  1. Seeing as you're being soooo nice to moi Stand by...with one leg in the air and black cloth on top of your noggin
  2. Make a great Kumara patch
  3. This has to been done to death But I cant get my head around the lack of understanding on this Shirley, if the DOYEN of ratings DAN, rates the BO performance as the 2nd best of its 42 starts and WILLO the jock says "the blinkers helped no end" Ipso facto stuff Punting blinkers, when the profile I use hits on a Black type performer (esp, after Xmas) taking into account value and the trainer/jockey decides to add extra gear (esp. blinkers and ESP. first up for example) Then I trust the trainer has worked said horse in such and noticed an improvement at a rating where I believe said horse is ALREADY going to be superior to it's competition Simply add @20/30% to my stake Cant get any clearer than that
  4. #yeana " had the blinkers on for the first time in his 40-start career and that may have proven a master stroke as he improved notably" That's right, he observed and like horseman WILLO came to the obvious conclusion Fair suck of the sav, let it go and admit you're way out of your depth
  5. From leading historian of fascist leaders and movements, Robert Paxton's book Anatomy of Fascism...a checklist Cultivates “a sense of overwhelming crisis beyond the reach of traditional solutions” tick Exhibits “the superiority of the leader’s instincts over abstract and universal reason” tick Underscores “the need for authority by natural leaders (always male) culminating in a national chief who alone is capable of incarnating the group’s destiny” Ascribes to “the belief that one’s group is a victim, a sentiment that justifies any action, without legal or moral limits, against its enemies” tick Demonstrates “the need for closer integration of a purer community; by consent if possible, or by exclusionary violence if necessary” tick Promotes “the beauty of violence and the efficacy of will when they are devoted to the group’s success” tick
  6. This is "finger in the air stuff" "Perhaps but did it really make a difference? His last 200m might have been quick but they ran 1:36 for a Grp 1 on a Good 4 track. The maidens at Riccarton ran 0.8 of a second slower on a Soft 6!!!' The science of professional rating's, PROFESSOR Dan is very well respected and uses algorithms you wouldn't know existed Comparing Riccarton maiden times to Mr. B's is the stuff of lunacy and you'd be laughed out of Dan's 'cop the f on' classes
  7. Just had a look at the head on as well Before the gates have open EV is on it's haunches having a good old squat Stewards order late scratchings for far less...attendant still holding onto the head and rearing after the gates have opened Minimal difference and punters should ALWAYS be given the benefit of the doubt Times have changed so dont screw the punters
  8. Former Chief of Staff John Kelly should know Served the moron for 2 years, said "Hitler did some good things" and "put personal loyalty above the Constitution" Narcissist, fascist, egotist in charge of the 'free world' "we're going to protect women...whether they like it or not" We're fucked
  9. What's really funny though...your hero's Te Akau, are MASSIVE users of BO Stink for you I guess?? Seriously though, drop the Trumpeske b/s and look at the SCIENCE I provided
  10. Starter unlucky imho...attendant flings the blindfold off...some jock elsewhere starts yelling to stop, EV given a few seconds freedom then rears Harness starts a total joke
  11. That's right it's a MAIDEN HANDICAP Saturday's will have a mix of maiden handicaps and set weight maidens Recently we introduced 3yo Handicaps to help out horses who were only being given 1kg weight relief at SW & P's winners would normally attract 2/212kgs penalty in a handicap race, certainly not 1kg Very unfair to lesser performed horses and doesn't attract greater betting
  12. So Betfair form expert Dan O'Sullivan's rating's for the week are in and he's all over Mr. B's career high ratings His career peak being in the 2000M Cox which shows he can get further and of course if he'd had BO over the longer distance may have raced too fiercely We'll leave that up to the experts like Davo and Pop Col's idea that BO would work this time though Mr Brightside had the blinkers on for the first time in his 40-start career and that may have proven a master stroke as he improved notably on his recent form to run a 104.5 rating and win the Group 1 Champions Mile, defeating Antino (103.5) by half a length. He came off previous ratings of 100.6 in the G1 Cox Plate, 100.8 in the G1 Might And Power Stakes and 100.9 in the G2 Feehan Stakes. This improved performance ranks just below his career peak of 104.9 in the 2023 Cox Plate, where he was narrowly beaten by Romantic Warrior, and slightly above his 104.3 rating in his Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes win the same year. His next level of top form shows ratings of 103.8 and 103.5 multiple times. While he may not be among the highest-rated horses we've seen, Mr Brightside’s list of achievements, consistency and longevity make him a more than worthy contender for future induction into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame. Across his 40-start career, he has claimed eight Group 1 wins (nine if the All-Star Mile is included), finished second six times (seven with the All-Star Mile), and run third twice, excelling at distances from 1400m to 2040m. Given his near career-best performance on Saturday, there’s no reason he can’t return in the Autumn with a strong chance to capture further Group 1 wins.
  13. Of course there's levels of seriousness in anything It doesn't mean casual racism/sexism should be ignored...unless you think generation alpha/z should accept man boobed men commenting on their monthly supposed temperament issues BTW research shows that 'monthly' thing is b/s
  14. How did I know you'd react like a typical beer pot bellied man boobed kind of way? After all you saw nothing wrong in commenting on a jockey's marriage split with the non guilty party's name being headlined. The total moron who runs that site left it up for days and you and stupid old nomates feasted on it and saw nothing wrong with it Disgusting
  15. Actually that rings a bell now you mention it The same applies to other rating bands doesn't it? Consistent horses tend to gravitate to the top but that's 'handicap' racing for you Trainers can run horses from outside barriers, unsuitable tracks or inexperienced apprentice to get their rating down. It's all part of 'racing' as we know it but in the end handicap racing promotes and encourages betting As I say there can be a mix of set weights and handicap maidens here as there is in Australia. For example there's a 100K Maiden Handicap at Rosehill today. When well know form expert Dominic Beirne recommended changes to WA's programming he reasoned What are the benefits of Maiden handicaps? As with all other handicap races, maiden handicap provide the opportunity for horses to be weighted based on their previous performances rather than running under set-weight conditions only. This is expected to provide Owners of lower rated maiden horses the chance of winning a race at that level. What he said
  16. What a terrible waste of horseflesh NZTR are allowing in refusing to program maiden handicap races. Long suffering owners of maiden horses with 20 plus starts having to front at set weights & P's with younger more talented horses who can be stakes placed is what you call totally unfair. Britain has a system where after 3 starts a horse will receive a handicap. That could be the case here in maiden handicaps with perhaps a mixture of SW & P's on Saturdays and also handicaps with a mix up allowed Handicap racing promotes betting and far more interest and simply programming a continuation of the same as now only encourages average horses to be retired early or be exported to deep, dark cold Gorrre. And what maiden wants that?
  17. Stop with your b/s slogans already I had a relative contact me whose 13 yo daughter was watching and she was disgusted. Harden up 70's style you think? Generation alpha/z dont tolerate this kind of basic sexism b/s and she was astonished a well known legend of the turf was still promoting it Entain and the Racing Industry are targeting lost generation's to the sport and if you think ignoring basic racism/sexism in the hope they don't hear it you're deluded
  18. Yes Ginga jokes are hilarious and love a good Kerry joke too... the Kerry's find them hugely funny as well...in a pub setting Silly old Wheels and Big Red Sharrock were on live telly spouting out Casual Racism/Sexism with gay abandon Steph McKee's work setting where he told an Indian worker "it wouldn't matter if an Indian died, there would still be a billion left" is blatant racism more than casual Old school racing industry norms from the 70's have nothing to do with a backlash against 'PC' either Basic casual racism/sexism is the fuel that feeds outright racism and belittles those targeted Wheeler must have missed Entain's media training they funded after Sharrock got the DCM for racism on Auckland Cup day..but he more than likely ignored it Being olde school Cant wait for a female trainer, who didn't get the email either, to comment on a Gelding needing more racing... "like a lazy old man, rotund beer pot and man boobs to match"
  19. So silly old Wheels gets an olde world type interview opportunity that he thought was hilarious Geggy O'Connor asks about his filly in the last "well Geggy she's got temperament issues...just like a woman hahaha" WTAF?? Didn't he get the Entain email about what's acceptable and wtf's not after Alan Sharrock's shocking racist comment on Auckland Cup day this year? Rodley "what chance Big Red?" Big Red "a mate out the back asked what chance..I said "he's black and he's old" he said "i'd rather be black" After this Entain sent Red a 'not acceptable to our standards" type email and Wheels should be getting one too this week Racist/sexist comments of any kind are simply not acceptable in this new Entain environment and female newcomers to the industry shouldn't have to listen to outright sexist/racist b/s from olde world trainers thinking they're funny
  20. Aren't you embarrassed to be telling professional trainers like the Hayes team "it was a desperate action"? Fair dinkum, too much pullin' the pudding methinks
  21. You read like you're CS's bro bro, here endeth the lesson “He travelled a lot better in the blinkers today. He felt more professional today and really switched on...Willo here endeth the lesson
  22. Ben's a very nervy type of personality, as opposed to his Dad and Pop Pop would've been on his shoulder reminding him of MB's "recent average form" You cant beat Pop's experience
  23. Super price with BO after average recent efforts albeit off hard 'without cover' runs Aces...although a certain @murdigrass cant get his head @ that one either!
  24. So I'm supposing you'd support Kurtis Pertab's disciplining of his 'out of control' horse that got him 4 months DQ , where he did EXACTLY what a jockey does in using the whip in a race "He was witnessed striking it excessively with the whip around the side of the belly, flank and across the shoulder, continuing for probably a good couple of minutes and estimated to have been 10 to 20 strikes of the whip." So "belly, flank, shoulder" virtually what they do in a race and @ 13/14 strikes racked up by a jockey into whipping Why aren't they getting DQ'd every day?
  25. "The eighth Group 1 honour for the son of Bullbars was a very special win for the stable, which never lost faith despite Mr Brightside’s recent defeats. Will Hayes said the blinkers were actually father David’s idea... “The old man in Hong Kong suggested it, but it’s a team effort and Mr. Brightside represents our team so well,” he said." So it appears, to the experts, his form had tapered off, now resurrected again Thanks Dad but special thanks to Pop, who first imported them to Australia
