  1. I could consider myself Brad Pitt but that doesn't make it so. You're not politically neutral at all. You're a leftie through and through. That is not an insult, just the reality. I've never considered myself a "rightie"....my parents were blue collar workers so voted for Labour who they believed represented the working man / woman. Prior to 2020, I'd never voted once. I've always been cynical of all political parties. My youngest son was 18 in 2020 and could cast his first vote and did. I voted for the first time motivated mostly by the two important referendums. I felt National were mostly onto things fiscally but was cynical of their "Rock Star Economy" when I was seeing more and more people struggle. I felt bean counters were indifferent to their plight and wasn't a fan of Judith Collins so I put my party vote in for.....Labour. I'm an idealist and felt Ardern had a social conscience. I'm embarrassed to say that now but authenticity and transparency are important. I did what I thought was right at the time. You describe the country as being "fuked" and you're right. Governments have made a pigs ear of things but what Labour did was obscene in so many areas and a new low. They did one thing very successfully via their agenda. They divided our beautiful country. Virtually every appointment made was virtue signaling. The relentless prioritizing of everything Maori has been a train wreck for NZ. It's also created a strong sense of entitlement for many Maori that if they play their cards right and say the right thing, more lollies will come their way. Do you think that's been happening? Perhaps in an echo chamber of socialists their agenda was a sound plan but in reality it was divisive carnage. Race relations need to be handled with care and respect for all parties. Labour skipped right over that all important step. Everyone in my world supported the pro-equity journey especially in health. Now six + years later you'd have more success finding rocking horse poo than finding anyone in my circle that support anything associated with Labour. The way it's been implemented was divisive, hugely expensive and like virtually everything Labour did, ineffective. Even many of the people they had buy-in with have since gone cold. Many that don't or can't see that have not been at the coal face and experienced the reality day in day out. Labour's plan to drop the prison population by 30% sounded good to them but it's been a racist catastrophe that has changed NZ permanently. That 30% was intended to be mostly the poor old Maori. How do you suddenly keep 3000 Maori offenders out of prison? We are talking about serious offenders and that should never be overlooked. You do it by downgrading their serious offending so they qualify for home detention and you also have the courts gifting out sentence reductions until home detention comes into view. I have a friend in Auckland who was robbed in 2021 by several Maori offenders. The level of "terror" with the incident traumatized his staff. Several left soon after. Their only comfort was the offenders being caught two days later.......only to have their serious charges downgraded to keep the offenders out of prison. Total insult to my friend and to his staff........but the message sent and received to all other similar offenders including gangs was there is a free pass waiting for them. Ginny Anderson was both Police Minister and Minister of Justice. She stated Prison is no place for Maori. Really? That statement implies that Prison is an ok place for Non Maori. It also highlights more of Labour's ideology that could only ever work in an echo chamber. End result now for many New Zealanders is they believe their country is less safe. Thanks for nothing Labour. Poto Williams was an abomination as a Police Minister and our worst ever in that important role. She sat on her hands while ram-raids got into full swing. Ardern farcically stated she still had full confidence in Williams. Nek minute when it became even more embarrassing to Ardern she sent Williams packing. She stated Williams had lost her focus. Beep! wrong! How does a Police Minister lose focus during a diabolical crime wave? They don't. Williams never had any focus as she was totally unsuitable for the position from day one. She is what happens when you appoint someone because they are both female and Maori. Virtue signaling failure. Justice Minister Kiri Allan is Maori, female and lesbian. Three virtue signaling boxes ticked. How did that work out? etc etc etc New Zealanders have been leaving our beautiful country in record numbers. Why? We have record immigration despite record homelessness. Many of the immigrants Labour signed off on are light years away from being high skilled individuals. ....but they will all need a home, during a housing crisis. The way Labour managed the Covid Pandemic was appalling. Started off ok when we didn't know what would / could happen next and then it became an obscene abuse of power. I know of numerous highly skilled nurses that were sacked for refusing the Covid Vaccine. These in some cases were nurses that were involved in previous immunization campaigns and had supported vaccines. The extended 2021 lockdown in Auckland in August 2021 where we lived was a complete farce. The implications there were far reaching. During the 2023 election campaign, Winston Peters made a statement that almost everyone on planet Earth would have previously totally agreed with. He said female toilets and changing rooms need to be a safe place for women and girls. ...Chris Hipkins stated Peters was inciting hatred toward the trans community. That is the same man who only got fired up during the leaders debates when two subjects came up. Prioritizing Maori and LBGT. If you look at virtually every photo of Hipkins during the 2023 election campaign you'll see him virtue signaling. Post election he then farcically states he doesn't know what he could have done differently to win the election. He can't be serious? One of the unintended consequences of virtually everything Labour did was to push voters elsewhere.....including me. The main reason National , ACT and NZF are now in Government is Labour did such a diabolically bad job. Some of the carnage caused is now set in stone. Our media and many others pointing the finger of blame at the new Government are looking in the wrong area. If Labour had respected the election mandate gifted to them in 2020, they'd still be in office. National, ACT and NZF were also given an election mandate. Put right what Labour got so badly wrong. My support for National is not unconditional but they are light years a better option at this time than Labour. I'm pleased they are addressing tenancy laws for landlords that were so heavily titled toward tenants, even diabolically bad tenants. I'm not impressed with the Police pay offer especially coming off the back of landlords being looked after so promptly. That's as tone deaf as it gets. I have trust issues with Luxon. He has a habit of either not answering questions or giving the same answer for different questions. His claiming of 50k as a housing subsidy for a home he owns highlights two things. One is a broken system open to rorting and two, how politicians enjoy feathering their own nest via the tax payer at the very time they are telling everyone else the country needs them to tighten their belts. Bill English when Minister of Finance did exactly the same thing. John Key pulled him up saying it wasn't a good look. In reality, this rort is widespread but it's only the higher profile hypocrites you hear about. Luxon stated he would return the money he'd claimed for housing SINCE becoming the PM. ....because it had become a distraction. Not because it was so wrong but because it's a distraction. Really? I assume he has been claiming that allowance since he became an MP in 2020 and especially so since becoming the leader of the opposition in 2021. Why is he not paying that back or even being asked about it when the circumstances I assume were similar? I do however overall feel Luxon has done a good job in very difficult circumstances and has scope to become a very good PM. Hipkins was never going to be a good PM. Despite reservations I do support the new coalition Government who have enormous carnage to clean up. They are being misrepresented and attacked every step of the way by our inept and totally bias woke media and vested interest groups. My support will drop off if our Police and Primary Health Care professionals are not finally looked after and respected via their salary despite promises to do so. Both groups have already waited far to long. Next time you're unhappy about the new Government, look at why they are there. Relentless, costly and divisive Labour failures.
  2. Nonsense. The gravy train of treaty settlements is relentless and never ending. If anything it's been ramped up. I stole nothing and neither did my ancestors. I resent the emotive language and ongoing guilt trips dumped on the majority aimed at controlling the narrative and receiving compliance for the gravy train to never actually end. The Maori Party would not even be in Parliament if they weren't continually stoking the divisive fires of the bad white man. Similar situation exists elsewhere in the claims process. Settling those claims with huge payouts has not brought our country closer together, in fact it's doing the opposite. Many of the lollies "gifted" to Maori in recent years are over and above treaty settlements. Brodie is correct to describe them as gifts. I'm correct in saying this was the unspoken election issue that played a part in the election outcome. Are all of those New Zealand voters also racist? By describing Brodie as "RACIST" for correctly using the word "Gift" and in the right context proves you are yet another liberal happy to weaponize the word "racist" and throw it around like cheap confetti. That very important word is losing it's value and meaning.
  3. 100% The usual dynamic is one crowd gets voted out after a catalog of fails rather than the other lot voted in via inspiring policies from a genuine leader. The blame game then starts that it's always the fault of the previous Government for stuffing things up to the point harsh policies then become both necessary and justified. That merry go round got old many moons ago but is still trotted out like it's a new thing.
  4. I can tell you I've seen comprehensive detail about the priority gifted to Maori over the last 40 months in health and the results have at best been negligible. They certainly don't justify the huge expense and considerable time devoted by well meaning individuals and organizations.......but that won't make a blind bit of difference. All that matters is the agenda at any price.......even a more divided country.
  5. I've seen how "others" operate. They give their perspective and if it's not accepted unconditionally, the receiver of their input must be just an old fool. How's that working?
  6. Thank you Freda, As you know we live in strange times where receiving your "news" via alleged "News Networks" has become ....unreliable. You need to decipher what it is you're hearing and seeing via a blatantly bias media where their own agenda dictates just what you are presented. Anyone who doubts that has clearly not been paying attention. Thomas presents his "facts" that have been presented to him which is fair enough but all important context is absent. I appreciate small examples of anecdotal evidence can be of dubious value but I'll present my take on things. I have several family members involved in our health system including my wife. Most are in managerial positions. We also have a fairly large circle that includes numerous health professionals. When the pro-equity journey started ramping up in Labour's first term everyone I know embraced it. I can promise you that is most definitely not the case now. There is growing resentment over the force feeding of a language and culture onto professionals with a one size fits all mindset. You either buy in 100% or you are singled out. Nobody will speak up as they recognize their career would be at worst over or at least made extremely uncomfortable for them. It matters not one jot if you're overwhelmed with your workload due to staffing issues or you have very few Maori in your area. You must prioritize anything and everything Maori even at the expense of clinical treatment. Diabolical. Unfortunately, the more Maori are gifted, the more they want and the more they demand. They are also very comfortable to routinely misrepresent the truth to put the bad white man on the back foot again exactly where they want him. It's been a very "productive" plan for them to the point it's now the status quo. I've seen dozens of examples of job applicants just not turning up for their scheduled interview. This is unprecedented on the scale I'm aware of. These applicants are given the heads up on preparing for the interview and much of that involves Maori language, culture and of course the Treaty. It becomes too much for an alarming number of applicants. When the reason for not arriving is asked for, it's always the same answer. The amount of Maori language and culture they have to take on is just too much. It dominates. The fact there are few Maori in the areas concerned is seen as irrelevant. At a time health professionals are needed more than ever they are being chased away. You can't force "buy-in" but that's exactly what's unfolding. I don't like to make this comparison but there is a familiar dynamic within the transgender movement. It's forced onto people and if you don't embrace it unconditionally, you're signaled out as a dinosaur and canceled. This has never been the way mankind has evolved and it should be now either. I speak with a lot of people along the way and these are not rednecks. They are people of all ages and professions. They are fed up with the force feeding of everything Maori and believe it's dividing our country. Very few are prepared for obvious reasons to share their authentic perspective so they just sit quietly and reluctantly go along with what is essentially a charade. Winston Peters has tapped into that which is very much in keeping with how Winston operates. The anonymity of the voting process allowed New Zealanders to vote with their feet and they did. Hipkins lives and works in an echo chamber so has no real clue why Labour was savaged at the polls. If he became PM again tomorrow he'd do exactly the same via bewildering ignorance. I couldn't give a hoot if my input is seen as "racist". That tag has been weaponized once again to control the narrative. It now means diddly. I embrace Maori culture and language etc but that must be kept on an individuals own terms. You try and force feed it and you lose me and many others like me. That horse has now bolted courtesy of the previous Labour Government.
  7. I'm sure there is sympathy from us all for people who through no fault of their own find themselves homeless. We do however know one size doesn't fit all on this topic. More and more people in our communities however don't embrace the homeless via Kianga Ora being set up in their area. Why? Reason number one is many of these people bring all of their issues with drugs, alcohol, crime, gangs and violence right into their neighbourhood and on a daily basis. Their quality of life is invariably demolished and the value of their biggest asset is often negatively impacted. Many of these people are routinely intimidated, abused and threatened by their new neighbours. This is where the next big issue arrives. That being the refusal of Kianga Ora refusing to act on the thousands of serious complaints they receive. The complainants who are often elderly homeowners are told there is nothing that can be done as these people need a home and that's their only priority. It's now beyond dispute that many of these social housing tenants are fully aware Kianga Ora gives them protected special treatment. Many take full advantage either via their conduct or not paying rent. Residents all over NZ are aware of the facts so the moment they hear of yet another monstrosity about to be built in their area they don't want a bar of it. Kianga Ora have been just as much the architect of this outcome as the unruly tenants. Now we have a new Government that is finally respecting home owners and their quality of life. Unruly tenants will now be evicted just like they would be in the real world. First to bitch and moan about it was predictably the Green Party. At no point did they go into bat for home owners. It was just the poor old tenants regardless of the distress they've inflicted onto others....their victims. Absolutely no mention of the real victims from the Green Party and other bleeding hearts. Here's a novel idea. Be warned that your outrageous conduct will no longer be tolerated. If you decide to ignore the warning, you'll be evicted.......just like in the real world. I see now that Mr Useless Sausage Roll Munching Hipkins is saying he should have done more with tenants that terrorized neighbours while Labour was in Government. What a joke! How ironic that now he's powerless he says that. He and his colleagues very deliberately dismissed every complaint made against these tenants. Servicing their agenda was their priority. Labour have been their enablers and made a rod for the backs of many good New Zealanders. Same sort of logic involved in keeping certain serious criminal offenders out of prison. We have all paid the price for that. https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2024/03/labour-leader-chris-hipkins-concedes-his-government-could-ve-done-more-on-unruly-k-inga-ora-tenants.html
  8. I may have been listening to the wrong interview but what I heard with Winston Peters was him "comparing race based theories" Labour losing the election in a drubbing was due in no small part to their prioritizing support and health care based on ethnicity rather than need. Race relations is a sensitive issue that needs to be managed with extreme care. Labour drove a bulldozer straight over them via idealistic, naïve and racial prioritizing of one group over another. All they gifted up to everyone else was huge servings of guilt. Is Co-Governance in any way similar to the holocaust? Absolutely not but I don't believe for a moment Peters was comparing the two. Co-Governance is in essence the prioritizing of one racial group over another. It makes a mockery of democracy in a democratic country. The Nazi regime prioritized one group over another which should never be occurring in these alleged enlightened times. This was at the heart of Peters comparison but our snow flake woke media are only interested in presenting it via their agenda. I couldn't believe the co leader of the Maori Party stated as factual that Maori DNA was superior to others. Our media gave him a free pass on that outrageous, racist and totally false statement. Winston Peters will always be true to himself but the pitch forks out over this bullshit is nauseating. Get a far king life!
  9. His logic only works in an echo chamber.........but he's not a Labour supporter ......just a Labour defender

    Eurostyle

Have watched this mare from day one after being told she was held in high regard by Derek & Adele. She's a beauty. In early November she beat Masterly and Confessional @ Addington. Enjoyed the way she won and just as importantly, the way Kim drove her., especially in the home straight. Fourth turning in but several lengths off them. No stress at all from Kim. She just pulled Eurostyle wider and she picked them up like the result was never in doubt. On cup day I paid close attention to her. When she got the top no problem I thought it was likely all over despite her still having a chink in her armour. Andy Hall was determined to take the top and soon after Eurostyle galloped. I assumed game over after losing a fair bit of ground mid race but she got balanced up and put up a superb run to beat all but Galway Girl. Since then she's won three more races, all in the very capable hands of Kim Butt who's reputation with trotters especially goes from strength to strength. Her win last night was another ripper. Kim drove her out of trouble exactly like she was the best horse in the race and she clearly was. Still plenty of time up her sleeve and further inevitable improvement, I feel both horse and driver will not be out of place in races like the Rowe Cup and Dominion. Stoked for everyone involved from a racing and breeding preposition. https://harness.hrnz.co.nz/gws/ws/r/infohorsews/wsd06x?Arg=hrnzg-Ptype&Arg=RaceVideo&Arg=hrnzg-RacehdrID&Arg=1472FE98-BFD4-4AD1-9706-C29B44C8FBB0&Arg=hrnzg-rSite&Arg=TRUE

  11. I don't know how well those combo's would go Gammalite but it's a runners chance of turning $1 into $250. Had you taken similar wagers with the same drivers you would have turned a handsome profit. Many would embrace a small wager that potentially turns into a marathon over several hours.
  12. From a business perspective, yes it will tie up punters money for longer but business models are based on finding the right balance that works for the business and the paying customer.....not just what's expedient for the business. When you approach a business with "we want" we want" "we want", you're missing a critical aspect of the equation. When it comes to customers, what percentage turn a profit with their betting year in year out? We know the percentage is small. but If we just focused on the results of $5 & $20 individual wager customers with a $50 to $100 a weekly budget, it would be safe to assume only a tiny fraction actually win year after year. That is despite Trackside Presenters advising punters to get their "investments" on. If they really are investments, they would be right down there with outcomes alongside one armed bandit players "investing" another $100 With that in mind, what is the appeal for customers with bets like Pick ? It provides an opportunity to use your skill and judgement in finding multiple winners and collect a meaningful amount of dosh that potentially makes the difference between a punter winning or losing for the year. It's a product that can compete with Lotto but rely on skill. Take that product away and you remove an important opportunity for what your customers "want". Go back and look at how the TAB promoted the Pick Six in the past. It was an exciting product that provided customers the opportunity to win decent money for a relatively small outlay. Now look at the way you've just described that same product. A three to four hour marathon. You make it sound as boring as three to four hours of Craig Thompson ......or The Magic Man, The Iceman, The Wizard, The Chief etc. We know politicians will make statistics suit whatever their agenda is. You've just done the equivalent for the TAB. Have you also noticed how Politicians often see the way forward is to remove than add? Using the same justification, can we look forward to all exotic bets over multiple races being shitcanned by the TAB? I've been a TAB customer for decades but do they give a flying toss about what I want? I dislike Greyhound racing but will happily watch the main feature events if I'm looking at the idiot box at the time. No others. I hate how our screens are inundated with Greyhound racing to suit the TAB agenda of quantity over quality. I hate how significant moments in the two main codes are routinely flushed and lost via the quest to get over to Wollomollabongo again to endure watching multiple morbidly obese greyhound handlers waddle over to the boxes stopping only when the dog takes a dump and the sandcastle man with his bucket and spade scoops it up. Riveting stuff!. Race is over in 25 seconds, paid out quickly so the compulsive gamblers are fed and we can quickly then cross over to Dillawalladingabongobong for their next race. Do TAB customers want that? I sure as fxxk don't but when was the last time the TAB put any priority on what their customers want? We should have a Trackside channel for greyhounds only that does not negatively impact on the coverage of the other codes as it has been doing so for years. 24 NZ greyhound races covered by Trackside today along with 148 from Australia. Even that obscene amount is not enough. They are now having greyhound racing on from other countries ffs. How exciting as I look for the turd emoji For many years I was passionate about Jumps racing but a jumps race takes several minutes and steeplechases in the winter can take five to eight minutes. Imagine how many greyhound races you could fit in during that eight minutes. Jumps racing in NZ is dying and has been for several years. The fields get smaller and smaller and now even the famed Ellerslie hill is gone. The TAB will be very comfortable with the demise as they only ever paid lip service to what was an inconvenience to them. Many consider jumps racing a much needed winter highlight while others just see them as "marathon" that takes up far too much time. In my opinion, the TAB have again displayed arrogance for their customer base by shitcanning the "marathon" wagers of Pick 6 and Place 6. If they were genuine about retaining their existing customers and even encouraging new ones they would do two things. 1) Find out what their customers want and don't want. 2) Without further delay, fix that festering turd of a betting platform so TAB customers can have confidence. Time for a coffee
  13. I remember years ago the TAB wanted to shitcan the Pick 6. The justification given was there was only so much $$ in punters pockets and the Pick 6 tied that $$ up for too long and was not being turned over. At least some punters protested and later that there was a change of heart and the Pick 6 remained. I suspect this has been revisited by the TAB and for the same reason. Were TAB customers asked how they feel about these wagering options being removed?
  14. Like all of us I'm 100% in favour of the Teal promotion. It's win win.........but, I wonder if the ladies just wearing the Teal pants is enough? If you only have one Teal driver in a race it's all good, but when you have multiple Teal drivers in the race it can become challenging for those viewing to pick out one Teal driver from others?

My take there Brodie is a bit the same but different. Cup day has bigger dollars and a lot of prestige. As a result you can have confidence the input and priority etc will be authentic. The Cup it's self is only one race but there are several big dosh features where you can see clearly who the best horse(s) are and know they are nailed down for the race. Then it just comes down to luck in the running. That's a gamble I embrace. That aside, watching "The Whale" for hours doesn't exactly excite me. Neither does Marc Cookson wearing shirts that are three sizes too small. On the subject of Cookson. I think the greyhound caller that did the Coast meetings is far better sticking to the dishlickers. I assume he was on a $1 commission for every time he used the pet name "Cookie" while referring to Cookson. It was nauseating but the good news is he can now easily buy a Ferrari Testarossa when he gets paid his commission.

My size wagering won't hurt any club Shad. I'm not wanting to punish anyone.....apart from my ex wife If I or others refused to go to any racetrack that has dubious results along the way there wouldn't be any tracks left to attend. Racetracks are one of my happy places but if they become an unhappy place I won't return. The blatant nature of what unfolded coupled with the stewards having no issue makes the venue an unhappy place for me. Felt Micra Wave, Raging Whitebait and Judgement Bay were all good things yesterday @ Reefton but my cue is back in the rack and will be staying there.
  17. The later Tony. Very special man. Tears when I learned of his passing. He was big in our family. Weddings, funerals and "other". He came to see me in 1982 when I missed the turn off in life I should have taken. Lost youth to Lost Breed. He repeated the same word a dozen times to introduce himself to me. It was the F word. He got my attention and always knew how to do that

Just to clarify my meaning there Shad. I didn't mean horses can't win if they have second line draws or start from long marks at Reefton. I remember well the warriors you mentioned especially Joy Boy. If you look at the home bend turning in at Reefton it's only a short straight once they line up in the home straight. This is why leaders and those up near the front dominate results. As for Westport. If Mo'unga or Cardigan Bay or Lord Module wanted to win from well back 10 to 12 lengths off them, they need to make their run prior to straightening up. Goose is a very good driver and knew that which is why I'm incredulous at the way he drove Mo'unga. He had absolutely no hope of winning when he carried on smoking his pipe for a good 20 seconds after he should have moved had the plan been to win. Drivers can time their run to a nose so when you only get serious once it's impossible to win you know something is not right. Sam Ottley on Tempo Warrior was gifted the race and she is such a good driver from the top she doesn't need those types of gifts. John Dunn the same at Reefton with Jimmy Arma. Bottom line is I don't believe the connections of Mo'unga will be unhappy with the outcomes. They have a horse that has progressed nicely fitness wise and will win several races this prep. Many others are not so happy. Their dollars are worth the same in March as every other month. Had I made the three hour trip to Westport and watched that unfold, I can tell you exactly what I would have done. Left the course immediately and never return. Some including the stewards didn't see an issue with the tactics adopted. To wager I need confidence in more than just the horse. I won't gamble again until Cup time. Despite Gammalite's contention, I'm aghast that Robbie was not even asked for a "Please Explain" at Westport. If that drive didn't warrant questions than I've forgotten after 50 years how to read races. If that's correct, even Cup day might not tempt me back. Did Mo'unga set out to obtain the best possible placing @ Westport ? Perhaps that rule has been removed from the rule book without my knowledge....or perhaps the Stewards put such drives in the too hard basket to take action. Far easier to penalize connections for trivial matters that in many cases don't matter a jot but can easily be proven. I'm a wordy guy so to paraphrase, my frustration and disappointment. It comes from two aspects. How blatant the drive was and that no questions were asked or reminders of obligations etc.
  19. I see Salvi's name in the tributes. Another guy from the top drawer of life. https://deaths.nelsonmail.co.nz/nz/obituaries/nelson-mail-nz/name/john-goodman-obituary?id=40928487
  20. Well said. We lost him around this time of year in 2017 or 18. You'll never find a soul that would say a bad word about him. Respected by all. His mark is on many Nelson sports people. You know a few locals. Did you ever cross paths with Tony Barnett ? That name will be either a no....or of course.

Great price for Sods Law today Shad. Several of the winners were not hard to find based on first day form. Not sure Mo'unga is overrated. Very few can come from that far back at Reefton. John Dunn most have been giggling all through the race. I predict Mo'unga win next time, especially if its at headquarters and the race has been targeted. One pattern that was hard to miss at the meeting was how well runners that lead or trailed did. Positive drives = positive results............................
  22. Some great local names there TAB. I remember Bevan Congdon. Fabulous competitive player but a kind gentleman also. He mentored our team alongside a few other big names. We were coached by Nelson legend John Goodman who told me I was the most naturally gifted sportsman he'd ever coached. Big plans there only to mangle my hand and destroy my cricket career which set off a chain of events that changed my life trajectory. Played numerous games with Tony Blain. Excellent keeper and enjoyed sending the ball to and over the boundary. He had a well developed sense of humour. You won't find any Walt Kowalski in the Nelson history books Too busy making Gran Torino. Jeff Crowe was an excellent player and a very good skipper but he was several years before me at schoolboy level. I think he's aged around 76 or 77. Rod Dixon brings back memories. He went to Waimea College. What a great era that was for NZ runners. John Walker, Dick Quax etc
  23. Egg on my face. I thought son for some reason. Now I really feel old Ken just like Jock was the keeper and an underrated batsman. Still fondly remembered. Another taken way too soon. I can still see his smiling face. Black Caps are solid today. Without wanting to downplay their efforts, if batting for them is now fairly straight forward, it will be the same for the Aussies

With 20 minutes until Mo'unga races at Reefton, I thought I'd check the betting on him. The money just keeps on coming. The complete opposite to Friday. ...interesting Will he be put in the race today? The betting says a resounding ...yes
