  2. you have not addressed my direct question. Do you think that they betting take out$ from bets taken by TAB grossly favor the house? You will recall the v interesting recent article posted here about the reality of what happens when the house takes to great of a %
  3. It be interesting to be privy to the information be feed to Winnie!! Have Internal Affairs published much re Racing lately? re those extra meetings, perhaps so KPI can be meet and paid out. as a measure of 'growth' happening?
  4. multi 000's published photos.. mutli book covers... multi magizine front pages... my photos used by media in 6 counties? perhaps the largest private collection of nz jockeys.. and you?? re Brown, my criticism is in his roles other that on a horse.. a nasty streak in him, I got to see it close up!
  5. You are welcome to your world view! Others are most welcome to curse me when i'm gone! Though, I do prefer to have critical comments about me delivered in person! That's what I try and Do. To finish on 'old kenny', he had Power positions in NZ Racing and he caused unneeded stress to people I know (jockeys) which to this day disgusts me!
  6. Not the most elegant in other areas of his life either... conservative, ignorant, reactionary are words that come to mind!

  8. oh, does he think? thought that the likes of him are set on 'automatist Pollyanna' mode, any truth that he is a full brother to TAB
  9. my first introduction was via 3ZB, Mum's first cuzzy was Reon M, Every race that he commentator-ed was listened to.. then aged 16, started going to Addington and Riccarton, never a meeting missed, ran with the likes of 'Pitty' way before he started training... family interest at the coalface, actually goes way back further, G G Dad, trained the winner of Kumara Nuggets back in 1926? My late Dad had a horse back ground, in the '30's he had a team of 30 Clydesdales.... memories, doesn't racing make them!
  10. please educate me!!! lets start with something that I$ important, the role of the mug punter. You are happy with the betting take out$ re most of the products on offer?
  11. HOW can you really tell how well the Industry is travelling when there is so much use of 'smoke and mirrors', where are the fact$ that things are improving? metric of needed
  12. Speaking as a photographer, he was friendly and easy to deal with. A life well lived!
  13. Propaganda rules! more so that ever! For ownership, I recon, that approach is rather 'doubled edge sword!' The propagator pleases a select few, others, either gets brutalized by 'the reality of racing', get lucky, mostly though, get burnt and leave... rather hard to due diligence in this industry! Of course, 'the punter' can go f themselves with large rip of take out!
  14. lol, I think I might be of help! "The Sandman is a mythical character in European folklore who puts people to sleep and encourages and inspires beautiful dreams by sprinkling magical sand onto their eyes." and just like that we have a world class race track... sprinkle sprinkle
  15. As a photographer, he was always easy to deal with. A life well lived!
  16. A very senor old school trainer, once told me that he thought that each horse finds a weight where it doesn't stretch out to it best advantage. He was a master at placing them.
  17. how many 'colours' can you name?
  18. yes, the one and only.. I once got a ride to and back from the races one day, he spoke about 5 words on each journey...
  19. How many riders can you name?
