rosonowski and to be honest his calls are worse than Trevs.

Bigjay. He threatened to slit S McInerney throat, was heard by Stipendiry Steward and a number of witnesses and it is in the hands of the RIU. There lies the problem Threatening to kill can carry a 7 year jail sentence. Some high flying businessmen from P North got scammed and hence the court proceedings for fraud. But wait there’s more

Aqua. Yes is in a very sad state of affairs and unfortunately the dogs are going to be the big losers. im sorry to say but there appears to a lot more bad news coming out, and it’s all like it’s out of one kennel.. Threatening to cut someone’s throat, this should be in the hands of the Police Seems to be up on a charge of Fraud Talk about out of control and of course a 10 month investigation into live and dead baiting Whats next ? Where’s The Management when it’s needed. Unfortunately it’s being run by a kennel and his backer

Chequer Board was certainly my favourite, I think he may have bought him from another stable to race himself.
-
No that’s why I ask the question, I’m not aware of what is happening in this case but would like to know. As to asking about Mr Godber I have heard him on several occasions being interviewed by P Earley on the radio trackside and he is not what you would call open to discussing about the Dunn case or for that matter any case under investigation by the RIU.
-
Can anyone enlighten us on where this drama is going or gone, has he appealed the fine?? Sad thing about this whole affair everyone’s guilty except them , clearly won’t take any responsibility to what happens in their stable.. What does make matters worse is trying to get a comment from M Godber is like extracting teeth with a tooth pick

Just on another note, those photos on this site those hares are still alive- there ears are pricked up and the guy in the red top is holding the hind legs so it’s certainly alive and kicking at the time of the photo temporarily of course

Don’t know what it is with this kennel but they have been underinvestergation for the last 10 or 11months by the SPCA and now there seems to be a threat to slit someone’s throat. Threatening to kill is a criminal offence with a period of 3 to 7 years at the governments luxury accommodation resorts . What does worry me is the lack of leadership shown by Management and Board to address what could become fatal towards the survival of the Greyhound. You have to ask why there is a CEO and Board because what is being dished up is unexceptable to the participants in this sport, sadly they are sailing down the river without a paddle.
