Me oh my have you got something wrong. Matty was flicking it with the reins for near on 1000m before Valmagne was eased down. Great sportsmanship and horsemanship by Matty, 12/10 Matty I think is a fantastic driver, #3 in NZ currently. If anything he made the horse have more of a chance than anyone else on it. Think you are trying to start something, where something isn't needed. General consensus is that Valmagne should be retired. Also that most people on here are probably banned/blocked from the Harness Owners Federation on FB

Absolutley right! They would be more than chuffed with tactics adopted with Blair and the lack of attacking from other drivers. My motto is always if on the best horse, lead and dictate; if you get run down it wasnt meant to be.

Was a very boring derby, once he got the front and noone attacked it was his for the taking. I would have thought they (being the field) would have made it a lot harder for him to win, but looked like everyone wanted to run 2nd at best

Small, but quality field. Will be a tactical affair. Many assumptions to be made. Will Bolt for Brillance lead? Sundees Son will obviously work to lead or parked. Where does that leave Oscar B and Muscle M? How much improvement will Oscar B have after only 1 trial and a 1 mile race, which he was beaten at? Have only mentioned these 4 horses as I think they are the only chances in the race
