  1. Au contaire mon ami it's because WE CARE Old school types like yourself may want to continue the olde boys network but we have years ahead and as Curious points out The young generation can see through the b/s and the nod and wink 'judicial' process that goes on
  2. Was going well...nek minute gonnne?? Still riding work at Mutts I see and still apprenticed to Te Akau?? Other interests??
  3. Exactly, but it looks like it's going to a continuation of the same minus the flank whipping Which they got embarrassed into ...finally accepting after signing up four lonnnnggg years ago and declined to initially adopt Horses being continuously hit for 30 strikes, no matter how hard, is a constant unfair reminder to try harder No wonder Sammy is having a super last 4 years since the new whip rules of non compliance were actioned
  4. Unfortunately the RIB's pathetic argument was accepted after further report were submitted to the Coroner Of course the 'judicial' systems look after their own and ignore the actual fact that riding into horses aka 'competitive riding' is highly dangerous and shouldn't have been taken as the accepted norm. Massive black mark to the Coroner
  5. And just to finish off the expert jockey evidence and how the aggressive riding caused the tragic death and not the slight 'interference' Kim Clapperton "I believe that Denby was always a length in front of Kavish so that Kavish had to steer his mount outwards quite abruptly from behind her and made contact with Megan Taylor’s mount. At that point Kavish Chowdhoory “should” have taken a hold, evaluating the situation, that there was no room for him, but chose to kick up very aggressively to try and hold his spot. As a senior rider I would have expected him to ease the pressure and take a hold instead of adding more pressure to the situation. I feel he chose to look after himself instead of his fellow riders. " This is where Stipe Oatham disagreed with these very experienced senior jockeys and basically talked a load of b/s "He said that Mr Chowdhoory was committed to take the gap and was forced outwards onto Ms Taylor’s mount, which set up a chain reaction. He concluded that Mr Chowdhoory was not required to ease because he was committed to the run and he done so he could have clipped heels." So anyone watching the horrific vide ( obviously including these very experienced jockeys) could tell the aggressive forceful riding was Kavish trying to win the race, NOT as Oatham said 'committed and could've clipped heels' Pftt, wtf is worse, riding into 3 other horses at 45 degrees or pulling back in the unlikely event he'd clip heals? Which would've have resulted in "looking after his fellow riders" Ask yourself, not John Oatham
  6. What a shocking waste of a good track, especially in winter when punters have to put up with the cess pit at Whanganui in a single lane potential dwath trap is the arsonist out on how detention by now or did he get a wet bus ticket for a sentence Te Teko was another wanton waste of a good track, especially in winter NZTR still have 'issues' with racing Foxton?
  7. Great personality and fantastic person for the game but let's not mince words like the fawning Commos at ENTAIN 'media' do "wow, what an amazing last few years she's had" Here's how and a very simple case of cheating that the Magoo's at the RIB turn a blind eye to It's the continuous use of the whip while pretending to 'show the whip' which gives the horse a constant reminder of what they're there for...in consecutive strikes One could call them 'half strikes' but nevertheless, if not against the RIB's idea of the 'rules', it's certainly against the spirit of @10 strikes allowed Watch the head on below off the trail and in Chris Wood's stable yellow colours and you'll count @30 constant contacts, largely on the horse's highly sensitive flank...soon to be outlawed...BUT not Spratt's consecutive strikes Joe Doyle is another one albeit a different method with a very strong flex that also strikes in consecutive strikes It's CHEATING, but not as the RIB MAGOO's knows it
  8. "not everyone is sufficiently intelligent to be able to see things from the right point of view" What Don said
  9. So I've made a few inquiries The 'Judge' is employed by the RIB The photo finish operator aka as The Time keeper is employed by the club This is how it played out as Operator times the race to 1000th'/sec and cant find a margin 'Judge' informs the operator he's to draw 2 lines down his pik so it looks as if there's a nose margin Operator reluctantly draws the fake lines 'Judge' then sends his own made up times to 100th/sec to nztr..finding a .01 sec fake margin and then adjusts the visual margin to 0.2L rather than the usual nose 0.1L Presumably trying to indicate how big his version of the fake nose was Just like Pinocchio And the HOPELESS RIB thinks Nothing more needs to be said...move on #pfftt
  10. I've watched the video many times and agree with David Walsh's take "In Mr Walsh’s opinion, Mr Kavish Chowdhoory caused the interference not Ms Tait who in his view had been “thrown under the bus.” [47] Having viewed the race films Mr Walsh took the view it was Mr Chowdhoory who made the deliberate inward movement when there was no gap for him. He was partially behind Ms Tait’s mount and it was impossible for him not to make contact with MISS PEARL who had blinkers on and turns its head out without noting its line. Any contact would have had an effect on her. Ms Tait tried to balance her horse but the pressure on its hind quarters forced it out. [48] Mr Walsh said that “Mr Chowdhoory put himself there. Referring to the race films he contended that there was a bump “just for a stride”. He said that it was only marginal and MISS PEARL’S head turns. He said that it was his belief that Mr Chowdhorry’s horse has made contact with MISS PEARL’S hindquarters, and this has caused her to turn her horse out. He added that she turned out because she was trying to regain her balance Mr Walsh would not have done that if he had been riding and believes if Mr Chowdhoory had not put his horse there this accident would not have happened. He said that “I wouldn’t have put myself there – I would have eased and waited for a gap”. He reiterated at that if Mr Chowdhorry had backed off none of this would have happened. " It's the accepted way to ride here though 'Competitive riding' aka allowing horses to be used as dodgems, steering into others to make gaps The rule needs to be changed in this circumstance to.. RECKLESS riding..a month off minimum and this playing with other jockeys lives will soon end
  11. Exactly... Here's Noel Harris's take on the extreme tightening "Denby’s mount has stepped out in the straight taking the line of Kavish Chowdhoory. Kavish has continued to ride his mount aggressively to “hold his line.” Although Kavish was entitled to be where he was in the running, with experience you learn to evaluate the risk involved in making these decisions and ease the pressure. Had Kavish eased his mount and not continued to push forward, the outcome would have been different." Oatham said Kavish was entitled to ride forward as easing and pulling back would have put him in a dangerous position What turned out far more dangerous and put his fellow riders at risk then? In his last CR charge the adjudicative panel commented the video evidence clearly showed that Mr Chowdhoory moved inwards when only one horse-length clear of SHEZAHAPPYONE, falling short of the required two-length clearance. Ms Lindsay’s vigorous calling and the fact that she was checked for several strides, further emphasise the severity of the interference. Mr Chowdhoory’s riding record is considered an aggravating factor. The Adjudicative Committee notes a concerning pattern of Mr Chowdhoory not exercising due care during races, which is essential for the safety of both horses and Riders. Still doing it! How long until it sinks in to 'take due care of fellow riders'?
  12. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/coroner-closes-case-of-promising-young-jockey-killed-in-horror-race-crash/DK7OI3WALZBT5DDTE7PUZ2LKXU/ Quite surprising this. The expert evidence of the likes of David Walsh and Kim Clapperton was very damning on certain aspects of so called 'normal' riding standards. "riding without due care for other riders" stuck out for one. This comes under the guise of 'competitive riding' and the accepted practise of making room for oneself aka as riding into other horses Highly dangerous to both horse/jockey imho
  13. Does it there as well March 2023 Jockey Opie Bosson might have won a Group 1 on Friday night — but what the hell was he thinking? The same goes for Nash Rawiller. Have both of these world-class jockeys been hiding under a rock for the past three weeks? There were two separate and dangerous incidents Bosson and Rawiller were responsible for in the Group 1 William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night. Both jockeys have been rightfully suspended for 11 and 12 meetings respectively. Both incidents could have easily caused two falls; they were just lucky that didn't happen. Under the circumstances, Bosson and Rawiller should have been rubbed out for longer. Given what's happened in Victoria over the past three weeks — separate falls leaving Jamie Kah, Craig Williams, Ethan Brown and Teo Nugent with serious injuries — one would have thought our jockeys would play by the rules. Opie and Nash — perhaps ironically — aren't Victorian-based jockeys. Whoever in Victoria is dealing with these jockeys before they ride needs to read them the riot act. It's a simple message: "Your white line fever could cost someone's life." The same message needs to be sent to jockeys right around Australia. Racing Victoria CEO Andrew Jones is the boss of racing in Victoria. Brian Kruger is the chairman. Both of them need to make a stand on this issue. Not tomorrow. Today. If they don't, Jones and Kruger are in the wrong jobs. Strong leadership, not only from Victoria but from all racing bodies around Australia, will save lives. Right now, money and glory in racing doesn't matter. Human lives are far more important.
  14. His namesakes race of course Watch the overhead on Whey In to see his deliberate move into Hudson
  15. Archer's too tight to pay Lichter a brass razoo Before the Kremiln's ENTAIN took over Guerin was pretty much rooting for the punter Now he's got his own show all he does is mouth the Communist ENTAIN narrative of what's good for the Dictator is good for him... and stuff the proletariat
  16. Open your eyes Magoo He'd ALREADY ducked in 2 widths BEFORE he started his bashathon Weirdly racing follows the law of totality let off with the 2nd interference because the 'law' is an ass And you know ass when you choose to see it
  17. Just a big nod here to both De Lore and Lichter, THE only racing journos not in the pocket of the Commie Kremlin lovers ENTAIN Has ANY ENTAIN 'journo' mentioned the total lack of RIB action over this debacle?? Not on your nelly
  18. it was his last CR charge BEFORE he had his contract terminated Te Akau tolerating a contracted employee "without remorse or contrition" in a highly dangerous occupation is an extremely bad look
  19. Did she purposely steer (aka 'competitive riding' aka 'highly dangerous to both horse/jockeys') her mount into Willo as Opee has? Yea na This CR nonsense is ingrained into the Kiwi jockey narrative and contributed to the deaths of 2 Kiwi jockeys last year Have you read the damning evidence of David Walsh and Kim Clapperton and the "lack of due care to fellow jockeys" in the death of Megan Taylor?
  20. 'Lifestyle'= style of life Many employment contracts include 'morality' clauses An organisation like TA work hard to maintain high standards and someone under contract acts in a manner contrary to those high standards For example many organisations include forbidding work place relationships as part of a 'morality' clause Bosson's latest wrap sheet for carelessness said "Mr Bosson’s record is troubling for a senior, very experienced and prominent Rider. It has to be taken into account also, as aggravating. He did not contend, or seek, any discount for admitting the breach and in any event, none would have been granted, as any defence would have been futile, and he did not express any remorse or contrition" In knocking out the chances of 2 horses he showed reckless disregard for his fellow riders TA shouldn't have to put up with that nonsense..and they didn't
  21. Take a wild guess iron stain
  22. Can't you read? "contract ended" Coded SACKED When one CANT hold up their end...one gets SACKED from the other end Couldn't be relied on when required NOT when available on his terms Your "change in his contract" on his NO contract is extinct Like the dead parrot Squawk on though
  23. Guerin "But this time it got so serious, his role as retained jockey for Te Akau ended, with a business of that size needing jockeys when they require them, not when they are available. So, Bosson is technically freelance for the first time in years" Nothing to do with weight... everything to do with 'lifestyle' and whims/whams
  24. So Rodders gets a call up to Whey In and proceeds to milk Bosson/McNab for all they're worth "Opie bullied Hudson...she's been exposed 3 wide...Opee an absolutely perfect ride" Gee...anyone know who manages Bosson/McNab by any chance?
