Thought the same thing when I heard that, obviously a driver must be questioning what was going on. As pointed out most of the starts werent that great

MM needs to run hard even sections to try and out stay SS and B4B if that is possible to do. As he isn't the fastest over the last 800m, but Brad will know what to do
Last year the hype was on Oscar Bonavena. Bolt for Brilliance is getting the same hype, will be interesting to see what happens with B 4 B and how he stacks up on New years eve in the National
What is the solution to team driving? As any trainer with 2 in a race may be subject to having to hand up to a stable mate or having to make a stable mate sit parked.
Do we just say no more than 2 per stable per race or if more than 2 have outside drivers drive the horses in that race?
I think on a whole, most drivers do what's best for their horse and connections, although last night makes alot of queries to this particular drive.
Light. 5 months is lucky. You could count on your fingers and toes how many drives a season he has. If they held it to the rules, he would have probably got 7 years
You must be referring to A Pyers drive at Manawatu. I think him catching the field after galloping and running up the passing lane, going inside the markers to sit inside the leaders (for 700m) then snag back clipping a tyre and almost causing his horse to fall, then still up the home straight give it a slap on its arse and use the whip is just purely incompetence, he was lucky to only get 5 months.
I cant see how a defence about a horse bolting and trying to pull up can be used. Unless there was more effort to show he was trying to pull it up
Also I'd like to see the Dominion as well run on Tuesday and both FFAs on Friday.
Addington has done 1 thing right this year... could they make it two!
I'm with Globe.
Sundees son if he trots all the way will be tough, but I thought at Kaikoura he galloped in sympathy, meaning god knows where his head is at.
I'll go Heavyweight Hero, seems he is in the zone and an older stronger horse, 3200m should suit
Yes will definitely be interesting to see how he goes, reminds me of last year with people saying same thing about Oscar Bonavena, 4yo is a very difficult year for the good trotters. I cant wait to see the line up for the Anzac and Rowe Cup which could be the best field in years and years
Jesus wept! You are putting down 2 horses having their first go at the park and one setup the 2.39 pace and the other went fantastic for 2nd. I'd say they have a chance at beating Bolt for Brilliance this time by either Ultimate Stride or Cracker Hill. As for where are the others, they are scared to take on the 3 top seeds, happens all the time, why run when your best may be 3rd? When you can tackle a lesser caliber race on the card.
But for someone like Matt Purvis, he seems to take people's horses that are battling and can get them to win 1 or 2 and then moves them on. As well as trains his father's horses from the out set
I love consistency. That's why I back aveross spitfire as I know what I'll get. Same with Brodster
Also think drivers should carry 2 whips, and have a maximum amount of strikes with one before they swap to the other. Would make life so much easier!!
I just want to know why 10 days ago adverts on t.v. starting saying we needed masks... and then now we have it in the community? Also why Tauranga hospital and whakatane hospital shut down. Conspiracies are flying. Hotel.... trivago
