Good , or is that bad , that you have options of which shitty track surfaces to choose from .
-
The ridings getting scarier down your way , that young fella that won the cup albut fell off 4 times in the last 200 , twice to the near , twice to the off . The head on was a great watch .

On The Bubbles cost 90k , he was there for plenty of other shoppers to buy , why didn't they . Previous to that Melody Belle cost 57k , the second horse yesterday was given to them to train and had lengths on the rest . Maybe they just do it better . Go racing spend plenty on horses to syndicate yet are miles behind TA's record , Marsh gets plenty of good blood and has plent of horses in work , why does he not get the kind of record that JR is getting ? At some stage you just have to bow to the fact that TA and JR and his team do it better . If you want to get into a syndicated horse which provider do you go to , TA or Go Racing or any other syndicator , no brainer .

The place is a shit hole , the trainers know it , that is why they are all over the moon with getting an A/W to train on , the place is abysmal to train a horse at in the winter . But that's where the whole thing is screwed , they will spend 15 mil + on an A/W when the main track is a goat track rather than rectify the problem properly .

Haha , April fools was 2 days ago , another piece of fluff said with a slightly more threatening tone . If these guys stopped talking and actually done they would get much more respect from racing participants . The last part of the statement , bullet pointing the 7 key areas and what they want to achieve is exactly what everybody in the industry has been calling for , for god knows how long , yet they seem to have just woken up to these . Perhaps if they had got more racing participants on board earlier then we might have started achieving some of these goals by now rather than just talking about it , AGAIN . FFS stop talking and start doing , please .

Geez she's tough , great ride , race won at the 600 when McDonald eased and got off the inside and outside the English horse . Well done to all the connections , bring on the queen Elizabeth . -
Irrespective of the weather the crowds at Trentham for big days are very poor for a metropolitan club . Comparing to Auckland populations is relitive because ARC crowds on the whole are piss poor , but it's the same everywhere , it's symptomatic of the way NZ racing is / has been managed . You must remember Wgtn cup days when the bottom and upper tier of the public stand was choka , the lawn and tote areas were the same , those were crowds . No one can defend crowds now as being great .
-
The club could have said no to the first day , run it somewhere else , WRC has over the years allowed them to be steam rolled far too easily .

Geez where did the crowd go from Trentham - NZ Oaks Day?

The best one is whenever Melody Belle wins , the bloke who runs Fortuna ( name eludes me at the moment ) manouvers himself into camera shot whenevr Jamie Richards gets interviwed after the race , a real glory seeker , always gets me laughing it's so obvious . -
Totally agree , but they could have had the first day at another CD track to preserve the track for the Oaks , having it elsewhere in the CD wouldn't have affected Auckland , just the local mob are clueless as well .
-
Mate i've been going to Trentham for 47 years , i remember when the Wellington populous DID support Trentham , present crowds are not even a pale imitation .
-
Well i'm a resonably intelligent man with plenty of experience within the industry so if i knew why it happens i would express that , so i would be grateful if you have the reason why it happens please enlighten me . It';s got me stumped .
-
What's analysis , if they did that it would require that they come up cognitive and intelligent decision making , that had realistic goals that lead to positive change and would give industry participants confidence in the future . Even now , after all the upheavel of covid along with the Messara report and the Govt handout and rhetoric about how they were going to shake up NZ racing , 1year on i still have no clear idea what direction that NZTR are trying to take the industry in , to give the participants that clarity and confidence to continue taking part in racing .
-
The thing i don't get is you have a big G1 meeting and they race a nothing meeting the week before , any number of tracks could have run that day , and i have noticed they have started doing this a bit more .

The thing is any non racing knowledgable person would look at KFE always hugging after a big win and be thinking " crikey that woman is a lucky owner , she wins heaps of races ".
