  1. They suggested a programming of average races midweek and turning it into a family barbie day, leaving the Saturdays to genuine superior horses and superior first boaters who went to Christs College and Rangi Ruru, with the added benefit of a meet and greet to create a new racing generation of superior citizens That's sans hoi polloi riff raff and Coasters, who should stick to their side of the range. Besides they're too busy destroying the environment nowdays
  2. "work' means the fastest last 200m of the day beating all coming sprinters even David may have given Ben a tingle and suggested he does what his father did before him When I was chatting to Colin in a well known stud farm's G & T Bar at the Trentham sales circa 1982, it turns out he was, if not the first, certainly one of the first to introduce Blinkers to Australia See if you can get a connection to the spirit world if you want confirmation or maybe ask Davo and/or Benny, who are PROPER horsemen Good luck
  3. Well he may not be a lume BUT good olde CS for a start
  4. Excellent comments on Weigh In today with Jane & Emily giving the CJC a good old slap around for living in the past with ZERO 'jen a cest qous' A lonnnng day of very average races interspersed with Black Type Would Vacuous Vlandys program Maiden races on a G1 day and think "tradition is the way forward and we must protect the right of maideners to have their day in the sun" #yeana And then they said "it's like Presidente for life Trumpbar nutbar saying "I could fire an AK 47 into a crowd and not only not get arrested but not hit anyone" Oh ok, that was me...but anyway get the point and take note tired olde world club full of first family boat traditions
  5. So Benny Hays FINALLY thinks Mr. Brightside 'may' go better with BO first time..after 40 starts!!! Blouses a sensational field and runs the fastest last 200M of the day including the open sprinters And some 'luminaries' 'think' they don't work Lume on lumes
  6. In his recent appearance with Guy, new Presidente, Russ Warwick, labelled 'social license' as his numero uno problem So you're going to have to suck it up I'm afraid
  7. Spotted it instantly with my 20/20 non cataract vision One of the great cock ups NZTR foisted upon Stewards was this 'counting the whip 2.3.4.9' nonsense Continually changing 'rules ok', case in point, when the likes of @opie_bosson @Teakaustud started bawling their eyes out, which gave NZTR a migraine, rushing through the splitting 'consecutive' & 'numbers' instead of combining such idiots It's a case study in 'how cock ups evolve' in wanting to appease various sector groups and now studied at Universities Quelle surprise jockeys are constantly cheating with massive repercussions for the integrity of Black Type
  8. As you can see i posted this topic BEFORE the report Stott was a very strong proponent of the new rules in the UK A big fan of the DQ apparently, lets hope he is when it comes in here as well then Stott's blog "There’s obviously been written and said about the new rules surrounding the whip. The changes are certainly going to take time to adjust to but ultimately it seems a good thing for the sport going forward. We are constantly being watched and the public perception has a big impact on the sport, so to keep racing with the changing times we clearly had to do something and the outcome seems fair for everyone. I believe the new disqualification rules and the increased penalties for offences are absolutely correct and should help to eliminate any jockeys who may be breaking the rules. Over the next few weeks I will definitely be trying to practice using my backhand position so that by the time the new rules start it should be second nature. You’d imagine plenty of my fellow jockeys will be doing the same. Finishes should certainly look neater, and it will most definitely be about helping the horse to stay balanced and really using strength to hold them together under hand and heels. I’m looking forward to the new challenge." A very strong whip rider as evidenced in his rides here, down the outside
  9. Exactly, will they take the plunge in their next attempt at how to screw up a perfectly simple solution, or will they screw it up again? A very good example in Ngakau Hailey winning yesterday with continual half/full strikes to the flank when winning a nose Much like Nabber McNab does when using the seam of the whip as well while flicking in consecutive strides Part of the reason why they banned consecutive strikes was the aesthetic but as you can see the jocks not only look as if it's continual but with some they're actually striking every stride. As you say, one strike hands back on the wither is very simple
  10. A shocking day for them Also supplied an inaccurate form guide and number to the herald for their sweep Heads will roll?? #yeana
  11. The moisture readings are a crock of shit When the 'ratings' are related to the actual penotrometer readings why don't they give the pen readings? Oz give you, shear, moisture and pen. Under the new Oz rating system an H10 can have a difference of over 80 lengths and punter's are required to guess how much rain has fallen to differentiate between an H 10 that's 'Holding" and/or Loose
  12. So he gets a "warning' with no fine because of his 'good record" after a couple of weeks riding?? Give me a break Wins the race by a head after cheating and gets to keep all the ill gotten gains #integrtynzstyle Not as bad as Danielle Johnson though winning the Livermol after 2 loads of 2 consecs, winning by a nose
  13. My word he did DJOKOTA under a punishing whip drive and he slips in 2 consecutive strikes when under pressure That worked wonders and gets up by a small margin Whip strikes work and he wont care as long as he makes an impact as the new boy on the block #nzracing #cheatsprosper
  14. Can't wait fined millions, soiled breeches?
  15. Makes total sense One of the reasons they used for only alternate strikes was the aesthetic but that's simply not working with the likes of Spratt and others appearing to use the whip every stride The kids watching think its every stride and that's what surely counts?
  16. Maybe tailored to individual accounts, Flem, Rosehill Trentham all 1st 4 here and Tauranga boosted all races
  17. Have a look how well the 4 strikes work in a major race It's the near future here shirley
  18. Definitely 4 races on weekends and 2nd to 3rd other days
  19. Exactly and well done picking it up. Being a monopoly they'll gradually whittle away punter's rights without informing them officially Cameron.Rodger@tab.co.nz Do it and lets us all know what his feeble excuse will be
  20. Absolutely convoluted and NZTR's many variations of the 'whip rule' show how bloody confused they are and that's obviously resonated with the jockeys What idiot organisation would make an already highly dangerous profession more dangerous by requiring counting and the distraction of trying to line up the 100M pole? Maybe 6 but what about 4 and the Galop France rule? Watching a French race and the aesthetic looks normal sans flailing whips that Australasian jockeys display And lets be clear, our jockeys are CHEATING Watch Sam Spratt head on in a tight finish and she's smacking the flank every stride on the pretense of 'showing the whip' Stewards prefer to ignore that fact because it's just too hard to police a 'half strike' Lets hope they've resurrected their senses in the next iteration of their 'whip confusion' and finally include what they signed up for in 2020 and BAN FLANK WHIPPING Craig Grylls will have to substantially change his style but sobeit
  21. So here's yet another jock who didn't get Andy Lacy's email While Mr Singh agreed that he had used the whip 8 times prior to the 100m, he defended the charge. This was due to himself and other Riders’ misunderstanding of the exceptions to this Rule. There are only 2 exceptions, specifically: (A) a Rider strikes a horse six times prior to the 100-metre mark, provided that the rider does not strike the horse more than four times after the 100-metre mark, (Amended 26 June 2023). (B) a Rider strikes a horse seven times prior to the 100-metre mark, provided that the rider does not strike the horse more than 3 times after the 100-metre mark, (Amended 26 June 2023). How hard can it be? Do Stewards need to have a monthly reminder meeting in the jocks room perhaps?
  22. At least the rail is out 6m where some track managers are simply shifting it 3m which of course creates fast lanes next time at TRUE
  23. oh four chuck stakes!! How long have you got, because I've got the lawns to do and moi's gunja patch to tend to so polly possum wont get high again tonight. Alors, they brought in the 'going stick' at great cost, after ditching the peno, which Tim Mills still does on twitter because he realises the rating system is STILL related to the pen and not the current 'moisture meter'!! Then ditched the stick for the meter! NZTR changed to the Oz system, calling the old Dead 5 SOFT, when it's patently not Retained 1, which NEVER occurs except at Tow Poo on a dry Xmas, but ditched H11, which happens every other weekend in winter! All in the mistaken belief Australian punters would 'invest' more here! incredibly the new 'improved' Oz system includes an extra Heavy!! 8,9,10...which punters HATE 'investing' on but which occurs far more frequently in NZ than Oz ffs.
  24. Wow love being a legend, if only You must have confused moi with someone who wastes time on tipping comps, or posting endlessly over as many sites as possible frittering their life away
  25. I'm not sure what you're referring to, But that other butt pain Grasi questioned my boner fiddies as well Same day I posted a lazy Friday fitty investment multi to return over 10K He still whined and squirmed like the blockhead he is I've been on the 'punter's promise' restrictions as long as it's been active, what does that tell you?
